Offensive Pivots AND Sweeper Duck

I have been running this team for quite some time now(since well before SPL started) with different versions and such. It has proven pretty reliable in high level play and allowed me to easily top the ladder.

Kangaskhan (F) @ Kangaskhanite
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Double-Edge
- Power-Up Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Fake Out

I like to use Kangaskhan as a wrecking ball that won't quit throughout the match. Power-up Punch negates burns and puts you at +1 against Intimidate switch ins so you can blow things up. +2 Sucker Punches ruin Hyper Offense and +2 Double Edge OHKOs everything. +0 Double Edge OHKOs most things actually. There are a bunch of times where I will play conservative with mega mom though. 248 HP and Fake Out allows me to swap it around as a pivot to create some free turns throughout the match if need-be. A good tip for usage is that people will expect the Fake Out, so nailing things unexpectedly with Double Edge is very useful. This set can be a win condition sometimes if you avoid burn, but it is much better at opening up holes/creating free turns for the team.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 174 HP / 252 SAtk / 84 Spd
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave
- Earth Power
- Substitute
- Protect

Standard creepy SubTran! Min Speed Rotom-W is the big-time benchmark to beat and this set aims to outspeed everything trying to creep that benchmark while retaining the oh so crucial bulk. Heatran is crucial for taking advantage of Wil-o-Wisp and Heat Wave spam as well as checking Genesect, Scizor and Mega-Mawile. Kanga's Fake Out can help you reliably set up when you need it, but finding free turns with switches is generally more useful for gathering momentum.

Cresselia (F) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 242 Def / 16 Spd
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Icy Wind
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind
- Rest

Cresselia is actually one of the most reliable win conditions in the game. All you have to do is eliminate basically all the things that Heatran checks and possibly Taunt. That's why I'll play aggressive early game to punish Taunt users. Also, I have Icy Wind for early-game support/trolling Taunt users. Moonblast imo really should be standard on Cress, especially CM Cress since it gives much more coverage than STAB and has sexy 30% sDef drop rate. This spread is to maximize bulk for reliability once set up, but I have run other spreads with more sAtt that set up faster.

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 200 HP / 56 Spd / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Claw
- Extreme Speed
- Protect
- Earthquake

BASED DNITE. Known basically for LOLing at attacks such as Drain Punch and Giga Drain as Leftovers magically re-activates Multiscale and you proceed to threaten with 134 attack Dragon Claw and Extreme Speed. Earthquake is basically for Heatran, but also helps against Tyranitar/easing predicts against grounded mons/spread dmg when needed. The resists+Multiscale and Protect+Lefties are super crucial to its success and this Pokemon functions great as an offensive pivot similar to Kanga, but tankier.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- U-turn
- Stone Edge

Landog is one of the most used Pokemon for good reason. It can come in on all kinds of attacks to provide Intimidate support. Scarf Landog also is a real threat offensively and scarf U-turn spamming with Intimidate can go a long way to gaining momentum and softening checks for later. Stone Edge imo is much much much more important than Superpower or BOOM because it can OHKO Thundurus, do big dmg to Togekiss, get around Wide Guard, etc. Also, being locked into a stat-dropping move or blowing yourself up is very situational. I like this Landog to be reliable..

479-wash.gif

Rotom-Wash @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 88 SAtk / 152 SDef / 16 Spd
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Hydro Pump
- Electroweb
- Will-O-Wisp

Finally, Rotom-W holds the team together. It can float over Earthquakes, burn physical attackers, cause spread electric dmg to ease predicts WHILE making me faster than a lot of stuff, gets cool offensive coverage and is a great Fire+Water resits. 88 sAtt OHKOs Landog, but I have had success with running more bulk as well. 16 speed because creeping is kewl of course, my whole team creeps this thing.

Notable trouble makers:
Rain Ludicolo
Skymin
Gastrodon
Some TR teams

I have tried Assault Vest Kyurem over Dragonite and it has worked pretty well imo. Also, I have tried Hitmontop over Kanga and Mega Venusaur over Dragonite and that has also been decent. Finally, I have tried more of a supporting Cresselia and Lum Stealth Rocks Landog as well which is sometimes really good, but is harder to execute.

I made a warstory a while back of a older version of this team, but here it is in action. I think I have a few replays of the team on the doubles replay thread as well. This is also the team that I choked with round 1 of SPL, but don't let that discourage you from trying it out lol it was user error.
