Operation Desert Storm [OU Wifi Sandstorm-ish]

~Operation Desert Storm~

So i decided to make myself a [OU WiFi] Sandstorm-ish Team, the first thing i thought about was Coverage.
I really wantet to increase my coverage against most of OU's Common threats like Zapdos.
i worked a lot with the coverage and it looks just like this, having this much 50x resist and immunities makes it quite easy to move around :)
i have a weakness to Ice, i know that, but i somewhat always manage to get down the treats like mamoswine with my dusknoir. and abomasnows with Tyranitard(yes, tard) Mamoswine likes this team once dusk is dead though.

This is the team that i ended up with:

tyranitar.gif
Rhyperior.gif
celebi.gif
134.gif
477.gif

Here are the movesets :3

Untitled-1-2.jpg

Bronzong[Sassy] *Levitate*
@Leftovers
252HP 152def 106sp.def
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Explosion
Stealth Rock

I don't really know where the face is on this pokemon if its a floating teddybear-ish thing, or if its an even weirder thing with red eyes down in its pubic area but i decided to like this pokemon because of its stats and ist movepool, it fits pretty good in my team actually. it's still better than metagross because of the fact that metagross hates ground moves and most lucario's carry Earthquake.
also, bronong is levitating so he is immune, that means he will close combat and let me EQ if i'm at full health.
Stealth Rock and sandstorm combination is an awesome stalling combination. if only bronzong could use Roar effectively.

Tyranitar.png

Tyranitar [Adamant] *Sand Stream*
@Choice Band
166HP/252Atk/92speed
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake
~Aqua Tail
~Pursuit

Band Tyranitar is the sexiest Rock type on earth, as well as dark type. and its got an awesome ability you just have to take advantage of.
this here will be the one opening the sandstorm. He laughs at Zapdos bigtime as he fires off STAB Stone Edge.

Rhyperior.gif

Rhyperior [Adamant] *Solid Rock*
@Leftovers
132Hp/192Attack/ 168Sp.Def
~Substitute
~Swords Dance
~Stone Edge
~Earthquake

This is my team's Bulky sweeper, it can somewhat be a wall as well, Once sandstorm is up this thing here is a beast. getting arounf 300.so.def and its already got 404Hp is quite sturdy.
if the opponent send out something like a forretress its easy to set up, sub and swirds dance till you feel like EQ'ing and SE'ing

celebi.jpg

Celebi [Modest] *Natural Cure*
@Life Orb
232Hp/78Def/200sp.atk
~Thunder Wave
~Recover
~Leaf Storm
~Psychic

Tinkerbell Celebi :D
It deals out paralysis to support itself, Rhyperior and heals afterwards if it can. it murders bulky waters cold-bloody with Leaf Storm, it works absolutely perfect.
having U-Turn might be an idea to not get pwned by pursuiting sciz0rz . i dont know.

134_400.jpg

Vaporeon [Bold Nature] *Water Absorb*
@Leftovers
252Hp/252defense/4speed
Wish
Protect
Surf
Ice Beam

Special defense Wall, Wish supporter, Staller AND Scouter :D
Forretress needs the wish to hold on a bit longer. Tyranitar is bulky and also wants to live longer, as well as vappy likes to keep its HP up and stand a chance against Gengar. etc
im having problems eith chising the last attack. because if i switch after a wish the guy i switch in will have to take an attack first. thats risky in my opinion so i might want to have baton pass since that means i'll fist lose HP and then i can help a team-mate. Ice beam instead if it looks like i would have problems with killing Salamence.

Dusknoir.png

Dusknoir [Careful] *Pressure*
@Lefties(/Lum Berry?)
252 HP / 28 Atk / 228 Sp.Def

~Will-o-Wisp
~Pain Split
~Fire Punch
~Earthquake

Yaaaay sp.Def Dusknoir :D
guess who counters heatrans that switch in on me.
Fire punch is mainly for the bronzongs and pokemon that resist or are immune to EQ.
i tend to send him in on something that lets me use fire punch and keep EQ as a surprising move.
Will-o-wisp is for burning things.
i like to burn things<3
especially weaker walls that use physical moves.
yet again bronzong is an example of that.
burning him lets me set up Rhyperior with ease.

What i need help with:
Well as you see, i need to find all my weaknesses, currently i see that crunching luke really bullies my Celebi, dusknoir, bronzong, rhyperior and Tyranitar.
Scizor can do something here, but as long as i have dusknoir i am quite safe with Will-O-Wisp and fire punch.

Ludicolo, does things i dont like to me when it's raining since its got a nice type combo of grass AND water. like wtf?
last time i met one of those i was lucky to have my Zong out from the beginning letting me use explosion

Can Celebi safely get switched out with Zapdos and still cover all that's needed?
Machamp for example?

Hi. My immediate concern here is stall teams. I know you probably won't be seeing too many of them on wifi, but should one pop up, you've pretty much lost. The same thing applies to pretty much any well made bulky offense team. Pretty much any team that's capable of dealing with Rhyperior is going to beat you, as the only other offense you have is Tyranitar, who gets walled by the exact same pokemon.

First things first, your Bronzong description is a bit misinformed. No worthwhile opponent is going to be using Earthquake on Lucario, seeing as it has more or less identical coverage to Close Combat, which is 80% stronger, not to mention that Lucario leads are incredibly rare anyway (I can't speak for the wifi metagame, but I really wouldn't worry about Earthquake Lucario leads too much).
Currently, you're going to really struggle with Life Orb Gengar, any form of Salamence, Swords Dance Lucario and Dragon Dance Tyranitar to name a few of the main problems. Replacing your Bronzong with the following Jirachi set would fix up most of that nicely:

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Jolly
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
U-turn
Iron Head
Stealth Rock
Trick

Scarf Jirachi allows you to outspeed and either OHKO or have a 60% chance of 2HKOing due to a flinch against all of those pokemon. TrickScarf means that you have another weapon to use against stall, and U-turn is always useful for scouting out teams and building up some residual damage.
If you decide not to include a Lucario counter somewhere else in the team, then going with Fire Punch over U-turn or Trick would be a good idea so that you can do 70% or so to Lucario, or OHKO after it's used Close Combat.
Jirachi admittedly isn't as sturdy as Bronzong is, but it should be good enough as long as you use it well, and it's the best way to fit both a SR lead and a check to all of those threats into the team.

Celebi is always a useful pokemon to have, especially due to the paralysis support it provides, but it's not going to be too useful for much apart from that here. Vaporeon and Celebi fill very similar roles, and Vaporeon is probably going to be the more useful member of the team here.
Instead of Celebi, you're going to want something that can deal with bulky waters as well as another way of breaking stall. Mixed Salamence with Fire Blast/Draco Meteor/Brick Break/Roost would be a good option, giving you a pretty good switch into fighting attacks due to Intimidate, as well as being able to switch into the Surfs that your team attracts and threaten with Draco Meteor against bulky waters, although you'll have to watch out for Ice Beam.
The main thing to watch out for when replacing Celebi is Calm Mind Suicune, which can easily set up on your team, and will be more or less unbeatable once it gets a couple of CMs if you use a MixMence, as it can stall Vaporeon out of PP easily if necesarry.

Vaporeon should be using HP Electric to counter Gyarados, especially if you replace Celebi, who can deal with Gyarados (as long as it doesn't have Bounce) decently.

Edit: As Haunter said, ScarfTran would be a good replacement for Dusknoir, as it covers quite a few of your weaknesses nicely and gives you some much needed speed.

These changes aren't really going to make your team perfect, but they're a decent start. I'll take another look if you make some updates to the team. Good luck.

Hi,

as you already realized, this team is extremely weak to SD Lucario, after a SD the standard Luke can 6-0 you, and a CB TTar locked into pursuit or even crunch or stone edge offers him plenty of opportunities to set up. My suggestion here would be to replace Celebi with a standard Zapdos:

Zapdos@leftovers
nature: bold
EVs: 248 HP / 228 Def / 32 Spe
-thunderbolt
-roost
-heat wave
-hidden power [grass] / roar

hp grass would be the best option, but since this is for WiFi, roar may work too (assuming you don't have acccess to a good hp grass Zapdos). With such a defensive EV spread Zapdos will always survive a +2 ES or crunch from Lucario, even after stealth rock damage, and ko back with heat wave. Zapdos also counters bulky waters as well as Celebi does.

Another evident weakness of this team is Gyarados, especially if it caarries bounce to deal with Celebi: Vaporeon needs hidden power [electric] to counter it effectively, otherwise Gyara will simply set up on it and then sweep your team. Definitely try to get a hp electric Evee or else consider roar over ice beam, so you'll, at least, counter taunt less Gyara.

On TTar 80 Spe EVs are enough to outspeed most Skarmory and 2hko them with stone edge, put the spare EVs into HP to increase durability. Also, definitely use crunch over earthquake: without crunch you'll be completely stopped by Swampert and aqua tail already gives good type coverage along with dark and rock.

Honestly I don't like Dusknoir on this team: you don't need a spin blocker and it seems like a dead weight for this team. I'd suggest to drop it for a choice scarf Heatran:

Heatran@choice scarf
nature: naive
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-fire blast
-earth power
-hidden power [ice] / dragon pulse
-explosion

this team is extremely slow, and scarf-Tran would fit nicely into it providing some speed and an excellent revenge killer. Again hp ice is the preferred option, but dragon pulse can work too. Heatran will allow you to, at least, revenge kill outraging dragons and would provide an extra check for SD Luke.

Hope this helps.

GL!
