Once Upon a Time...

Not too long ago, I found myself browsing the D/P Analysis thread, looking for a good moveset for Slaking, as I was trying to decide whether to include one on one of my teams or not. I noticed that there was only one moveset and that it was (suprise) a physical set. The team I was making really needed a special attacker, as all of members were either physical attackers, supporters, or walls. I went over to serebii's pokedex and took a look at Slaking's base special attack, thinking, maybe it'll be decent enough to have a primarily special moveset. Well, as it turns out, the king of slack has 95 base spatk, which was much better than I had expected. So, I figured, "what the heck", and took at look at his special movepool. And it wasn't bad. In fact, it was pretty good. So I decided to give the first Specs King that I had ever heard of a try. Here's what I came up with:

Slaking @ Choice Specs
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam
Flamethrower
Shadow Ball

Ahh, the deadly BoltBeam combo. Flamethrower for steels and shadow ball for Gengar (who my team has trouble with). This may seem like a gimick, but when this guy comes out, you're opponent will likely send out a physical wall, as they're probly going to assume (with good reason) that Slaking's a strong phyiscal attacker. They probably even plan on protecting whenever he tries to attack and/or heal in between attacks. Problem is, that physical wall probably won't live through one of Slaking's attacks. Skarm, who normally walls Slaking pretty well, just can't stand up to this set. And the thing is, they'll probably never see it comming.
The idea behind all of this was that I was trying to figure out a poke who you could trick someone into sending out the wrong type of wall against.
So, what do you all think? It's my first real post, so if there's any problems with it, please let me know. Suggestions, thoughts, and general comments are always appreciated.

The only reason this would work is the surprise factor.

And even than, you're wasting Slaking's Potential. With Traunt, he needs to cause as much damage as possible to make up for the one turn wait, and he can do that Physically. Not so much special.

This is a good example of a 'bad gimmick'.

Slaking can kind of cope with the fact it has Traunt enough to be usable in OU because of it's monster base 160 attack allowing to OHKO or do substantial damage to so many pokemon, I can pretty much guarantee if it was base 95 like it's SpAtk it would be used even less than Regigas.

Honestly, 95 Base SpA is usable on a normal special pokemon(and its below what is desirable even then), but thanks to Traunt and a lack of a real STAB attack Slaking shouldn't even be thinking about it.
