NU Stally team thing.

First try at NU team.
This won't be too elaborate, but this is my try at Nu which is a tier I have always wanted to get in to. It is a kind of toxic stall type team.

Persian
053.gif

4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Ability: Technician
Nature: Jolly
Item: Silk scarf

-Fake out ( of course)
-Taunt
-U-turn
-Knock off

This set is a classic Persian lead with knock off added for fun. I usually don't start with fake-out due to the player usually predicting it and switching to a pokemon who won't take much damage or is immune. The move I generally start with is knock off. Knock off can catch some players by surprise and lets me get rid of pesky choiced items or lefties for walls. Taunt is to prevent pokes from setting up on me. Throughout the rest of the match I will then go in and out with persian and use fake out and then U-turn to toxic stall.

Sandslash
028.gif

252 HP / 252 def/6 ATk
Ability: Sand veil
Nature: impish
item: Leftovers

-Rapid spin
-Superfang
-Toxic
-Protect

This set is meant to toxic stall my opponent as I split their health in half with super fang. Spinning to avoid too much damage from rocks for Mantine. I chose to go with a defensive set due to my pokes leaning more to SP def dominance.

Probopass

252 HP / 168 SpD / 88 Spe
Ability: Magnet Pull
Nature: Calm
Item: Lefties

-Toxic
-Earth power
-Stealth rock
-Flash cannon

Porb works with Sandslash and Mantine very well, covering the majority of their weaknesses. Toxic to hurt my opponent and Stealth rock because rocks are important. Earth power for steels and fire types and Flash cannon for Stab.

Mantine
226.gif

252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Calm
Item: Lefties

-Ice beam
-Surf
-Toxic
-HP flying

Standard Mantine special wall. Toxic is for stalling and other moves are for offense. Standard.

Gardevoir
282.gif

252 HP / 48 SpA / 176 SpD / 32 Spe
Ability: Synchronize
Nature: Modest
item: Lefties

-Wish
-Will-o-wisp/Heal bell
-Thunderbolt/Heal bell
-Psychic

Gardervoir provides some much need Wish support for the team as well as some powerful offensive moves for late game sweeping. Will-o-Wisp is for pokes who aren't affected by Toxic. I'm considering giving Gardevoir heal bell to protect my team from status, but I'm not sure.

Typloshion
157.gif

252 SPA/ 252 Spe/ 6 HP
ability: Blaze
Nature: Modest
Item: Choice Scarf

-Eruption
-Fire blast
-focus blast
-HP grass

Typloshion comes out at the end once the team is weakened and either fires of eruptions if I got rid of rocks or F-blasts. Focus blast is for pesky normal type walls. HP grass is to take care of Quagsire and Gastro.

That is my team in it's entirety. I haven't played NU before so please be harsh ;)

Rule 3 said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.

All of your descriptions with the exception of Persian's are lacking. You need to improve on your descriptions. Try and stay away from 1-2 line descriptions, aim for at least 3-4 lines. Explain why you chose a Pokemon, what it does, how does it contribute to the success of the team, etc. If you fix the descriptions properly, PM me the changes; if they are sufficient enough I will unlock your thread with the edited descriptions.
