General Tournament Rules

ORASLT Rules
  1. This is a standard ORAS OU tournament
  2. This will be single elimination, best of three, top 16 playoffs
    • It is going to be a Top 16 Single Elimination Best of Three. You may switch teams in between battles of the same set.
    • Matches are to be played on Pokemon Showdown!. Smogtours is mandatory for the entirety of playoffs.
    • Replays are required for all matches.
    • Activity calls will be made by the Hosts not playing in Playoffs or Tournament Director. Coin flips will be done publicly on PS.
    • Do not cheat. Cheating will result in a disqualification. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary. Cheating includes, but is not limited to:
      • Asking your opponent to forfeit on the ladder
      • Ghosting or being ghosted by another player (e.g. while playing a set, asking for advice about what plays to make)
      • Manipulating match outcomes (e.g. throwing a match in exchange for Prize Share)f
    • Do not harass or insult your opponents. The Hosts reserve the right to disqualify anyone breaking this rule. Additional punishments may be applied as necessary

NoName6293 vs Legitly - (75/25)
I’d be surprised if this matchup had a different outcome, NoName is one of the favorites in this tournament and I don’t believe in the upset in this one.

Breezy vs Always! (35/65)
Always is one of the most active people in this and I think this experience and knowledge will pay off here. Obviously he’s also a great player so I‘m bolding him.

Sergio Aguero vs c0mp (40/60)
c0mp in ORAS is good but not on the same level as his SM. I feel like there’s more upset potential than in some other matchups in this bracket.

Fardin vs Persephone (40/60)
I‘d have given a bigger edge to Persephone if Fardin didn’t qual last cycle seemingly out of nowhere with very good stats. Should be a hype matchup, but I believe Pers will come out on top. He’s got the tier knowledge and the gameplay to back it up.

Paprikaflow vs typical_bastard (65/35)
I respect tb‘s evolution as a player but I feel he’s not as consistent as paprika and in a bo3 setting consistency is more impactful. Anything can happen tho, as both are good players.

kingofking vs awyp (55/45)
awyp went on a good run to make it in, that was pretty epic. If he can take this ladder run into the bo3 it should be a very close one. Even assuming he does that, I still give a slight edge to kingofking but either outcome wouldn’t be surprising here.

lighthouses vs Savouras (70/30)
Iirc last time this matchup happened Savouras won with luck. I think lighthouses is better so I’ll say it won’t happen again.

chansey and lulu vs egalvanc (40/60)
I don’t really know much about chansey and lulu ORAS so either I’m uninformed or there is a lack of experience which can make it hard to manage a player like egalvanc. He can also very well just sabotage himself with the team he loads tho, so it’s not as clear.
