Octillery (mini) QC [1/2]

he dropped -mz
[OVERVIEW]
At first glance, Octillery may seem like a pretty good water type attacker but once you really look into it, it’s stats are what let it down the most. It’s non existent speed renders it useless against most opponents and is the reason it gets outclassed by most water types in the tier. Ludicolo, although not the fastest pokemon, is much better than Octillery in all areas. Along with Ludicolo, Wishiwashi and Jellicent do the Trick Room attacker job better than Octillery due to their superior bulk and sheer power.

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Hydro Pump / Surf
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Energy Ball
item: Life Orb
ability: Sniper
nature: Quiet
evs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
This set attempts to help Octillery on Trick Room with its already low speed and also focuses on its coverage. However, Ludicolo’s stats and typing make it a far more reliable water mon with more bulk and power.

[SET]
name: Assault Vest(eh, I'd rather the set be a TR sweeper)
move 1: Hydro Pump / Surf / Scald(remove scald)
move 2: Fire Blast / Flamethrower(remove flamethrower)
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Energy Ball
item: Assault Vest(prob life orb here)
ability: Sniper
nature: Modest(Quiet)
evs: 252 HP, 252 SpA, 4 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]
This set attempts to help Octillery tank a hit and be able to hit back with some sort of power. Change this to being about how its a tr sweeper and mention its good coverage)However, Ludicolo’s stats and typing make it a far more reliable Assault Vest user with more bulk and power.

you did some of uberskitty's check but didn't change the rest of the analysis so the changed bits vs original bits make zero sense next to each other. let me know when you've done the check and I'll look at this again, ik it's mini but this just can't be stamped in its current form
[OVERVIEW]

At first glance, Octillery may seem like a pretty good water type attacker but once you really look into it, it’s stats are what let it down the most. It’s wrong one reeee non existent speed renders it useless against most opponents and is the reason it gets outclassed by most water types in the tier. Ludicolo, although not the fastest pokemon, is much better than Octillery in all areas. Along with Ludicolo, Wishiwashi and Jellicent do the Trick Room attacker job better than Octillery due to their undeniable pick a better adjective bulk and sheer power. this is written in a way that doesnt make sense

[SET]
name: Trick Room
move 1: Hydro Pump / Surf
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Ice Beam
move 4: Energy Ball
item: Life Orb
ability: Sniper
nature: Quiet
evs: 252 HP, 252 SpA, 4 SpD this is formatted incorrectly, it needs to be done with slashes. look at other analyses for an example

[SET COMMENTS]

This set attempts to help Octillery on Trick Room with its already low speed and also focuses on its coverage. However, Ludicolo’s stats and typing make it a far more reliable Assault Vest user AV user ?????? ludicolo never runs av and octillery isnt running it either with more bulk and power.

right, i'm not very confident that you've implemented either of these checks properly. set comments is pretty barebones and calls ludicolo a trick room user, and in general you shouldn't be drawing back to that mon as much as you are since they're used on two completely separate archetypes. its poor speed should also not be emphasized as such a large con since the set is built for trick room.

apologies for being late but I've decided to qc reject this. there has been a clear lack of effort when implementing checks given to you which leads to completely false and irrelevant information being mixed in with what you decided to add. both overview and set comments are barely optimized for a trick room set and you give false implications that ludicolo and jellicent are used on the archetype.
