Oh look, a n00b made a team

SO i'll get this out of the way first thing : I am bad at pokemon. I think the highest I've ever gotten with a team was like 1230, and that was a single battle where I only had to prdict for one pokemon at a time, where protect is a rare move, the item clause is enforcedand Hail is the least common weather. But even though I'm bad, I really do like to play it. I love the strategy and the teambuilding and the variety of teams. So when I heard the VGCs was double battle and ,for the first time since 2006 I think ,its coming to Colorado, I figured I would have to brush up on my battling skills.

So I threw together a sun team after seeing some of the most used pokemon right now. My rating dropped to about 875.

Well that wouldn't work, so I went screw it, lets buld the old fashioned way. No Trick Room, no Weather, No Tailwind, just some 'mons with good offensive synergy that can counter some commen threats.

My peak right now is 1010.

For the love of god please help this team.

Rotom-W@ Sitrus Berry
Modest 252 SPA, 4 DEF, 252 SPE
Discharge
Hydropump
Protect
Thunderwave

The first half of my primary offensive combo (that I like to call RotoChomp) Rotom focuses on paralyzing the opponents team to make it easier for me to sweep. It gets great synergy with garchomp since I can Spam Discharge (which Chomp is immune to) while Chomp spams Earthquake (Which Rotom is immune to). Protect is for scouting and protecting (durrdadurr).

Garchomp@ Yache Berry
Jolly 4 HP, 252 STK, 252 SPE
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Rockslide
Protect

I never got the chance to abuse this guy since I was so averse to him back when he was OU legal. Now I'm glad to finally get a chance to use him. I have to say though I dont think I'm using him right because I am not seeing the bannable power that I saw when we reigned back in early GenV. But thats Doubles then, different game. Earthquake is the most common move I use, since half of my team is immune or resists it. Rockslide is there for when I'm facing a flying type or an ice type or something.

Yanmega @Life Orb
Modest, 4 HP, 252 SPA, 252 SPE
Speed Boost
Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Protect
Tailwind

This is probrably the pokemon I'm most satisfied with on this team. It checks so many common pokemon (Latios, Ludicolo, Terrekion, Cresselia) that it almost always takes out a pokemon per game. Bug Buzz and Airslash get great neutral coverage, only resisted pretty much by Zapdos and Thunderus. Tailwind is there to counter other tailwind teams, essentialy negating their speed boost.

Slowking @Leftovers
Sassy 252 HP, 4 DEF, 252 SDEF
Scald
Ice Beam
Trick Room
Protect

I really do like this guy, he's my counter to trick room, rain and hail teams. Blizzspam does pretty much nothing to him, so the only threat on a hail team is a Woodhammer from Abomasnow. Rain teams only really have Giga Drain from Ludicolo to hurt me. Trick room undo's my opponents trick room and i can usually get it off before they have the chance to attack because, well, SLOWking.

Hitmonlee@ Fight Plate
Adamant 252 HP, 252 ATK, 4 SDEF
Technician
Mach Punch
Fake Out
Sucker Punch
Wide Guard

I understand that this guy was made famous in VGC back in 2010 I think with Hitmogre or something like that. Anyways, Hitmontop is the first of my priority abusers, but honestly im not to impressed with him. I should probrably switch him out since I slready have a Breloom with machpunch, but I dont know what to switch it with, I'm hoping for it to be a different Fakeout user. Please help with this guy first.

Breloom@ Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
Adamant 252 HP, 252 ATK, 4 SPE
Mach Punch
Spore
Seed Bomb
Protect

My second priority abuser and also my Spore user. Check terrekion, Cloyster, blahdeblahdeblah, he's mostly just there to fire off spores and do that last tiny bit of damage to my opponent. If you guys know a pokemon who would do that job better feel free to reccomend.

So that is my noobish team. Please please please help, I don't wanna lose the first round of VGC's because I havea crappy team.

if you use breloom with mach punch, technician is better than toxic heal and you can run bullet seed over seed bomb.a timid nature over the modest for rotom i think is a better choice, providing you to outspeed pokemon with a speed stat of 100 with a neutral nature like salamence or celebi. also hp ice over thundr wave provides more coverage to check grass types that can resist both garchomp and rotom. chandelure is a good replacement for slowking: with imprison + TR you can stop opponent's set up and heat wave/shadow ball provides good coverage.
good luck

It's just a tough, but i think you should run max speed on hitmontop. Yes it sounds strange, why run max speed when i have all priority attacks? Just because hitmontop is very common and with max speed you can fake out him before he fakes out you and this provides you to have a better game start. Also breloom needs max speed, 70 base stat is just mediocre and with only 4 evs is outspeeded by lots of pokrmon. In tailwind breloon is good but out of it breloom risks to be too slow. I suggest you to replace breloom too. It's excellent in single but in double battles if he has a substitute up it's obvious that your opponent will use attacks like heat wave or earthquake to kill the substitute and then easily kill breloom. Chandelure is a good replacement like i've said before.
