OU: ABC, easy as 123

After struggling in a futile attempt to play with pokémon I like, I've given up and decided to try some of these stupid looking buggers that overcrowd the OU. I felt pretty bad giving in, but this team seems to be working just fine, so I'm going to try and improve it and see how it goes on from there.

Righto, let's get this ball rolling.

Gengar (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hypnosis
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

Gengar with his shit-eating grin and heaps of resistances and immunities leads this team off in a very conservative way. I chose focus sash over life orb for the speed ties that drive me apeshit.
The moves are nothing new, just the standard stuff. Does his job of:

-Sleeping stuff
-Hitting stuff from the special spectrum
-Granting my team useful immunities
-Blocking rapid spin

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 SDef
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit
- Earthquake

Another very conservative fellow here. Gives me the neccecary power to break down a lot of things that the other teammates can't touch. Brings in the sand which is useful to my team, although I could do with more than 3 pokés benefitting from it.
Does his job of:

-Hitting stuff from the physical spectrum hard
-Putting up sand
-Pursuiting weak stuff

---

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Wish
- Zen Headbutt
- Body Slam
- Protect

I haven't been in the pokémon loop for a few years, but what the fuck is this? It looks like some sort of Asian hobbit courtesan. I actually
quite like what this guy dishes out. He's my physical wall and wish support, as well as spreading paralysis like a nutter. I chose protect since it's pretty much non-negotiable if you want him to tank. Does his job of:

-Walling stuff from the physical spectrum
-Spreading paralysis
-Providing wish support to teammates
-Driving my opponents bonkers with paraflinch

---

Togekiss (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/4 SAtk/252 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Aura Sphere

Special wall that also looks ridiculous. Another paraflinching staller, this one actually has pretty good special attack. Does his job of:

-Hitting stuff moderately hard from the special spectrum
-Walling special hits
-Spreading paralysis
-Again, driving opponents bonkers with paraflinch

---

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/6 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Avalanche
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

The king of all stupid looking things, this guy sets up rocks and phazes. I'm not entirely sure on the EV's, or even the moves, so I might need some help there. Anyways, he does his job of:

-Setting up rocks
-Phazing
-Providing useful resistances that compliment the tanks
-Hitting stuff I guess, but not really

---
dpmfa121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 160 HP/216 Spd/132 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
---

Starmie is the team spinner and another special attacker, although I really am torn whether or not I should go for ice beam over thunderbolt since it would have helped me so blood often. I might even end up on getting rid of surf altogether, but getting rid of the STAB isn't looking that good.
It does its job of:

-Spinning away rocks
-Blasting stuff away

And there's my team. It's been working okay but there are a few problems with it, mainly not enough physical power and I'm not sure if gengar is the optimal lead even though he is pretty vital to the team. Everything is prone to change, so all help is accepted. Cheerio.

Gengar... hmmmm... You mentioned that one of his purpose is to block rapid spin, well Focus Sash is not going to help much. And as a lead, Focus Sash is a big gamble game. If the opponent's lead is a Tyranitar, or Hippowdown or a rare Abomasnow, then Focus Sash is pretty much useless. Furthermore, you have your own tar, making Focus Sash pretty much useless after your own tar is out.

Yeah, Tyranitar, quite good looking, nothing to find fault in.

Jirachi looks okay too, but those attacks hit Metagross with impunity, and
he can OHKO with EQ, or give him a free turn to Agility if you switch.

Ground types will own the Togekiss set.

Swampert is ok, but I would prefer Waterfall over Avalance, reason is for STAB. I suggest putting in Swampert as early in the battle to put up Stealth Rock.

For Starmie, Ice Beam over Thunderbolt, mainly because your team has very few Ice moves for those pesky dragons.

Overall, your team lacks the offense. Relying on Paraflinching won't really win you batttles, and once Tar, the only major threat is gone, the team is pretty much weak and fragile. And don't count on Starmie to sweep, it's Sp.attack, is just not up there, unless you slap in a Choice Specs.

As stated above, gengar is fragile. Here's a lil something i use-

Spiritomb @ lefties

Calm nature 252 HP\116Def\116Sp def\20 Spa Im just testing these Ev's so if someone else wants to modify, or change them please do.

Dark pulse
Taunt
Will o wisp\Hypnosis
Pain Split

At first you think this thing is fragile, but the reality is its a pain to take down, literally. Pain split is an awesome move and it works good because spiritomb is so slow. Burning crap absolutely cripples things and can even break a few walls. This also works fairly good to stall out blissey, granted it cant really attack it. Dark pulse is mainly filler and can be changed to anything. Taunt is aweomse and speaks for itself.

Aslo i wouldnt say your team lacks defense, you basicly have 4 tanks. That looks good, however tyranitar really is sort of ugly here. Try something else, perhaps a salamence
