Hello, everyone. This is not only my first RMT thread, but also my very first thread :D! I decided to do this thread to show how useful this steel team has been for me, getting me out of the low ladder and overall being a really good team in my opinion. Now, if you have any criticism on my team on how to improve this team, I'll be happy to hear from you. But, without further delay. Let's get into the team.

Dig Dug (Excadrill) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly/Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- X-Scissor
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
Excadrill is the fastest Pokemon on this team thanks to the Choice Scarf. Getting a maximum speed of 453, Excadrill can outspeed a lot of threats to steel types such as Medicham and Infernape with ease. Even running Adamant nature, Excadrill can still outspeed both aforementioned Pokemon and knock them out due to their low defenses. As for Mold Breaker, it can screw over Rotom forms (with the exception of Rotom-F :P) as well as Eelektross. Earthquake and Iron head are Excadrill's main STAB options, and don't need too much explaining as to how they work. Rock Slide is a nice option for any flying types to switch in expecting Earthquake, particularly Mandibuzz and Charizard. Finally, X-Scissor is mostly a coverage option for psychic and dark types.

Trap Card (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 248 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Flash Cannon
As the name implies, Magnezone is the ultimate trap Pokemon for steel vs. steel situations. With Magnet Pull, you can trap whatever you like and kill it off without too much hassle. The 8 SpD in Magnezone's EVs will allow it to counteract other Magnezones if the opponent just so happens to have one of his own. Volt Switch allows for Magnezone to not only act as an offensive pivot, but also allows it to get out of Magnezone mirror matchups. HP Fire is generally for Ferrothorn and Scizor, if you haven't guessed.

Iron Chef (Heatran) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 172 SpA / 84 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Protect
- Toxic
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
This Heatran is more of a wall than it is an attacker, and Air balloon really helps out in situations where your opponent will hit you with ground moves, meaning Heatran is only threatened by water and fighting. The Toxic/Protect combo is good for stalling out specially defensive Pokemon. Meanwhile, Lava Plume and Earth Power are your only methods of attacking, which Heatran uses pretty well.

レッド (Scizor) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Bug Bite
The Mega Pokemon of the team, and the Pokemon that is best saved when your opponent's team has been whittled down a bit. Swords Dance will boost Scizor already high attack power greatly, and Roost will allow for Scizor to last much longer in battle if it's getting hurt. Bullet Punch makes for an excellent priority move, taking out Pokemon that can outspeed and potentially OHKO Scizor, whereas Bug Bite is for psychic and dark types . This is Mega Diancie's worst nightmare come to life.

Durian (Ferrothorn) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 172 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def / 76 SpD
Impish Nature
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
Having max defense and EV investment in special defense and HP, Ferrothorn can tank quite a few special attacks, even fire moves from mixed attacking Garchomp and Tyranitar. Thunder Wave is a nice move for slowing down any fast threats on the opponent's team, and Stealth Rock is nice for flying types and ice types. Leech Seed makes up for Ferrothorn's lack of recovery from Leftovers and Power Whip is its main method of attacking other Pokemon, thus it also has investment in attack EVs. Rocky Helmet is useful for countering any physical attackers wanting to punch Ferrothorn in the face as the damage from Iron Barbs and Rocky Helmet deal a considerable amount of damage, not to mention if the attacker is running Life Orb as well.

SR-71 (Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 220 HP / 36 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Stealth Rock
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind
Skarmory is normally your lead Pokemon. You can either use it as a suicide lead, or keep it around for later in case of a setup sweeper so you can use Whirlwind to prevent it from taking down your whole team. Combine this with Stealth Rock, and Skarmory will be able to shift the opponent's Pokemon left and right, dealing slight or huge damage depending on the type. Brave Bird is the only move that prevents Skarmory from being Taunt bait for Pokemon such as Sableye or Mandibuzz. While the team isn't truly afraid of Stealth Rock, Defog can blow away Spikes off the field in order to insure your Pokemon stay healthy as the fight continues.
Fighting Types: This team really hates Choice Scarf Terrakion. For that matter, this team really hates going up against fighting types in general. Your only switch-ins are Skarmory and Ferrothorn, though fighting types like Keldeo and Infernape can easily destroy the two.
Fast Pokemon: Anything that outspeeds a Choice Scarf Excadrill is very bad for your team. Victini is an example of this as scarf Victinis are quite common on psychic and fire teams, and because they can be either physically or specially offensive, it can be difficult to know what you're up against.
Physical Walls: The only special attackers on my team are Magnezone and Heatran. If both of them are taken out, and there are physically defensive Pokemon such as Slowbro and Mega Sableye in the way, you're gonna have a bad time.
