Quite Quiet The game was already played, agreed upon and settled, there's zero reason to revert the result just because an absent and misinformed manager isn't satisfied with the outcome because it negatively affects them. I thought we were all here to play some Pokemon, not dumpster dive for activity wins Abejas.

You have been playing mons for over 6 years, you know the rules. The deadlines are there for a reason, if you dont want this to happen then schedule like every other user does.
 
Quite Quiet It's been well over 24 hours since the game happened now, and literally nobody on my team has been given an explanation and justification for your decision. My manager has sent multiple PMs and been ignored, the entire NU discord has been asking for clarity, and I've spent the past day trying to get a sliver of information outside of a ridiculous "OK" message. If you care about the integrity of this tournament then my win should not be voided. We're all here to get our matches done, and six measly minutes should not be more important or prioritised over actually playing and ending a potentially key week off the back of a shady and desperate activity call. It's bad enough that every single week has been posted substantially late, but being silent for this long is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. For the sake of this tournament's integrity, please give us justification for your decision and I urge you to consider the full context around it and it's implications. This needs to be settled ASAP and not just swept under the rug. The NU Community is waiting.

which coincidentally allows your team to win the week instead of tying. dont be disingenuous, you know what is meant here. you're taking advantage of a technicality in a for-fun tour to give your team better odds at making playoffs. it's terrible sportsmanship and should not be rewarded by the host of this tournament if he knows what he's doing. if you wanted to shoot for a deadgame your player simply shouldnt have played to begin with, but what's done is done.
 
I wrote in the other post that the decision to let people replay was a mistake and that it shouldn't have been replayed at all. That game's result ended up the same so I didn't do anything. There is a deadline in the first place to put an end to the week after which games can no longer be completed. Games played after the fact shouldn't count, unless your interpretation of deadline is different. If there were other games played after deadline that were counted and that I missed I'd gladly go back and undo those too. I really don't have anything else to say about this.

I will accept that I've not been particularly quick with the rounds on Mondays. That's mostly my fault and I would take that.

Did something change in the past month? Is NUPL no longer a "mostly fun tournament with not a whole lot at stake?" This call completely contradicts the call you made in Week 1, for the sake of "actually playing games". Apparently it's fine to bring an illegal mon to games, but we're drawing the line at 6 minutes past the deadline? Surely, we can all see the absurdity in this...
 
One of the things I thought was the most fair about pupl was handling dead games as not counting towards a win if they would push a team across that line. So, if a matchup ends up 4-3 with dead game, the team at 4 would only end up with one point.

I have no idea if my opinion on what the most fair outcome is matters considering that, well I played the damn game. Regardless, it seriously is something that should be considered so this never happens again.

Not counting the played game feels like it goes against the spirit of this tournament and tournaments in general; not only would it prove contradictory with prior rulings in NUPL, but it would also imply that our first and foremost priority is not games getting done.

I respect deadlines and they serve a clear purpose, but the next week was not being held up and both players made an active effort to get the game done prior to and right at the deadline. There was a noteworthy timezone difference and personal circumstances that may have interfered, but you cannot claim that sheer laziness or inactivity caused this game to be pushed after the deadline or anything like that, especially when it was just slightly afterwards.

I implore the host to revisit their decision. I also implore people to stop being rude to Abejas; you would do the same exact thing in his shoes and you know it.
 
wrong, i would not do the same thing as abejas.

as a sexhaver like my good friends eternally, teal6, bushtush, shrug, ima etc, i would recognize that nupl is simply a "for fun" tour and not fight for a game that was played 6 mins past the deadline to be declared invalid.
