Old 4th Gen HO Team Update

Okay, so, I'm pretty new to 5th gen, and don't know all the threats, etc. I'm going to list my old 4th gen team, and if you could let me know of new threats that it would be weak to, that would be great!

Deoxys-S @ Light Clay
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Taunt
- Ice Beam

A lot of people say that the most important pokemon in the team is the lead, and this has definitely been proven to be true. Due to this being a high offense team, a required a fast lead that could set up Stealth Rock, as well as take on other leads to give me an early edge. Later on I started utilizing Dual Screens, which aided greatly, allowing my pokemon to bypass counters. In 4th gen, my go to lead was Azelf, but I'm going to try Deoxys-S on account of The Fourth Chaser.

Scizor@Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP, 240 Attack, 20 Speed
Nature: Adamant
- Bullet Punch
- Quick Attack
- Brick Break
- Swords Dance

Scizor provides Dragon, Ice, Dark, Ghost, as well as many other key resistances that allow him to switch in, notably on Flygon, who is usually quite annoying for this team. Most people don't expect an SD set, and I'll sweep quite often with just him. Bullet Punch is for his main attack, Brick Break is useful against Swampert, Skarmory, Magnezone, among other pokemon. Brick Break + Quick Attack KO's most Heatran as well, even without Stealth Rock, if I can hit it on the switch in. Quick Attack is also helpful against Gyarados. Swords Dance, is of course, to give it potential as a sweeper, and hit harder in general. The 20 EV's in Speed allow me to oustpeed most other Scizor, which while seeming relatively pointless, helps immensely when faced with other Scizor, of course. UPDATE: I'm going to try Roost out over Quick Attack, and see how it works for me.

Tyranitar@Babiri Berry
Ability: Sandstream
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
Nature: Jolly
- Dragon Dance
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch

Tyranitar is yet another of my 5 physical sweepers, hitting hard all around, and able to soak up special hits with ease. This is mostly your standard DDance set, with a few minor adjustments. Fire Punch is for Scizor mostly, but also is useful against Skarmory, as a +1 Fire Punch 2HKOs. Babiri Berry allows me to take on Metagross and Scizor, as well as sometimes making opponents think I'm choiced occasionally.

Lucario@Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
Nature: Jolly
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Stone Edge

Lucario is an excellent sweeper, but you guys already know that. +2 Close Combat OHKOs Skarmory and Swampert, just to give an example of it's power. Extreme Speed is there for faster opponents, as well as giving me useful priority. Lucario's 4x rock resist is always handy, as well as his other useful resists. He won't be coming in on any Outrages smiling though. Stone Edge is for Gyara, and Dragonite mostly. UPDATE: I will be trying out Ice Punch over Stone Edge on account of The Fourth Chaser

Gyarados@Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 Defense
Nature: Jolly
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance

This is yet another physical sweeper, although he's different. Gyarados provides me with an immunity to ground attacks, as well as a resist to fighting, fire, among others. Coupled with Intimidate, it's easy to bring him in on various attacks, Dragon Dance, and sweep. Stone Edge is there for other Gyarados, and other annoying Flying types. My other moves are self explanatory. Jolly nature allows it to speed Base 130's, surprising most Jolteon who come in and expect to KO me, as well as some Starmie.

Dragonite@Leftovers
Ability: Multi Scale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk /252 Spd
Jolly Nature
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Blast
-Roost

I'm giving Multi Scale Dragonite a try, as opposed to my mixed Dragonite from last gen. I originally used DD Salamence before he was moved to Ubers, and am considering either using DD Salamence, or Swords Dance Garchomp. (Maybe Sub Chomp as well.)

Thank you, and please help me out!

First off, please put in sprites. This makes the RMT much easier to read, go back to, etc.
Also, due to your sets not really being in the proper form for the RMT forum, please check out the rules.
Once you do that, many people will see this as a RMT that has had work be put into, and then they possibly will want to rate this more so than before.
Thanks! :)

you said it best yourself, you have 5 physical sweepers and so you leave yourself so volnurable to physical walls like skarmory. add in someone with special moves or you will get nowhere

Use Google Images for Sprites, and Salamence is not Uber anymore so feel free to use him over Dragonite! :)

Also DD Tyranitar isn't very effective because of Scizor being extremely common, because of Mach Punch and Aqua Jet that a lot of people carry to check Excadrill, and also because there are a lot of fast powerful Fighting types (Terrakion) that can boost and destroy Tyranitar and the rest of your team. Tyranitar functions better as a lure imo with moves like Ice Beam, Fire Blast, Superpower/Focus Punch and even Aqua Tail.

A fourth gen HO team needs some updating for BW OU, there are better sweepers and choices for setting up your screens. Azelf was one of the better choices for screens in Gen 4 but Deoxys-Speed forme is OU and is harder to stop,

Deoxys-S @ Light Clay
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Taunt
- Ice Beam

Ice Beam hits Thundurus that might try and use their +1 Taunt, your own Taunt prevents things that might try setting up on Deo-S like Scizor or Volcarona.

On Lucario use Ice Punch instead of Stone Edge because of how common slower Gliscor are. Gyarados isn't so common anymore so Quick Attack isn't as helpful on Scizor, you can try Roost making it easier for you to set up. Your Dragonite set is weird, you can change it to

Dragonite@Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk /252 Spd
Jolly Nature
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Punch
-Roost

Marvel Scale is like a resist berry at 100%, it makes your setting up much easier to do and Roost can help get the ability back. Dragon Claw is chosen over Outrage because in a metagame with Ferrothorn as the number 1 mon being stuck in a Dragon move isn't favorable, speaking of Ferrothorn, Fire Punch was chosen to help with that and Scizor. Earthquake helps with other Steel types like Jirachi and Heatran while hitting common Pokemon like Tyranitar.

Okay, so I'm going to try out your sets The Fourth Chaser, thank you! I'm musing over changing Dragonite into Salemence, Garchomp, or maybe one of the new Dragons introduced. Also, I'm going to use Fire Blast over Fire Punch, as it helps against Skarmory, and will probably deal more damage to the physically defense pokemon.

Next, Tyranitar actually is the first pokemon to take out my opponents Scizor, or Metagross. Babiri Berry allows it to take half damage from the opposing Steel attack, and KO with Fire Punch. (2HKO on Metagross, but T-Tar outspeeds after DD)

To Wraiders11, the point of Hyper Offense is to focus all of your attackers on the same side of the spectrum, eventually overwhelming the opponents defense, and sweeping. I actually haven't had any trouble with Skarmory at all, as most of my pokemons boosted attacks deal at least 50%. Thanks for the tip though!

Also, I am unable to load the sprites onto my RMT for some reason. I've tried several times, I don't know what's going on.
