Hey guys! With Sun and Moon coming up soon, I wanted to start a new series on my YouTube channel based around team building. Now, Im far from being a highly competitive player, only getting into competitive battling with this recent gen, but I know that when I was learning, I would have loved some videos that explained how to use certain pokemon and how to fit them into a team. While there were a few out there that I found, many of them spoke to me like I already knew the current Meta, and essentially didn't walk me through it enough to really understand what I was supposed to do with each pokemon (yeah, I know, learn for yourself).
With this next generation looking to have a huge shift in the meta, things are only going to get more complicated for new players to jump in, so I wanted to start an ongoing series where each episode takes a look at either a full team build, or just a specific pokemon and how it fits into each meta. But the big draw to the series would be that it will be simple enough that new players just coming in would be able to follow along and play.
So I bring this up because around Halloween, I made my first video. The team isn't anything special, and honestly isn't going to make a splash in any meta, but it was a themed team for the holiday and it felt like a good starting point. I wanted to come here, Smogon, heart of competitive Pokemon battling, and present it to you guys for critique. If anyone would understand the audience I am trying to reach, it would be this site.
So essentially what I was wanting to know is how people feel the video plays out. Is it too long, does it drag too much, interesting enough to sit through, etc. Im hoping to get things in shape in time for the new games so that I can get right into it when they come out.
