I've done other RMTs on other forums, but I wanted a more critical viewpoint. Also, this is my first post on these here forums, and am looking forward to battling a lot of you.
So, let's get down to the guts of this thread, shall we?
Pauerhaus @ Focus Sash
4 HP / 252 Att / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
Intimidate
Waterfall / Stone Edge / Taunt / Dragon Dance
A suicide lead Gyara. Love this thing, but as it is right now, its EVs are all wrong. It actually has 252 Spe, 128 Att and 128 Def, which NEEDS to be changed. It really doesn't mind lead Tricksters, and all it really needs to worry about is status inflictions, which is why for the longest time I had a Lum Berry on it, but honestly that was a meh item. So I pretty much keep this thing in, usually not switching out, especially not switching out if they have rocks up.
Ragamuffin @ Life Orb
252 Att / 128 Def / 128 Spec Def
Impish Nature
Technician
Swords Dance / Bug Bite / Brick Break / Bullet Punch (SURPRISE)
This thing is AWESOME. I always hear OH SHIT on the other end of the mic when an attack doesn't do as much damage as they thought it would. In my 10 wifi battles, 2 of them have been BP sweeps from this girl. So, yeah, this is pretty unoriginal. Switch in whenever it's safe, and SD on the switch. I usually keep this girl in until she faints, unless I think my opponent REALLY doesn't have anything that can deal with a Scizor, in which case I'll only use it if I have to. I used to have Pursuit instead of Brick Break, but I opted for Brick Break instead, better type coverage, and if they're switching out, I'd rather SD.
Shawty @ Choice Scarf
252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
Levitate
Earthquake / Outrage / Fire Punch / U-Turn
Fucking BEST SCOUT EVER. Giving a Scarf Flygon U-Turn really helps one to see the usefulness of the move. I actually seldom use anything else, but it still is a great set, and this thing can scout so many things before fainting it's SCARY
This is usually the guy I'll go to if I have a faint, unless, and only unless I think they will have a priority move. I hardly ever switch into him if I think he's going to get hit, because Flygons are pretty frail. I try and not use EQ, as it's horribly predictable, and doesn't too much damage anyways. FP almost always never gets used, but neither does EQ, really. I mostly stick to U-turn, and if I'm in the shit I go with Outrage.
Juice @ Leftovers
252 Def / 188 HP / 66 Spec Def
Bold Nature
Water Absorb
Surf / Wish / Roar / Toxic
The lack of a hazer prompted me to go with this set. I actually originally intended it to be a toxic shuffler, but it's one thing to say it, and another to go up against somebody who really knows what they're doing. And that's when I realized how useful this set really is. Roar, in itself is a useful move and is obviously best left to a bulkier poke, like Vaporeon. Wish passing is a hugely valuable asset, and often my entire team falls apart if Vap faints. So, that's why I also have Wish on Umbreon, although wish passing is much more suitable for this guy.
Please @ Choice Specs
252 Spec Att / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Modest Nature
Volt Absorb
Thunderbolt / Shadow Ball / Signal Beam / HP Ice
Hoe ship this thing is sexy
I mean goddamn
OHKOes everything that doesn't have a resist i mean goddamn
So, As long as I don't predict badly, I should get at least one free hit in before switching off, preferably to Vaporeon or Flygon. There honestly isn't too much more to say about this guy, use common sense, don't be stupid, and most importantly, watch out for priority moves.
<3
Definitely my MVP, and the one I go to the greatest lengths to keep alive.
Lustless @ Leftovers
100 HP / 128 Att / 128 Def / 152 Spec Def
Relaxed Nature
Synchronize
Curse / Payback / Protect / Wish
Although I'd prefer Vaporeon as a wall, this thing is more of a "come in late game and try to set up" kind of deal. It doesn't work very often, but it's still more useful as a wall than that. Which is why I'm toying with the idea of changing its EVs around. But even with the slight investment into offensive EVs, it still takes hits pretty nicely.
Works really well in conjunction with Vaporeon, toxic stalling, you know the drill. This is pretty standard of a set, although I don't know about the EVs, I wouldn't think a typical smogon set would have these EVs.
Luckily, this team handles really nicely against entry hazards, as the only dude on my team who gets decently hurt by rocks is Gyara, but even then, he's a suicide lead. Toxic spikes can be a bitch, but it's meh, honestly. Spikes is easily handled on this team, having 2 pokes completely resisting it in the first place.
Along the lines of type weaknesses, I have a decent counter for each and every one. When I usually get trouble is when my Flygon faints, and then I've got a pretty big weakness to Electric, and even though Jolteon has Volt Absorb, it'd be pretty stupid to expect him to be able to stand up to any attacks, now wouldn't it.
Along the lines of what rules I play in:
I usually stick to sleep clause, OHKO move clause, species clause, and hax items and moves clause. Obviously I mainly stick to the OU tier (obviously) and it kind of makes me angry when people don't follow tiers, mainly because I felt like they could've done so much better if they would've. Makes me feel CHEAP.
I have played a few battles with this team. I've played 10 wifi battles in all, which isn't a lot, not at all. But I've won 8 of them. The two I've lost I actually fought with this team when I first completed, and before that with a signature team that didn't follow tiers at all. So really, I've only lost once with this team, out of 7 battles. So, this team has been tested and proven to work.
So that's it. Have fun tearing this team apart.
