(^ That title isn't permanent, by the way. It's just there as a placeholder, and if anyone is willing to share me ideas that would be better, I'd be glad to listen)
Hello, all of ya reading this post! I can't seem to find an exact list of things that I should include in this post, so I'll try to be as detailed as I can. If anyone needs more information, though, feel free to ask away, and I'll supply said information.
First of all, let me explain what my idea exactly is. As a player who often tests his skills in the rungs of the ladder, I've met countless players, inexperienced and powerful, lucky and unlucky, thoughtful and smug. I even befriended a handful of them. But, although the players themselves play a huge role in deciding the victor of a battle, I am mostly interested in the sets people run. I've seen people run absurd sets that I never even dreamed would work; Parting Shot Smeargle, Pain Split Pineco, Leech Seed Cottonee, Assist/V-Create Spinda, Moxie/Entrainment Pyroar, the list goes on. Some are used to great success. The others, not so much. Every now and then I see sets that I'd think were made so that it'd lose. Every time I see sets like these, I couldn't help but be confused; but when I tell people about it, they'd laugh. Hard. I plan to make an article discussing these obscure sets; what [ I ] call them, which Pokemon it involves, the moveset itself, and why it simply doesn't work.
Of course, I won't make up sets that come from the top of my head. Although I can't prove every single one of the claimed sets, I can prove some to be true. I'll attempt to fill in blanks into incomplete sets though, if that's needed; otherwise a quick "???" would be fine by me, too. That aside, these sets won't be limited to the ones I find via laddering; I get quite a few stray challenges from the main server's lobby, for some reason, and I also plan to discuss sets from those. I don't know what the minimum would be for an article, but I feel like it should be in my reach. I might be able to prepare a per-tier article, though I'd need some time to rummage through ladders and challenges.
I feel like the 33rd The Smog's deadline may be too close, thus I'm requesting for this idea to be put back for the 34th's release. Then again, if the board thinks the deadline isn't that pressing, I'm willing to do this for the 33rd issue.
That's all I have to say for now, thanks for reading! Again, if any of you have a query that's not answered in this post, feel free to ask me in any way you can reach me, and I'll be happy to answer.
