Tournament NPAA Season 2 Signups

npaarcadian.png

Hello and welcome to Season 2 of NPA-Arcadian! I started this project last year to give a chance to some up and coming talent that either wasn't quite ready for NPA or just hadn't had a chance to show out yet. Last year was a great success, and this season we had approximately 10 players make the jump to NPA. The only restriction is that if you are currently rostered in NPA, you are not eligible for NPAA. Non-player managers are welcome to join!

SIGNUP: here, RULES: here. Once inside, feel free to assign roles and go fill out the interest forms! The schedule is also contained within the rules for those curious. SERVER LINK: https://discord.gg/XPmmtfCyVd

Admin staff this year is myself (Carneyasada), jackofspadesman, mc_honor, DutchTurtleVGC, and Cable in an advisory role. Please reach out to me first if you have any questions :)

The tourney format is 8 teams playing 7 weeks of round robin, top 4 make playoffs. Regular season is 8v8 and we shift to 7v7 for playoffs.

Teams this year will be:
Lavender City Tumbleweeds: Returning champs, managers Damo + ViA_Don + therazer456
Celadon Dons: S1 finalist, managers Justified Joe + Kiansay + MissingNoL
Snowbelle B-Lizards: RKD + JeanMarc are advising, but the day to day management is now Yoship + Adit + Duckii
Ecruteak Rainbows: Management team of jackofspadesman + Lukky
Vermilion City Bros: Management team of Nino + KDamarni10
Oreburgh City Sandstorms: Aldrich returns after the departure of the Cyllage City Coals, joined by Flarefox_7 and Castorbrown
Cascarrafa Mirage: Newly minted and led by CondorNJ and ways45
Black City Volts: Also new to the league, helmed by Akram Hamdi, Jontra, and KeanuFPS

Last but not least! The winning team this year will be forcing me to dye my hair to the color of their choice, to be debuted at NAIC this year. Additionally, a donation will be made to a charity of choice TBD by the winning team.

Hey,

Awesome initiative, but isn't the signup form a bit long? I, for one, can't be bothered to write my entire life story down in a 14 question, all mandatory, questionnaire to simply sign up for a tournament, alongside some information which I'd rather not share with some stranger on the internet such as my e-mail address. Not to mention that questions 8 through 13 could probably all be replaced by a single, optional one.

Maybe take some inspiration from the signup formats other team tournaments on this website use?

Kind regards,

Larry

Thanks for the feedback! Most of the signup questions were run by the managers, who seemed to like having sections broken up more. A couple of the questions did not end up getting much traction and will likely be left off for next time. As for the email address part, that was something I wanted to try because it allows people to A) edit their responses and B) confirm they applied, last season I had several bursts of the same question asking "can you check if I signed up?" but that could probably be dropped if it's really hampering interest in joining. Best wishes and hope to see you next year perhaps!
