Option for letting other users edit ones posts

There should be a way to make a post that another non-moderator could edit. In the advanced options for posting, there should be a field similar to the recipient field for PMs, a field in which one could enter the name of another user to give that user editing privledges. This would be useful for collaborative C&C projects. It would also let cohosts of mafia games edit player lists, making it much easier to keep player lists up to date.

That sounds like a complicated forum alteration with very little payoff. I'd recommend linking to a Google Doc unless I am proven otherwise.

Would be handy for a fair few things in C&C (especially if you could add all badgeholders in one go), and I bet wifiers would love it for joint trade threads as well as cohosting mafia like the OP mentioned.. if there is a plugin which does this it may be worth adding. If not then it's probably more work than it's worth.

I agree with Firestorm. There are really two or three things I could ever see this used for (I wouldn't want badgeholders to be able to edit any thread in C&C; I don't think that's how the forum should operate), and they're all basically either Mafia threads or Wi-Fi trade threads.

Google Documents is pretty great!

Google docs is cool, but it is nice to be able to do all the work on one site. Helps keep current work easily accessible for comment, and I do prefer simple text editing like Smogon provides to the slightly laggy and more complex google docs. I was not suggesting letting badgeholders edit every thread, just that it could save time setting up access lists for a few collaborative projects since badgeholders tend not to try editing projects they are not involved with.

I actually sort of like this idea for c&c, stuff like reservation threads can be hard to keep up to date, and I always have to bug a mod or the OP to update them (lol). This isn't that important though, and I wouldn't mind if it was rejected on the basis of too much work required.
