Welcome to the hub thread for this year's NU Classic! The NU Mod team is excited to announce that NU Classic is getting a total revamp this year and will be bigger than ever!
We have decided to expand NU Classic into its own fully fleshed out circuit, similar to how the SV NU Official Circuit is structured. We are also combining all oldgens into this one circuit, so that NU Classic playoffs will consist of all gens from 1 - 8, thus rewarding whoever has truly mastered our wide range of NU metagames. We have incorporated additional tours into the NU Classic circuit on top of our usual Cups, and to compensate we will be increasing the number of NU Classic playoffs participants from 8 to 16! This means that the top 16 players who amass the most points from the 2026 NU Classic circuit will compete for the title of NU Classic Champion and be added to the NU Hall of Fame! As an added bonus, the winner of 2026's NU Classic will also be awarded with a Custom Avatar prize of their choice! Best of luck to everyone participating and we hope you enjoy these changes.

- NU Classic Masters is a Bo3 tournament which showcases our beloved classic fairygens and also SS NU (Gen 8, 7, and 6)
- NU Homefield is also a Bo3 tournament which includes gens 1-5 (more info on how this will work closer to the date)
- NU Classic Playoffs will use a tier pick system rather than a tier strike system, the higher seed will pick their tier first.
