Hello Everyone, well, this is my 5th try making a Pokemon B/W Team, and by far this has been the most successful one yet, it is really strong & bulky ^.^ How did i come up with this team? well, i wanted to make a team based around my favorite pokemon that are: Swampert, Skarmory & Porygon-Z, since Porygon-Z didn't fit in very well with the team, so i might as well go with the next best thing, so i went with Porygon2. Since i'm kinda new to 5th Gen, i did not know about Evolite Stone.. when i found out, i knew this guy was the one i needed. With an pretty good lead and two awesome walls, i needed some sweepers, i have always liked Latios alot so i put him in there! Ever since i saw Haxorus & Chandelure, i thought they looked BADASS. So they fit pretty well within the team.

This team has great type coverage, every pokemon's weakness is covered by the other one, wich is something i had never sucesfully pulled off before... Fighting types that are super effective against Portygon2 are covered my Chandelures immunity to Fighting, altho with Evolite stone, Porygon takes a fighting hit like a champ. Swampert's lone weakness is grass, but it's 4x so a grass move can 1 hit K.O him without a doubt, i do carry the Ice Punch, but if the Pokemon is faster, i need Chandelure or Porygon to take that hit, Skarm's Fire & Electric weakness can be covered by Swampert, Haxorus' Ice weakness can be covered by Swampert and Dragon hits by skarm, especially if its a physical Outrage from Sala or Nite. Chandelure's Water weakness is covered by Swapert and Ghost by Porygon, and as for Latios, same thing as Haxorus.

Team Building Process:
1-As i said before the team started with these three guys:

2-I already had a Physcial Wall, a Lead and a Special Sweeper, so i needed a Special Wall, and what better than a Skarm-Bliss set?

3-Now, time for a Physical Sweeper! T-Tar is pretty cool, and has an amazing Attack, hmm.. lets try him out!

4-I noticed my team laked ALOT of speed, so.. i just had to add something fast in there. I didn't have a special sweeper other than Porygon-Z, So Gengar it is!

5-Blissey was NOT working well with the team, so i wen't off to find another special wall, thats when i found about evolite stone! so i wasen't gonna have 2 Porygon's in there.. so here i did a double switch.

6-The Double ghost thing, wasen't really working out in my favor. I really liked Chandelure, so it was hard decision, but i chose him over Gengar! and added a strong Special Dragon.

7-Tyranitar was way to slow for my likings, i know he is a wonderful Sweeper, but.. i like my speed! i didn't want to try a double dragon at the beginning, but i convinced my self and it worked out wonderfully.

A Closer Look At The Boys:

Swampert.jpg

Olympus
Swampert @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 Hp/ 56 Attack/ 200 Def
Relaxed Nature (+Def/-Spd)
-Stealth Rock
-Scald
-Ice Punch
-Earthquake

This Swampert serves as my lead, gets up steath rocks because nobody usually leads with a Grass type or a Grass move holder, I maxed HP & gave 200 into Def to make him extra Bulky, i didn't really have a good EV set, so i just copied the basic Gliscor one, and what do you know, it worked really well! I carry the Scald, even though Swamperts Special Attack isn't THAT great, i mostly use it to get the burn up. I carry Ice Punch for those annoying Gliscor leads and to take care of your basic dragon types, Swampert has never failed me before. He can be a major threat to the opponents team if they do not have the grass move.

porygon2.png

Joe
Porygon2 @ Evolite Stone
Trait: Trace
Ev:200 Def/ 56 SpA/ 252 SpD
Calm Nature (+Sp.D/-Atk)
-Recover
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Toxic

I just have one word for this guy: Beast. With Evolite stone and the Right EVs/IVs this guy can have up to 475 Sp.D and Around 400 Def. this makes him a freaking unbeatable wall, i do carry Recover, for the lack of leftovers, the obvious Bolt/Beam combo and Toxic to stall out, the biggest threat to my Porygon right now would be Trickers. Since they all want to get rid of my Evolite Stone (Jealous Bastards). Porygon2's main strategy is to Poison stall the annoying walls, and to take Ghost attacks that were ment for Chandelure.

Skarmory.jpg

Fear
Skarmory @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Atk
Impish Nature (+Def/-Sp.A)
-Roost
-Spikes
-Brave Bird
-Whirlwind

Not really much to say about this one, its your basic Scarmory set, this guy is a total beast when it comes to Shuffling (If you don't know what that means, its setting up Spikes and Whirlwinding to get damage on entering Pokemons with the entry hazards). This guy is really helpful, and one of the main reasons i started this team.

Haxorus.jpg

Threat
Haxorus @ Lum Berry
Trait: Rivalry
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4Hp
Adamant Nature (+Atk/-Sp.A)
-Outrage
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Brick Break

Haxorus is pretty much a god, thats all i can say. With 432 Atk and 293 Speed, this guy is one of the best sweepers out there plus what his ability Rivalry adds up to his attack if he faces another male Pokemon, which is very common. Outrage is the STAB move that can do decent damage on pretty much anything that comes in with the Lum Berry it allows me to go for 4-6 Outrages consecutively, if i can get a DD up, it can outspeed almost anything that isn't scarfed/ or has gotten a Agility/DD etc.

Week17Chandelure.png

Poultergeis

Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Sp.A/ 252 Spd/ 4 Hp
Mild Nature (+Sp.A/-Def)
-Heat Wave
-Shadow Ball
-Energy Ball
-Psychic

Chandelure is a pretty awesome Pokemon, with this base 145 Sp.A, makes him the Pokemon with highest special attack in the OU section, his speed isn't that great, thats why i added a Scarf, to surely out speed most pokemons, with a powerful STAB Heat Wave, Chandelure can kick some serious Ass, i chose Heat Wave because Fire Blast hates me, i always miss Fire Blast which sucks really bad, and since overheat drops the Sp.Attack and Chandelure is weak to SR i don't wanna be switching in with him too much.. Shadow ball also provides a great STAB move and Psychic and Energy ball for some type coverage. I usually switch in to Chandelure on a fighting type like Conkeldurr thats threatening my Porygon2, and since they can't do anything to me i can get some decent damage on anything that comes in with Heat Wave.

Latios.png

Zeus
Latios @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
Evs: 252 Sp.A/ 252 Spd/ 4Hp
Modest Nature (+Sp.A/-Atk)
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Trick

This is a pretty common set for a Latios, Draco Meteor to get alot of damage and sweep trough unprepared teams, Surf & Thunderbolt is good for type coverage, and Trick just in case i get tired of Choice Specs i can swich them for some leftovers (If i need HP) etc. This Latios never fails me, he is an awesome sweeper with Draco Meteor, his amazing Sp.A, and his really high speed he's just pro.

I don't really know how this threat list works, so if you guys could help me out, i would apreciate it :)

I'm open for suggestions, i don't know if i'll change any Pokemons, but i'm willing to change the moveset. So.. what did you guys think? :)

OMG i made a team based around a swampert just now its on the thread list XD. I like the way you think about how your strategy is strong and bulky... mine is too lol. Anyways now the similar things about our team are done i can start anlayzing. Sorry i can't help you with the threat list i'm new too:)

It looks like a really good team on chandelure i would replace heat wave with flamethrower. I would change haxorus' ability to mold breaker so EQ can hit levitators (even though rivalry raises attack when facing a male pokemon it also lowers it when facing a female poke). Porygon2 is a beast at walling i hate him so much when im facing him lol. Thats it for me!

You should put soul dew on your latios as it gives the 1.5x boost to special attack and special defence and allows you to still change moves.
IMO using a choice Banded Haxorus would also be beneficial. With a base attack of over 600 nobody will want to switch into an outrage as it solidly OHKO's anything that isn't steel.

@FlyWinged: Dosen't Latios with Soul Dew make him Uber? :O And, ill consider The Band, i just don't wanna have to switch all the time but, thanks for the sugestion :)

@Saxon5: Yea, i really like that stragedy, Swampert is pretty beastly IMO. And i have been having alot of sucess with this team lately :)

@Guitar: I don't think it does. I have used Latios w/Soul Dew on Pokemon Online and it accepts it. but i could be wrong.

I just checked Smogons OU ban list and Soul Dew was not on the list of banned Items. I hope it isn't banned cause I love Soul Dew Latios but in any case I could be wrong

i just checked too and its not banned according to what i read. IMHO I think soul dew latios should be uber because its "broken" its just my opinion

@Kisuke: i know blaziken and garchomp should be banned. i think PO should just adopt smogons tiering it make a whole lot more sense. we should make a thread about comparing which site has better tiering.

Well, i guess i'll keep the Choice Specs, i don't want to give a Band to my Haxorus because then all my sweepers would have to swich out to change attack.

You can't use soul dew on latios. It's unreleased.

I would recommend using using either band or dd+lum haxorus. If you outrage with LO, you do less damage, have less survivability, and are essentially forced to switch after outrage ends anyway. DD gives you +1 spe/atk and lum cures status or the confusion after outrage. Change haxorus's ability to mold breaker

Pory2 would rather have 200 EVs in def than hp to take advantage of eviolite boost.

Chandelure just isn't a very good pokemon. If you're using it for it's fighting immunity, I would suggest using the standard taunt+sd gliscor and replacing skarmory with magnezone to get rid of steels for latios and haxorus.

In addition, Haxorus with a Lum Berry is a excellent counter of Rotom-W.

Swampert is outclassed by Quagsire. Quag takes hits almost aswell, has reliable recovery, and the same typing.
You could still run swampert; he still attacks harder right off the bat. However, if you care for some longevity, go quag.

Yea, i know that in terms of defense Quagsie is better, but i just like my swampert for his hard hits as well STAB EQ is really good, as well as Ice Punch. But thanks for the suggestion.

@Lady_Alex : i Agree with the Haxorous & Porygon2, i'll change those :) But, i don't not agree with Chandelure not being a good pokemon, he's been very useful to me in alot of situations. Also, i don't need Magnezone.. i'd rather have Skarm that serves as a great wall.

I think that Swampert is a better Stealth Rock user.

Btw, if Chandelure fainted you can't do anything against Thundurus.

Ice Beam hits Gliscor harder than Ice Punch, so give it Ice Beam over Ice Punch and move those Attack EVs into Special Defense, which lets Pert take Special hits a little better.

Earthquake is still a 2HKO on Tyranitar and Jirachi without the 56 EVs in attack I think.

Focus Blast, HP ice or T-Bolt, can't do alot to Swampert... & Does it? even with the diffrence of like 85 Base, a special atk still does more?

When it comes to Chandelure, you are wrong. With some good EV investment, Chand becomes something to be majorly feared if you are not prepared for it. I run a set just like guitar's except with modest and it works wonders with no SR. Conkeldurr stands no chance against Chand. Excadrill goes down. Even Skymin gets OHKOed or 2HKOed without a boost. Personally, I love Chandelure, but if anyone were to use it, some major synergy is needed. Thankfully, guitar has great synergy with his team, minus the fact that having 2 dragons is not a good idea.Overall, guitar, you have a nice team. GL!

Thanks Man, i apreciate it! I love Chandelure as well, it works wonders on my team! And i kind-a agree, but if i were to switch one of the dragons.. which one should i? and replace it for what?
