Tera Type: Fire / Steel / Electric

- Bullet Punch
- Close Combat
- Knock Off

[SET COMMENTS]

Technician-boosted Bullet Punch is a big reason why Scizor is such a great late-game Pokemon and revenge killer once the opposing team is worn down. Close Combat is a great coverage move for Scizor, as it complements Bullet Punch a bit too casual imo well due to it being super effective against Steel-resistant Pokemon like Excadrill, Cobalion, Empoleon, and Tera Steel Hydrapple. Knock Off allows Scizor to force progress even against foes it cannot do much damage against like defensive Zapdos, Skeledirge, and Toxapex. Tera Fire gives Scizor the advantage against Pokemon that rely on burning it like Skeledirge and Rotom-W while making it so Fire-type attacks bounce off it, although Rotom-W can threaten it with a super effective Hydro Pump. Tera Steel powers up Scizor's Bullet Punch, allowing it to both break through foes and pick off weakened threats more effectively. Tera Electric is a great tool against Zapdos, Tornadus-T, and Thundurus-T, allowing Scizor to beat them one-on-one without being worried about Static, strong Electric-type attacks, and coverage.

This Scizor set fits best on hyper offensive teams that can create a path to win late-game by weakening checks like Zapdos, Toxapex, and Rotom-W. Entry hazard support is a great way for Scizor to find itself in a scenario where the foes are weakened enough thanks to the chip damage of hazards from Excadrill, Mew, and Sandy Shocks. Excadrill is a great partner, as it can remove hazards so that Scizor doesn't get worn down by passive damage as quickly as it would otherwise. Alternatively, Mew and Sandy Shocks both provide Spikes alongside Stealth Rock to help wear down Scizor's checks more quickly. Sandy Shocks can also take on Zapdos and Tornadus-T while also luring in Hydrapple and removing it with Tera Blast Ice. Strong Pokemon like Ogerpon-C, Latios, and Thundurus-T can create opportunities for Scizor by punching holes against Pokemon like Zapdos, Hydrapple, and Mandibuzz. Keldeo and Greninja are Pokemon that Scizor might give free turns to fire off powerful attacks thanks to them resisting Bullet Punch, so Azumarill is a great partner, as it helps deal with these threats and pressures checks and counters that it shares with Scizor to help open up a late-game sweep.

That is the OU spread. 180 Spe hits a bunch of other Speed creep benchmarks so it can't be used for an analysis for the reasons you stated.

[SET COMMENTS]

Technician Bullet Punch is a big reason of why Scizor is such a great late game Pokemon and revenge killer once the opposing team is worn down. Close Combat is a great coverage move for Scizor and compliments Bullet Punch really well as it helps against the steel resists that would easily absorb bullet punch like Excadrill, Cobalion, Empoleon, and Tera steel Hydrapple, and Raikou. Knock Off allows Scizor to be able to force progress even against Pokemon it cannot do much damage against like defensive Zapdos, Rotom-w, Skeledirge, Mandibuzz, and Toxapex. , and more, while This is too wordy for one sentence also you really should limit your list of examples to 2-3 Quick Attack alongside Tera Normal gives Scizor a better edge against fast steel resists like Keldeo, tera electric Latios, Greninja, and Manaphy. Tera fire gives Scizor the advantage against Pokemon that rely on burns like Skeledirge, and Rotom-W while making it so Fire attacks bounce off it. State the potential risk against Rotom-W with Hydro Pump The speed allows it to hit Mandibuzz, and slow Rotom-W, as hard as possible after a swords dance while maximum attack investment allows it to make sure every hit that lands hits leaves the biggest mark on the opponent. Change this for the updated spread. Just say it maximizes its Speed and damage.

Add a line just before the EV spread stuff about Tera Electric for Zapdos allowing it to 1vs1 it without being worried about Static. You can also mention how it helps its matchup into Tornadus-T and Thundurus-T.

This Scizor set fits best on offensive teams that can create a path to win late game by weakening most of its direct counterplay like Zapdos, Toxapex, Rotom-Wash, and other bullet punch resists a team usually has. A pokemon that really helps it is a pokemon like pivot Tornadus-T who usually lures in pokemon like Zapdos and Rotom-w and hits them with a knock off, Torn-T can also pivot scizor in and give it setup opportunities against sp. def Slowking, Tinkaton, Empoleon, and more which Scizor can take advantage by giving it opportunities to swords dance due to the threat of a strong knock off or close combat. Yeah, I'm not a fan of this example and some of the mentions. Tornadus-T provides slower progress if using Knock, which while fine isn't the mon I would open up with given your opening statement about offensive teams. Also, some of these Scizor does not want setup on. Slowking can potentially burn and Tink is slower and can Encore. Hazard support is a great way for Scizor to find itself in a scenario where the opponents are weakened enough thanks to the chip damage of spikes and stealth rocks from Excadrill, Mew, Tinkaton, Ogerpon, and Sandy Shocks. Ogerpon pairs well with Scizor as alongside being able to gives setup opportunities with Encore and accumulate chip damage with spikes, it can also use Knock Off against common Bullet Punch resists like Zapdos, tera steel Latios, Mandibuzz, and Kommo-o. The latter two don't resist Bullet Punch. Tbh I'd rather you focused on Sandy Shocks and Excadrill more than Ogerpon. Excadrill provides removal as LO + hazards can rack up fast. Sandy has a favorable matchup with Zapdos and Torn + can lure in and remove Hydrapple with Tera Blast Ice.

Add:

  • Strong wallbreakers should be mentioned. Ogerpon-C, Latios, and Thundurus-T for example can punch holes against Pokemon like Zapdos, Hydrapple, and Mandibuzz.
  • Mention Azumarill as it can help check Keldeo, Greninja, and Kommo-o, which Scizor might give free turns to. They can pressure each other checks like Rotom-W and Sinistcha, for either to sweep late game.

A bit to add for the team options. Make sure you capitalize Pokemon names and moves. Let me know when you're done and I'll give 1/2.

Life Orb amplifies the power of Scizor's attacks to make it much more potent offensively. Tera Electric is a great tool for Zapdos, Tornadus-T, and Thundurus-T allowing it to 1v1 them without being worried about Static, strong Electric attacks, and coverage. The speed investment on Scizor allows it to maximize its opportunities to fire off attacks against other pokemon while max attack allows it to make as much progress against a team as possible (Pretty sure max max spreads don't get explained in the analysis as they don't do anything specific)

This Scizor set fits best on hyper offensive teams that can create a path to win late game by weakening most of its direct counterplay checks like Zapdos, Toxapex, and Rotom-wash Rotom-W., and other bullet punch resists a team usually has. Hazard support is a great way for Scizor to find itself in a scenario where the opponents are weakened enough thanks to the chip damage of spikes and stealth rocks hazards (Excadrill doesn't get spikes so its better to specify spikes when referring to Mew and Sandy Shocks) from Excadrill, Mew, Ogerpon, (When Hyper Offense does use Ogerpon, it isn't as a spiker) and Sandy Shocks. Excadrill is a great partner as it can remove Stealth Rock hazards which allows Scizor to not be worried by its Life Orb damage as much so that Scizor doesn't get worn down by passive damage as quickly as it would otherwise., while Alternatively, Mew and Sandy Shocks both provide Spikes alongside Stealth Rock to help wear down Scizor's checks more quickly. Sandy Shocks The ladder of which can also take on Zapdos, and Tornadus-T, while also luring in pokemon like Hydrapple in and removing them it with Tera Blast Ice. Keldeo, and Greninja are Pokemon who Scizor might give free turns to thanks to them resisting Bullet Punch, and taking advantage of that, so Azumarill is a great partner alongside Scizor as it helps deal with them these threats and allows each other to pressures shared checks and counters that it shares with Scizor to help open up a late game sweep. which can allow for a late game sweep be made
