Oh, whats up You? (OU RMT)

This is an older team I made up when I first got into competitive (bout 3 months ago)

Each of these guys were chosen because I pretty much love something each about them. P2 was actually a switch in for Blissey, Ill get into that later. Now, to get in depth.

GYARADOS @ Leftovers
Adamant
Intimidate
156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Waterfall
- Taunt

I love leading this. Even though Gyara has some mediocre speed, when its able to get in the Taunt on spiking/sring leads (sup hippo?), my teams pretty much set to freely switch. If I know I wont be able to get the taunt in however, Ill DD up or switch. It was getting to the point where I found myself going right to Raikou to resist Tbolts and such, which annoyed me. gyarados works excellently with Jolteon, so if a moveset could be recommended ill be greatly appreciated.

I also lol at when Bliss or something of the sort stays in get ready to stat the kraken. Taunt the stat, and after two DD's its 2KO'd by Waterfall (<3). Its also nice to have a DD'd up Gyara on your side too

EQ is here because I prefer it really over Stone Edge and its shaky accuracy. Pretty good coverage, especially when it comes to Scizors buddy Heatranny, so yeah.

Physical Pheer

Dispatch @ Life Orb
Adamant
Technician
32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- X-Scissor
- Superpower
- Swords Dance

Yeah yeah, everyones got a Scizor. Life Orb Standard, pretty fearsome. Only one SD is needed, and anything that doesnt resist steel or outspeed Scizor is pretty much done. Bullet punch priority with all the boosts is falt out scary. Heatrans a problem for me here, so I usually end up bringing back in Gyarados or P2 to counter. Stab X-Scissor rips Celebi, Cress and all that a new one, and Tyranitar doesnt even try to come in. Superpower is when I need that extra bang over Brick break.

448-3.png

LUCARIO @ Life Orb
Adamant
Inner Focus
252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
- Extremespeed
- Crunch
- Close combat
- Swords dance

SD sweeper numero dos. A force to be reckoned with, Luc wields another priority monster that pounds almost everything after an SD. CC is my Stab fighting attack, and because of the better speed than Scizor i can usually leave this guy in on Heatran. Crunch is for coverage and pesky ghosts like Gengar.

CM Comrades

243-3.png

Iuppiter @ Leftovers
Timid
Pressure
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- HP Ice
- Shadow Ball

first of the two special sweepers. I love Raikous ability to outspeed and take hits. I only really need one Calm Mind and I can handle an assortment of pokemon, dragons like Salamence and the all popular Starmie spinner. Again, anything that doesnt resist (Im not seeing any full blown counters besides Bliss, who should be taken out) is going to be dented severly.

JIRACHI @ Leftove
rs
Timid
Serene Grace
252 HP / 80 SpA / 176 Spe
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt

The famous 101 Sub. Pretty Simple, get the sub in on something easily switched in to, which is alot thanks to the nice typing of Jirachi and force the switch out by the enemy. You could also just go for the dual CM's, but I usually feel safer with a Sub up. Once destination is reached, do some damage to the opposition. I like Psychic here mainly because I dont have it anywhere else on the team. Dont get me wrong, Flash Cannon is great, but I like the fact it isnt as predictable. Thunderbolt, strong as ever. This set has given me alot of success, especially with Lefties support for that extra sub or two.

Blissey Replacement Duckie

233-3.png

Prints @ Leftovers
Bold
Trace
252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SpA
- Discharge
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Toxic

Oh man I love this thing. Trace counters heatran, vaporeon, jolteon, all those guys. Stall wars are a breeze with Toxic Support and Recover, while Tbolt and Ice Beam give me coverage. If Heatran is still lurking around Discharge makes for a good parahax to allow Scizor the ability to Superpower it. The fact that duck can recover and get in the same support I got with Stoss Bliss, while not being blocked by ghosts was key to the switch.

Well this is a pretty smogdex oriented team, with a couple of personal touches here or there. Raikou may have a more bulky array of EV's, but Im pretty sure thats the EV Spread for it. Suggestions, advice all welcome.

Why don't you try Choice band Gyarados as a lead? You still get Taunt, more amount of power, more speed without a Dragon Dance, and if you get lucky you could take out your counter with a flinch. 252Atk / 4Def / 252Spe, Jolly, allows you to switch into Stealth Rock five times, be faster than most Zapdos and Rotom-a, and have an attack stat of 523.

My question is as to how does your Gyarados benefit you against the most popular lead of the current metagame, Azelf. You are unable to Taunt it due to your slow speed. While Azelf can SR and then Explode on you.

While three Pokemons in your team are Magnezone weak. Scarf Magnezone can rip your Lucario and Scizor and potentially CM Jirachi. While your team is incredibly weak to Heatran. I suggest replacing either Scizor or Lucario for a Heatran counter. Perhaps, Suicune or Vaporeon would be good for both Heatran and Salamence.

From the looks of it, if your gyarados is taken out early (or at any time), your team has a huge Infernape weakness, Fire Blast takes out Scizor, Lucario, and Jirachi. Not to mention that Porygon won't like a Close Combat. If you're not having any problems with him then whatever works, but if you find Ape crushing your team, you might want to try a sweeper Starmie or Zapdos over Raikou. Starmie beats Infernape any day with Surf, and as long as Ape doesn't have HP Ice, Zapdos can set up on him. This was just a quick rate, I'll be back later with further advice.
