Since this is the first edition of the tour, I will explain it here.

Tournament Format:
  • ORAS Underground Bo3
  • ORAS Ubers
  • ORAS UU
  • ORAS RU
  • ORAS NU
  • ORAS PU
  • ORAS ZU
  • ORAS LC
  • ORAS DOU
  • ORAS Monotype
If you are not familiar with some of these tiers, rejoice! We have updated (and continue to update) the ORAS lower tier resources, found here. If you want to discuss this tour or any of the lower tiers in general, go ahead and do so here.

General Rules:
  • There will be 6 teams with 10 slots and 3 subs, a total of 13 players.
  • ORAS Underground Bo3 will be 3 tiers that cycle every week. (e.g. Ubers/UU/RU -> NU/PU/ZU -> LC/DOU/Monotype -> repeat)
  • The players are bought using 130k credits the managers receive for the auction.
  • Replays will be mandatory for the duration of the tournament.
  • Managers are allowed one self-purchase to play as a player for their team at a fixed price of 15k.
  • Trades will not be permitted in this tournament.
  • 2 managers per team, which are chosen by the hosts and the ORAS moderators.
  • Manager sign-ups open up today, 5/24/2025, and last 1 week.
  • Player sign-ups will go up 5/24/2025 and will last 2 weeks. Auction will start 24 hours after signups end.

As this is tournament's first edition, it is unofficial and we will take feedback very seriously after the tour is over. If it is a huge success, expect it to be official and more fleshed out next year.

We chose to prioritize getting the tour up and running to avoid overlapping with ORASPL, so we are taking an accelerated route without discussing the format. However, we still prefer this anyways to get valuable feedback from players who participated, after the tour and for next year, which will be our second and official version of this tour.

Draft, Random Battles, 10 slots, 12 slots, etc. etc. — all that discussion is very valuable to us and will absolutely be happening, next year. For now this year's format is finalized. But don't let that stop you from enjoying this banger of a tour.

Not planning on joining this tour nor am I involved with the community, but I saw this and just wanted to chip in that 13 players/140k seems unusual and I'm not exactly sure why this is the case as opposed to 13/130k. If someone could explain this, that would be helpful.

As a side note, this is a good idea and I support more generations running tournaments like this and ADVLTL.

Good point, its just tentative for now depending on sign-ups as I truly have no idea how many people we'll get. If we get plenty we might make it 140K with 4 subs. If we don't then 130K with 3 subs. The 1 manager purchase also might change to 2 per team if the signups are that dire and low (you should join)
