Social Obscure TV Shows

I am from Brazil and we did not have easy access to TV shows like we do now in the States. My older brother introduced me to Banshee which became my favorite TV show of all time. I do not know if it is as obscure in the States but it was not a show most of my friends in Brazil had ever seen.
One of the best shows ever is a 90s sitcom called Joking Apart, which is forever confined to the abyss of obscurity, despite being written by Steven Moffat who has since become prolific for his writing on Doctor Who, Sherlock and Coupling.
Specifically, I think series 2 episode 1 is the funniest thing there has ever been, followed closely by series 1 episode 3.
