Similar to the ORAS OU Discussion thread in the ORAS Forum, this thread will be open to all for a more general discussion of the ORAS Ubers format. Feel free to use this thread to discuss various topics related to ORAS Ubers including but not limited to metagame discussion, discussion regarding current tournaments, team dumps, personal VRs, etc. The OP will be updated with additional resources, information as time goes on where needed.

To start off the thread Ruins of Alph spotlight tour includes a month long swiss tour found below.

ORAS Ubers Spotlight Tour

Sign ups for the Ubers Winter Tour when they go up will include two ORAS slots in addition to an old gens Bo3 which includes ORAS. Manager sign ups are under way below, with player sign ups likely to go up later tonight or tomorrow.

Explanation/Generic Thoughts

There is likely stuff missing (Helmet Chomp maybe in C+, M-Glalie for webs, M-Lopunny etc.) but for the most part this is where I would place things I see right now loosely. I removed the S+ subdivison because I'm not a believer of S rank divisions and got rid of the ranks below C+, too much garbage like Flygon in the original VR or things I would not rate at all. In ORAS most structures you'll want to fill with the A ranks and utilize the Bs either as part of a specific structure (Deo-S, Exca, Cloy offenses) or for a specific niche the team needs. If you are doing a comparison between this and the VR in the old gen hubs you will see some pretty vast differences. The gap will be one of two things, either I personally think it's rated too high in the current VR or I think it's rated too low in the current VR. Some of this is the VR not being updated regularly, where the meta will always be better represented during the bigger Ubers tour. Other things is everyone having different perspective in how they view things, I have some pretty strong bias regarding certain mons. Me rating Ho-Oh much more lower than others should not be reflective of the bigger picture that you need to respect it in the builder. It is a mon that will still be used more than most of the stuff I put in my personal A ranks. To close this post off ORAS can feel a bit like a sandbox in terms of the builder and what you need to prep for, which is probably the most daunting part of prepping any team. The metagame realistically probably will not have too much new innovation in terms of structures, and most new things will be either in the form of specific movesets gaining or losing popularity, or old structures making a comeback to exploit a trend. My own advice is to use strong teams that suit your playstyle, as I find people are usually better off doing this than going crazy in the builder with not much purpose or thought put into how the team plays.
