Rules and Useful Information

It is recommended to play all games on SmogTours in the most current version of the format corresponding to those listed above. Games can be played on the Pokemon Showdown main server, but run higher risk of interference from server restarts/crashes.​

Scheduling

Scheduling should be done on Smogon Profile walls, plain and simple:​

- If there is communication on only one user's behalf, the win will go to them. Feel free to call activity in this thread beforehand​

- If there is a very healthy back and forth regarding potential times and one user is a no-show, a manager may take the opportunity to sub out the no-show competitor; if this is not done, the user that showed up responsibly will be awarded the win.​

TL;DR: Post on your opponent's Smogon wall, schedule your matches, and be reliable. If you can't play for any reason, let your manager know so they can sub you out ASAP.​

Sportsmanship

Exhibitions of unsportsmanlike conduct with regards to the Other Metagame Premier League will be met with an infraction at the discretion of the OMPL host/OM mods. This is unlikely to include interactions within a team's private chat unless there is reason found to make an exception. This rule is meant to protect other users from being publicly flamed/bashed/provoked by another competitor for the duration of and following the tournament.​

All players must complete their matches by the given deadline. Any incomplete matches by that time will be subject to an activity decision (MAKE SURE YOU POST ON YOUR OPPONENT'S WALL); otherwise, it will be a deadgame. All matches should ideally be done on your most notable alt to avoid confusion and all match replays must be saved and posted in this thread.​

Substitutions & Lineups

Managers, if you wish to make any substitutions, you must post here tagging both the player you're subbing out, the player you're subbing in, the manager and assistant manager of the opposing team, the substitute's opponent, and all of the hosts. This is to assure that everyone is in-the-loop and that the OP is updated accordingly to reflect the new match-up.​

on a real note this is mathematically a very close ompl, so these last two weeks are going to be pivotal and very fun to watch

AAA: shiloh vs Kinetic - kinetic is one of 2 people left with a perfect record i don't think that changes here
AAA: matte vs Mada - matte has been unlucky not to net a win so far this tournament, but the only way i see them doing so here is with better metagame knowledge, which to be fair is not unreasonable to expect
BH: Quinn vs The Guy Who Has Many Alts - if hallward brings a reasonable team he wins.
STAB: Fusien vs seth - PRC? in 2025?
MnM: Pomellow vs zastra - my hot take last week was correct. here's a cooler take :)
GG: pannu vs LBN - pannu is favoured for obvious reasons but lbn is a good clicker so a decent matchup can easily turn into a win
PiC: NovaFish21 vs yuki - running it back from ssnl finals. both players have had somewhat decent seasons but they'll be looking to turn it up going into the final weeks, and i think this makes this one an interesting watch
Bo3: fififlutters vs TTTech - if we're going on statistics alone, it's fiora, who has played extremely well to get to 4-1. g1 gg is a toss up, i think tech wins bh, and mnm is another tossup. this is another one to watch

AAA: Atha vs Glory - unfortunately i have to back a french player :vomit:
AAA: Irene vs feen - feen has had a good season so far. i would have liked to see baddy in this slot again but irene is definitely a great player as well, so we'll see a tight game
BH: Akira vs willdbeast - streets will never forget wrong team into pikachu sweep
STAB: One Last Kiss vs Time2Bonk - OLK has been fantastic in stab while the ponyta's haven't really got their stab slot off the ground. it's nice to see bonk back in play though and i am rooting for him
MnM: Career Ended vs db - maybe i'm burning the kitchen with this one but DB MENTALITY
GG: Starshine. vs Lily - starshine could do it? but i would feel insane for bolding against lily so
PiC: RL vs Chromate - the other 5-0 player left in the pool, that definitely doesn't change here.
Bo3: QT vs violet river - this feels suspiciously like a sacrifice. i think qt always wins bh and mnm and probably gg as well.

AAA: Stareal vs O1V7O2X9O - think o1 wins these
AAA: ghostlike vs MZ - MZ is on the dialgas?????
BH: Ivar57 vs XxLazzerpenguinxX - sevagg hasn't had a great tournament unfortunately, don't think that changes into ivar
STAB: avarice vs word - this is the ho tier, and word is the most creative ho builder. oh my word that gives them an advantage, don't you think?
MnM: hayedenn vs PociekMociek - this is a highlight matchup for me, both are incredibly good players but i'll give haydenn the edge based on how well they've been playing this tour
GG: entrocefalo vs Nashrock - on records alone, it's entro, who also has a very impressive win against pannu. nashrock definitely can do it but he needs to get cooking in the kitchen
PiC: Frixel vs DeepFriedMagikarp - dfm has been on a tear this tour. if they keep their head they definitely have it in them to beat frixel. frixel is also having a good tour so this will be another v close watch
Bo3: SammyCe123 vs Clas - i do think this will be an interesting watch but sammy is always favoured

AAA: Lana vs Iride - this match is probably going to be won in builder
AAA: Tbp24 vs Maybca☆〜ゝ。∂ - tbp is the more creative builder and the better player
BH: quojova vs cityscapes - very close bh matchup. i think cityscapes probably wins, but no doubt quo will make it close
STAB: Kaif vs Taka - honestly idk this could go either way but taka hasn't touched stab yet and that automatically makes him less favoured because the tier is
MnM: TectonicDestroyer vs RoFnA - unfortunately i have to bold for rofnerd
GG: Fraise vs Fc - fraise is on a roll but so is Fc, this could go either way but i'll back Fc for now
PiC: zoe vs HiZo - this is probably the flip match of the set. i want to back zoe, but it heavily depends on how motivated she is when it comes to game day. i'm not the best pic player but lvl1 klawf doesn't scream interest in the tour
Bo3: Icemaster vs damflame 3 - icemaster probably has this

Hallward is good at prepping for people, but Quinn's pretty hard to prep for since they don't have much of a backlog of games to study and cotta teams are pretty varied.
BH: Ivar57 (65) vs XxLazzerpenguinxX (35)
Ivar is cracked and won't lose.
BH: quojova (60) vs cityscapes (40)
I've decided I'm a quojova believer tbh. Probably the best BH match in the tour though and can clearly go either way.

Bo3: fififlutters (55) vs TTTech (45)
Fiora's BH has been pretty weak so far but so has TTTech's to be honest. I think Tech has worse support though since while Wheaty and Hallward can build good teams they're totally incompatible with Tech's playstyle.
Bo3: SammyCe123 (49) vs Clas (51)
I would have bolded Sammy but I don't like their recent BH builds while Clas could certainly pull off something neat.
Bo3: Icemaster (40) vs damflame 3 (60)
This one's gonna be pretty variable but I think damflame has better bh fundamentals while the prep matchup is pretty much even. Ice could definitely impress though.

Overall the bh matchups this week are higher quality than last week, very excited to see them.
