OLD TEAM SUCKED NEW TEAM BETTER STILL WOULD LIKE SOME OPINIONS

My old team had many holes so instead of trying to fix all the problems with it i scrapped it and decided to create a new one. It has done very well by my standards and is currently 16-2. But a team can allways get better so without further ado...

Taunt
Rock Slide
EarthQuake
Stealth Rock

Very standard suicide lead uses taunt then sets up stealth rock and Quakes or Slides if I can has actually sweeped a whole team before dumb electrode used swagger. XD

Jolteon @ Choice Specs ****Zapster
Timid - Volt Absorb
252 SPA/ 252 SPE/ 4 HP

jolteon.png

Shadow Ball
ThunderBolt
Hidden Power (grass)
Baton Pass (Jolteon cannot learn U-Turn)

Great Synergy with Vaporeon and DA Boss(gyarados) often gets free health. XD Great power to sweep late game and causes people to switch causing them to take SR damage.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers ****Neptune
Bold - Water Absorb
188 HP/ 252 SPD/ 68 SPA

Wish
Surf
Protect
Hidden Power (Fire)

Very good poke!! Counters Heatran with ease. Put all Ev's in SPD instead of DEF because I already have a Defense Gyarodos who is also water so I don't need him to have that. Also helps take T-Bolts better if i get suprised by one. Used to run Toxic instead of HP(fire) but scizor always switch in and set-up against Vaporeon and Toxic was useless and Surf didn't pose a threat so I changed and it OHKO's Scizor 252 HP/ 0 SPD 92% of the time. Guareenteed with SR damage.

Gyarados @ Leftovers ****DA Boss
Impish - Intimidate
252 HP/ 224 DEF/ 32 SPE

gyarados.png

Rest
Sleep Talk
WaterFall
Dragon Dance

Very standard Bulky Gyarados after two DD's it can easily sweep. Also great status absorber. Not much else to say.

Sceptile @ Leftovers
Jolly - Overgrow
56 HP/ 200 DEF/ 252 SPE

sceptile.png

X-Scissor
Substitute
Leech Seed
Swords Dance

Didn't use Leaf Blade because I have no fear of Waters as they are covered by my other Poke's I needed a faster Sub-Seeder than Breloom and Sceptile fit the bill plus he can potently be a late game sweeper with SD and it elminates by Psychic/Ghost weakness.

Infernape @ Life Orb ****King Kong
Modest - Blaze
252 SPA/ 252 SPE/ 4 HP

infernape.png

Nasty Plot
Grass Knot
Vacuum Wave
FlameThrower

Special Sweeper gets a good switch also scares blissey to switch out nasty plots up and the enemy is toast. :toast: Has Excellent Typing. The only priority moves commenly used he resists (Bullet Punch, Ice Shard) Has sweeped whole teams several times. XD

Give me your absolute hardest critism as it can only make me better but back it up with facts not opinions.

Ok Aero is standard.

Jolteon is good, and you should use baton pass as your fourth move. This can act as a pseudo u-turn for scouting. You won't be using it too often, but jolteon's movepool is crap, so meh.

I like the idea of hp fire on vaporeon, how has that been working? If it starts to work less efficiantly, try ice beam or hp electric, because with ice beam, it counters dragons and with hp electric, it destroyes gyarados being immune to it's STAB waterfall.

Gyara is also standard and works very well with jolteon. I would stick with water fall though, because non-STAB outrage is not very good, and waterfall is a solid stab with few resists.

Breloom should be the standard subpunchseedspore set. That set seems to be a mix of 3 different sets and it kills the purpose of all three. Stick with one set, as it is effective in and of itself.

Finally change infernape to mixape with grass knot, close combat, fire blast/flamethrower and hp ice/nasty plot with 24 atk 232 spd 252 sp. atk. This is more a more effective wall breaker than your current set, as mixnape is not really supposed to sweep, rather break down walls and kill things that are slower than it to pave the way for another sweeper to sweep.

Thanks for the pm and good luck with the team.

For your last move on Jolteon, Baton Pass is a good option. While it may seem counterintuitive to have a move like it on a Choice Pokemon, it helps Jolteon scout the opponent's team; most times a counter will switch directly into Jolteon, so you can Baton Pass on the switch and go to a more appropriate Pokemon. Also, definitely use a Speed-boosting nature on Infernape, which is the difference between losing to and outrunning an enormous sector of Pokemon, including very important ones like Zapdos and Jirachi.

You don't really need Hidden Power Fire on Vaporeon; Gyarados can deal with Scizor pretty well, and Vaporeon, Infernape, and Jolteon all stand a chance if necessary. You have weaknesses to Salamence, Gyarados, and Flygon, so either Ice Beam for the Dragons or Hidden Power Electric for Gyarados are good choices. Also, not putting any Defense on Vaporeon is a very bad idea. It counters Heatran and Infernape anyways and is bad against most other special attackers even with maximum Special Defense, but it needs a lot of Defense to effectively counter the 3 Pokemon I mentioned.

Really, this team lacks defensive power and some key resistances, such as Dragon and Rock (Breloom is quite frail). There's a lot of ways you can go about adding more defensive power, so I can't detail anything specific.

After looking over your team I can say that is is fairly solid, though even the best teams can be improved. The first thing I noticed when looking at this team is the damage out put on the physical side is somewhat lacking, this can be improved by switch Gyarados into the normal sweeper Dos. This will help you counter things like Zapdos who you don't really have a counter for besides Jolteon absorbing Thunderbolts after a Dragon Dance Gyarados will OHKO a Zapdos with Stone Edge and all that jazz

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Adamant Nature
252 Atk 252 Spe 6 HP
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake

This will help the physical damage out put on your team quite a bit.

With Jolteon make the fourth move Baton Pass so you can scout counters

You still lack a solid wall breaker, Infernape is without a doubt the best wall breaker in the game (well maybe not Crush-King). He can OHKO to 2HKO most walls with his boosted moves and is insanely fast to boot!

Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive Nature
24 Atk 252 SpAtk 232 Spe
- Nasty Plot
- Grass Knot
- Fire Blast
- Close Combat

Most steels will be OHKO'd after a nasty plot Fire Blast comes their way, and Grass knot is to handle Ground and Water types. With the given EV's Infernape should OHKO a normal Blissey, which is a godsend for this team

Stay in school,
Empoleon
