Oh my Dayum

Why i made this team:
Basically my brother wanted an Ubers team and he wouldn't eat lunch w/ me until i gave him an ubers team, so i did what anyone would do.... I made a team in 5 minutes. I just gave him a random team that looked decent to satisfy him.

Team building: None i made the team in 5 minutes.

Groudon @ Lum Berry
Trait: Drought
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Atk / 16 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake- Powerful STAB attack + 252 Atk EV's = X_X (that's supposed to be a "fainted" Pokemon with the eyes being X's and all)
- Dragon Tail- Good phazing move, catches Giratina's wanting to switch in on EQ's
- Stone Edge- Makes good coverage with EQ, makes you think twice about switching into Groudon with flying pokemon.
- Fire Punch- The final move slot is used to take out forrestress' and ferrothorns.

Importance: The weather starter is always important. I just threw on EV's that reminded me of a Swampert set i used. Groudon manages to net a few kills en route to winning the weather war which is helpful. The Lum berry allows Groudon to absorb initial Will-o-wisps and strike back how i see fit.

Latias (F) @ Soul Dew
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 156 HP / 60 SAtk / 80 SDef / 212 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse- Good stab attack that hits reliably. I like.
- Hidden Power [Fire]- Dragon pulse lures out steel types that hidden power fire can take care of.
- Recover- Allows Latias to last annoyingly long for the opponent. Latias is so threatening to almost every team, so keeping her healthy is super nice.
- Roar- If i ever see a substitute up or a calm mind under a pokemon's belt, i use roar. It helps against CM mewtwo for example:

Importance: My Kyogre check for the team: Not many pokes can live two Specs Waterspouts, but with Latias i can take the hit, and use dragon pulse to make the water spout weaker. Latias can wall pretty much everything on the special side that isnt super effective, and depending on the pokemon, wall super effective attacks as well. I'm not sure about the EV's i porbably copied somewhere

Heatran_Sets_Things_on_Fire_by_MichaelBeckett.jpg

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock- They say it is the best move in the game, so i use it.
- Toxic- Sometimes can surprise the enemy, good when the opponent is forced to switch into pokemon such as Kyogre.
- Roar- Good for damaging the team when rocks are up.
- Lava Plume- The extra sun boost is appreciated. It does quite a bit, along with the 30 percent burn. Nothing better than burning SD Arceus'

Importance: Obviously he sets up rocks, but he also can absorb the special attacks latias is weak to like dragon and ice. (Basically Kyurem W). The Lava plume burning can also make the difference in a game. I used heatran in the beginning because i remember playing one and thinking, "Heatran walls a ton of my pokes woah," and it works for me. The EV's are just to make heatran as specially defensive as possible.

tentacruel_tattoo_by_argentine123-d3js20x.png

Tentacruel (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def /
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin- Rapid spin those rocks that annoy ho-oh so much. Also for epic rapid spin kills.
- Toxic Spikes- really good for this team. Since i have no real counter/check to Arceus, toxic spikes and weaken Arceus until my own Arceus could revenge kill it with Espeed. Also they are toxic spikes so it is nice to cripple a ton of pokes.
- Ice Beam- Randomly put it in, haven't really used it.
- Knock Off- How do you know this team was made in 5 minutes? When Tentacruel used magic coat for the majority of the battles, until i switched it for knock off. Still, hasn't been really effective:

Importance: Really needed to spin hazards + lay toxic spikes, and i like the poison typing. Aside from that, i would go as far as say he hinders the team. I could say the EV's are made for Blaziken's and what not, but i just made it defensive because i needed defense.

ho-oh5.png

Ho-Oh @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 228 Atk / 32 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute-Because i like toy that replaces Ho-oh when using substitute
- Recover- Keeps Ho-oh alive, especially if there is rocks down against me.
- Sacred Fire- STAB + SUN = OUCH. Does a ton of damage to anything that doesnt resist it.
- Brave Bird- Ho-oh has super strong STAB attacks with very high attack, brave bird 2HKO's so many pokemon it's a joke:

Importance: Good for poking holes in teams, particularly after i win the weather war. Ho-oh has looked like a boss ever since i played Pokemon Colosseum. His is a boss with the massive special defense and can set up subs really easily and weaken the enemy.

Arceus__the_Creator_Pokemon_by_Xous54.jpg

Arceus @ Silk Scarf
Trait: Multitype
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance- Power over 9000!!!!!!. Swords dance makes arceus with espeed super powerful. I love this set.
- ExtremeSpeed- OP attack is OP, i love this attack. Even before i set up, it allows to me to clean up weakened threats. Then, after a boost, they better hope they have giratina.
- Brick Break-Coverage
- Shadow Claw- Coverage

Final Notes:
- I understand that i have a lot of pokemon with fire type attacks, but it is a sun team, fire attacks do a lot in the sun.
- I don't know how i am doing so well with the team, but obviously a team like this will have problems that better players can help me fix.
- Thanks for reading

Hi there this is a pretty cool team; I used a team similar to this. First off, synergy-wise, I'd recommend taking out fire punch for groudon; it's unnecessary coverage. Teams with forry and ferro will generally not want to face a potential double switch to heatran or hooh, especially one with substitute as that devastates most teams. Speaking of hooh, it is a rather annoying Pokemon to your team, particularly of it has earthquake. The only mon capable of handling it very well is groudon and that will not like taking boosted sacred fires, and if it has earthquake that's gonna hurt a lot since it will likely be offensive. Since you have hazards, especially with toxic spikes, I'd recommend you try running a ghost to spinblock. The easiest change is to have arceus be a bulky ghost with 252 hp and 252 speed. Wow/ judgement/ recover/ focus miss or ice beam generally works well. It helps you handle opposing sd arceus better. Yes, it's a bit vulnerable to darkrai but your groudon has lum and eq will get you to sash. Cm versions are generally handled by hooh and just for hooh, I recommend changing stone edge on groudon to rock slide for better accuracy. As you said, weather starting is important, so fill in the last slot with stealth rock, not only because you can threaten hooh, but also because it frees up a slot on heatran, which is generally for taunt or protect, in which case I'd recommend protect due to the high usage of choicest mons in this meta that want to come in on heatran, ex: Palkia, Kyogre. Taunt also has merits for stopping opposing subroost hooh. As for tentacruel, I'm not sure about knock off ( I also think you want bold, not impish), you may want to try protect over knock off just for the same reasons for heatran, though scald has its merits burning opposing spinners and ferrothorn. Also, that defense evs iirc don't really matter too much as arceus still kills you, you're not doing much back to an opposing groudon with sun, you can't do squat to hooh. Better off investing in special defense to better take Kyogre attacks. That's all I can think of the top of my head without changing the team much; happy uber playing!

Thanks for the rate... I like some of the small moveslot changes, but the change to ghost Arceus doesn't do it for me. Espeed arceus sweeps more than 50% of the time and i don't want to give that up.

If ESpeed sweeps more than half the time, it's no wonder your score is high. Generally we (I) don't get weak players who get swept by just one Arceus. Speaking of Arceus, your set is missing 4 EVs. (And same for Tentacruel.)

Also, Latias is your special wall. However, your Heatran is specially defensive, Tentacruel has a good SDef, and so does Ho-oh, so you don't really need it. I suggest using Palkia over Latias, as Palkia can also counter Kyogre, plus it can revenge kill +1 DDRay and most dragons.

I'll rate it tomorrow, it's late here.

EDIT: (additional stuff)
Since you are using Sub + Recover on Ho-oh, I suggest an EV spread of 248 HP / 176 Atk / 84 SDef.

For Tentacruel, I suggest putting Scald over Knock Off for the burn chance. Since Tentacruel's defence is lousy, invest in SDef like: 252 HP / 32 Def / 224 SDef. This allows you to survive one EQ from Giratina-O while maintaining max. SDef.

You may consider putting 108 Speed EVs on Heatran to outspeed uninvested base 90s, such as Groudon. Also, Air Balloon doesn't see as much use apart from Groudon, so I suggest using Leftovers instead.

Palkia @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Spacial Rend
- Fire Blast
- Surf
- Thunder

Thunder hits Kyogre, which is what you aim to counter. Fire Blast boosted by sun hits harder than Spacial Rend, which is your Dragon STAB. Surf is there since there's nothing worth putting over and it can hit Heatran.

EDIT2: Just noticed Furai's rates. If you really want to get both a spinblocker and Arceus EKiller, Giratina(-O) is worth considering. However, you don't really need a spinblocker or Arceus counter, since Groudon can counter Arceus if physically defensive and you have only rocks to spinblock.

You should try his Groudon's set, I used that (since a long time ago) and it works really well.

Latias @ Soul Dew
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 112 HP / 204 SAtk / 196 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunder
- Recover
- Calm Mind

With 112 HP EVs, it can survive 2 Water Spouts and live to tell the tale, while Kyogre will not, due to Thunder. I know it seems weird using Thunder on a sun team, but its main niche is countering Kyogre. Recover is for healing, and CM when you outspeed Kyogre. The Spd EVs allow it to outspeed Garchomps, as there's barely anything in between 102 and 110 base speed, and anymore investment will only result in a speed tie with opposing Eon Twins.

Very true, but on the other hand, i think i am pretty good at forcing them to pick the wrong move, in order to get a late game sweep with arceus. So i am sure i play some weak players, but i am sure that i swept late game with arceus against goot teams and good opponents.
But I am going to try out palkia :D
