OU Agressor RMT
The title makes sense to me but may not to you, just as a fore-warning.
When I was constructing this team the first thing I started to think of was a lead to construct my team around, I've seen so many common leads Azelf, and Metagross mostly, as well as the occasional Infernape. So I asked myself one question and one question only, what did I want in a lead to stray away from the pack? One pokemon answered all of prayers in a lead... That pokemon being Weavile. Commonly looked over for it's rather lackluster defensive stats, I had to take into account the guns It's given. An incredible speed, attack, and fairly deep movepool to do exactly what I needed and wanted in a lead. I bring you Weavile...
Weavile @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Nature: Hasty
-Fake Out
-Taunt
-Counter
-Night Slash
Overview:
This lead is tried and true for me as personally the most effective Anti-Lead in the game with the proper support. Though Inner Focus leads can be a huge issue for Weavile, i.e. Crobat, Lucario, and the occasional Dragonite these leads aren't common enough to put a damper on my strategy. Considering most people don't ever see Weavile as a lead and never expect it to be sashed or carrying anything other than offensive moves it's nice to see the jaws drop. It's lackluster defenses actually draw the foe in for the attack more times than not and let Counter serve as a massive backhand.
Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
252 HP/ 40 Def/ 216 Spe
Nature: Impish
-Earthquake
-Roost
-Stealth Rock
-Stone Edge
Overview:
I often say that a team is only as good as It's ability to lay entry hazards effectively and quickly and Gliscor does just that, with a bite. It's fast enough and bulky enough to lay out Stealth Rocks quickly and easily with little resistance, and It boasts enough attack to make many people think twice before switching in on it. It also covers most of Weavile's most apparent weaknesses without slowing down momentum.
Gyarados @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
252 Atk/ 4 Def/ 252 Spe
Nature: Adamant
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Earthquake
Overview:
I have a soft spot for Gyarados, I always have. If I can I'll try and shoehorn it into a team as effectively as I can, and Gyarados has yet to let me down on It's uses. Thankfully, It fits well with Weavile and Gliscor, effectively picking up the slack for Gliscors obvious disposition to ice, also giving it time to set up on the switch in, or not considering most people will recklessly send out their Gya-killers to the slaughter generally Jolteon, or Magnezone obviously getting the boot. But It obviously is a little shaken by the likes of Celebi.
Heatran @ Expert Belt
Ability: Flash Fire
4 HP/ 252 SpA/ 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Hidden Power (Electric)
-Substitute
Overview:
Heatran effectively covers Gyarados from the likes of Celebi, as well helps out Weavile on Infernape assuming fire based attacks are used. The Expert Belt also helps trick the opponent into thinking that my Heatran is scarfed. It's the final leg of the quadruped of pain. With all four of them effectively covering one another's weakenesses. This alone makes it so I hardly ever have to resort to my stall tactics.
Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
252 HP/ 220 Def/ 26 Spe
Nature: Bold
-Thunder Wave
-Grass Knot
-Recover
-Light Screen
Overview: I feel like my team needed a little extra SpA cover so I opted out HP for Light Screen, which has been overall effective when I resort to using it. Grass Knot murders the likes of Swampert and has helped me with Suicune troubles.
Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
24 HP/ 252 Def/ 232 SpD
Nature: Calm
-Wish
-Protect
-Seismic Toss
-Toxic
Overview: Simply a stall option, I can't honestly say that I've had a chance to really see how well Seismic Toss works but as a stall It's great, I have used Blissey before with Fire Blast which seems to work well so maybe I'll switch back to that. Basically rounds out the rest of the team with a little extra SpD.
