One of my NB Supremacy Teams (OU)

Here's one of the teams I use on Netbattle Supremacy. It has some problems, but hopefully u can help me nut them out :)

Yanmega (M) @ Focus Sash ** MegaYanma
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Air Slash
- Bug Buzz
- Hypnosis
- Protect

He's great because he's UU, so most people have disregarded him when choosing their lead. Simple strategy: Protect to gain +1 Speed and dodge Fake Out, then Hypnosis something, and use Bug Buzz and Air Slash until you're taken down. We've all heard it before. Focus Sash is there to ensure he stays in play longer (assuming Sandstorm or Hail isn't up).

Tentacruel (M) @ Black Sludge ** Dirty Play
Trait: Liquid Ooze
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 16 Spd / 176 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic Spikes

Standard Tentacruel with Ice Beam instead of Surf. Knock Off is to help me in stall battles, as is Toxic Spikes (its very useful against Celebi, especially late game). Rapid Spin is a given. Ice Beam is used instead of Surf to deal with 'Seed Bombless' Breloom after he has put my Sleep Talk Zapdos to sleep. 16 Speed EVs are used to outspeed Adamant Breloom. Ice Beam is also useful to hit Salamence and Dragonite on the switch expecting a Not Very Effective Surf. All in all, pretty standard.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers ** Joy's Assistant
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def / 80 SAtk / 176 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Protect
- Seismic Toss
- Wish

Again, standard Wishbliss. I couldn't afford the luxury of a status attack (Toxic or Thunder Wave) as I need Seismic Toss for Calm Minders like Raikou, and Ice Beam for Gengar and the monstrously powerful Salamence. Generally, I send Blissey into Salamence, as she counters most variants (Mixmence, Specsmence), however it's all a guessing game as the Dragon Dance set ruins her.

Zapdos @ Leftovers ** High Voltage
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 16 Spd / 20 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Roost
- Sleep Talk
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic

Standard Zapdos, with 16 Speed EVs to outspeed Breloom. Toxic has been great in stall battles and against other Zapdos. I don't need to explain this set, we've all seen it. He counters Scizor for me blah blah blah.

Rhyperior (M) @ Leftovers ** The Rock
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 244 HP / 184 Def / 80 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Megahorn
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge

Defensive Rhyperior. Solid Rock is great when paired with his 432 HP and 376 Defense stat. A 316 atk stat is also nice as well. I use Stealth Rock as soon as I'm given the chance (which isn't too hard as Rhyperior can cause switches easily). I've used Megahorn to try and catch Celebi on the switch, as well as Bronzong.

Lucario (M) @ Life Orb ** Chuck Norris
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Extremespeed
- Swords Dance

The classic late game sweeper. Swords Dance + Crunch/Close Combat/Extremespeed. Enough said. Extremespeed is useful to clean up late game, and to revenge kill early game.

So there you have it. There are 2 major problems with this team:
1) A lot of Pokemon in my team mind Trick, however in all fairness Tentacruel is holding Black Sludge, so this is solved with prediction. On the other hand, Tentacruel will hate a Choice Scarf/Specs/Band.
2) Some defensive teams used to be able to stall me out, and this is why I replaced Surf for Knock Off on Tentacruel, and Heat Wave for Toxic on Zapdos. The fact that I don't have a ghost type pokemon means it's that much harder to stall, seeing as I have nothing to block Rapid Spin.

Please rate my team, also please suggest improvements. Thnx :)

Hello!

Your team doesn't have a common goal. Your Rhyperior / Blissey / Tentacruel / Zapdos are very stall-based, whereas your Yanmega and Lucario are sweepers. Additionally, if Yanmega goes down, which is probably easy considering it will take damage from enemy leads, your team has a serious Gengar problem. Gengar easily manages a 2-3HKO on any of your Pokemon, while they cannot do much thanks to Substitute. Blissey CAN work in theory, but in practice it will just get weakened with Focus Blast, then destroyed with Explosion. Additionally, as Lucario does not have Bullet Punch, it will cause serious problems switching in on either Close Combat or ExtremeSpeed and then OHKOing with Focus Blast.

For this reason, I recommend using Zapdos as a specially defensive version. It still soaks up most hits well, and with enough SpD EVs it can knock a 3HKO into a 4HKO all the while destroying Gengar with Thunderbolt.

Thnx for the advice :D

You said that my team 'doesn't have a common goal'. It does have a common goal, and that is to hold a defensive base, while wearing down foes with Zapdos, Tentacruel, Blissey and Rhyperior. Yanmega is used as my lead to start off the battle nicely, while Lucario is there for the late gaming.
So having said that, the goal of the team is to first hold a defensive base, countering major offensive threats such as Scizor, while at the same time wearing down the opposiong team gradually (by means of general damage, Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Knock Off etc...). Lucario then revenge kills and attempts the late game sweep at the end of the match.

And yes, you're right - Blissey can easily be dispatched of by Gengar's Explosion. But the battle between Gengar and Blissey is only won by prediction. Predicting when to break subs with Ice Beam, and when to dodge Explosion with Protect. Calm Blissey can soak up Focus Blasts very well (disregarding special defense drops), and let's not forget Focus Blast's 70% accuracy.

I know that the team has a Gengar problem. However, most teams have lots of trouble dealing with Gengar. Gengar is just a good pokemon.

Thnx for the advice, anyway.
