[SET COMMENTS]
Mega Gardevoir's stellar base 165 Special Attack stat in tandem with its ability Pixilate, decent Special Defense, and renowned speed tier make it a vicious wallbreaker against slower defensive Dark, Dragon, and Fighting types such as Ting-Lu, Defensive Garchomp, and Great Tusk. Its ability Trace can also allow it to come in on Pokemon and take advantage of their abilities, like Dauntless Sheild Zamazenta using Close Combat, Regenerator Pokemon such as Alomomola and Tornadus-Therian, Swift Swim Pokemon like Mega Swampert, and even Flash Fire Heatran. Strong Psychic STAB in Psyshock ensures Poison types like Toxapex and Slowking-Galar take a lot of damage if they try to switch into a Hyper Voice. 100 Base speed allows it to outpace threats like non-Choice Scarf variants of Urshifu-R and Kyurem helping in making revenge killing harder. Mystical Fire allows Mega Gardevoir to not be walled by Steel types like Ferrothorn while also denying switch-in opportunities to Gholdengo and Mega Scizor, making sure it isn't setup fodder. Taunt allows it to shut down setup such as Calm Mind on Raging Bolt, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Fini, while also blocking defensive Pokemon such as Gliscor, Toxapex, Blissey, or Ting-Lu from using status moves like Toxic or Thunder Wave, setting entry hazards like Stealth Rock or Spikes, and using recovery moves to shrug off the damage it deals. Focus Blast, similarly to Mystical Fire, makes sure Mega Gardevoir isn't walled by steel types, while also hitting Heatran and Melmetal.
Mega Gardevoir's works best on offense or bulky offense structures due to its lack of real physical bulk, no reliable recovery, and vulnerability to Spikes not allowing it many entry opportunities. It works best with slow pivots like Corviknight, Slowking-Galar, or Alomomola that can cover its weaknesses to Steel and Poison and get it on the field safely multiple times. It also greatly appreciates partners that can set hazards on forced switches, like Hisuian Samurott, offensive Garchomp, and Great Tusk. Thanks to Mega Gardevoir's incredible matchup into Ting-Lu, it has great synergy with Pokemon who are walled by it, like Ghostium Z Gholdengo and Raging Bolt. Fast physical attackers like Choice Scarf Urshifu-R, Zamazenta, and Mega Lopunny or priority such as Bullet Punch from Mega Scizor and Mega Medicham and Sucker Punch from Kingambit can revenge kill Mega Gardevoir if let in by a slow pivot, so strong physically defensive Pokemon like Corviknight, Toxapex, and Pecharunt are great defensive partners for it. Meanwhile, since it's easily revenge killed by Choice Scarf Pokemon like Urshifu-R and faster Pokemon like Tapu Koko or Weavile, Pokemon that can switch in and use them as setup opportunities like Ogerpon-Wellspring, Kingambit, and Gholdengo are great offensive partners that help with not giving up momentum.
