This is my first ever RMT, with a team I've used to much success in Shoddy. But I have lost, and lost often, so I want to learn how to make my team better.
Hopefully you'll like my team, and will be able to help me. Thanks! ^^
Jirachi - Damp Rock
Serene Grace
252 HP/176 Speed/80 SpAtk
Timid
Rain Dance
Thunder
Water Pulse
U-turn
My lead. The focus was to get Rain Dance off, then Parafuse the opposing lead. U-turn is there to get a light hit while switching out. Generally I'll switch to my Kingdra for a straightforward sweep. If she's needed, I'll often use my Jirachi as a secondary sweeper.
Dugtrio - Choice Band
Arena Trap
40 HP/252 Atk/216 Speed
Jolly
Aerial Ace
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Pursuit
Obviously, to get rid of Tyrannitar, but more often then not ends up as my last Pokemon, trying to sweep with a Banded Earthquake.
Starmie - Leftovers
Natural Cure
136 HP/156 Def/216 Speed
Timid
Rain Dance
Rapid Spin
Recover
Thunder
Seeing as my team requires very little Rapid Spin support, I'm not entirely sure why I put this Starmie in here. It makes for durable Rain Dance support though, and if I were to change it, I have no idea what to change it to. The reason I opted for Thunder over STAB Surf was because I already have enough water-type moves, and if Starmie ended up being my last Pokemon (which does often happen) it won't end up being walled by water types, and can net a surprise kill.
Bronzong - Damp Rock
Levitate
252 HP/128 Atk/128 Def
Impish
Rain Dance
Reflect
Stealth Rock
Explosion
The main focus for this guy is very simple: Stealth Rock, Reflect. Has rain ended? Yes: Rain Dance. Explode. He almost never fails to net me a kill, mainly because I don't think anyone expects me to use Explosion straight away like I do.
Kingdra - Life Orb
Swift Swim
252 Atk/240 SpAtk/16 HP
Lonely
Draco Meteor
Waterfall
Surf
Rain Dance
I despise Outrage. A lot. I hate not having any control of that my Pokemon do, so I made Kingdra a mixed sweeper without Outrage. He works really very well; he tempts out physical walls when I use Waterfall, then I net the kill with Surf. I almost never use Rain Dance, but it's there if I need it. Draco Meteor is there simply for the oomph. ^^
Ludicolo - Life Orb
Swift Swim
252 SpAtk/252 Spd/4 HP
Modest
Surf
Energy Ball
Ice Beam
Rain Dance
Secondary sweeper. He never sees much battling, sadly, 'cos Kingdra does all the work unless he dies, and anything that kills him can certainly polish off Ludicolo in a few moves. He does have his uses though, mainly for bulky waters that Kingdra has to switch out for 'cos of Draco Meteor's SpAtk drop.
Conclusion: I like my team. It works well, but it's completely and utterly walled by Calm Mind + Substitute Suicune. I'm also very proud of my team, but I know it can stand to be improved.
That's basically my team in a nutshell. What do you guys think?
Hopefully you'll like my team, and will be able to help me. Thanks! ^^
