Orre Colosseum Kickoff Tournament
Welcome to the first Orre Colosseum tournament hosted on Smogon!
Orre Colosseum is a format centered around the eponymous game mode in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Played at L100, the rules are the same as in-game, but against other players. It also essentially functions as a VGC mode for Gen 3, given the similarity of the rules to official Gen 3 tournaments (PL2005 and JAA) and modern VGC.
Prize pool is currently at $70 $120 thanks to donations from Nnico Iosi, MosquitoVGC, Josh Sketch, and Akiak! The plan for a $70 pools is to pay out $30 1st / $20 2nd / $10 3rd / $10 4th, but we are still accepting donations so please DM 2xNoodle if you would like to contribute. Final prize pool will be distribution for future contributions will be determined and posted here before tournament starts.

Format Ruleset:
- Team Preview
- Max Pokemon level is 100
- Exact HP mod
- Item Clause, Sleep Clause, Species Clause, Self-KO Clause
- Bring 6, Pick 4
- Soul Dew is banned
- Restricted Legendaries and Mythicals are banned:
- Matches will be best-of-five(Bo5) in every round (defined as the first player to win three games, i.e. ties are not counted.)
- You may NOT switch teams between games. Use of the challenge command provided below is mandatory.
- Teams can be changed between weeks
- All tournament games must be played on Pokemon Showdown!, and all replays of all tournament games must be posted.
- Players are NOT allowed to play their matches on the Dawn custom server
- The matches will always be played in the [Gen 3] Orre Colosseum format.
- This tournament will be run with a Swiss stage with anyone with two or fewer losses qualifying to a single-elimination top cut bracket
- The Swiss stage will be Natural Swiss + 1 additional round, so the number of rounds will depend on the number of entrants.
- Each round will last at most one week. Since Swiss pairings for subsequent rounds require previous rounds to be completed in full, we will most likely not grant extensions
- Since many players schedule matches for the weekend, we will try and avoid extension needs by having tournament weeks begin on Tuesdays and end on Mondays
- Since this tournament is being played on main Showdown, there is no turn limit for games.
- This tournament will have closed team sheets by default.
- Players are not barred from making a Gentlemen's Agreement (GA) to play with open teem sheets, but TO's cannot enforce GAs (even when there's evidence of the agreement) and default rules are to be used in a dispute.
