Blaziken reignites in a blaze of glory! Fighting its way back to OU, Blaziken blazes a niche as a powerful offensive sweeper that can devastate teams early or clean up late-game. Speed Boost is the cornerstone of Blaziken's offense, allowing it to blitz past threats like Ogerpon-W, Kyurem, and Tornadus-T after just one boost. With the combination of Swords Dance and its two STAB moves in Flare Blitz and Close Combat, Blaziken can turn many OU staples, like Kingambit, Gholdengo, and Ting-Lu, to ash. Stone Edge threatens pests in Dragonite, Moltres, and Zapdos, as well as offering an effective way to hit Primarina and Dragapult. In conjunction with Life Orb, Tera Fighting allows Close Combat to OHKO targets like Zamazenta and Alomomola at +2. Befitting its offensive nature, Blaziken fits best on offensive teams that can both enable Blaziken to set up and clean up the weakened team afterwards. Deoxys-S excels in the former, able to choose between entry hazards to chip opposing switch-ins or setting dual screens to enable a safer setup opportunity. For the latter, teammates like Kingambit and Raging Bolt can both handle Pokemon like Pecharunt and Primarina that Blaziken struggles with, and they can target shared checks like Great Tusk and Landorus-T.

Auf seinem Weg zurück ins OU-Metagame brennt sich Blaziken eine Nische als mächtiger offensiver Sweeper, der Teams früh im Spiel vernichten oder im Lategame aufräumen kann. Speed Boost ist der Grundstein von Blazikens Offensive, welcher es ihm erlaubt, nach nur einem Boost Bedrohungen wie Ogerpon-W, Kyurem und Tornadus-T zu überholen. Mit der Kombination aus Swords Dance und seinen beiden STAB-Attacken Flare Blitz und Close Combat kann Blaziken viele OU-Staples wie Kingambit, Gholdengo und Ting-Lu zu Asche verwandeln. Stone Edge bedroht lästige Pokémon wie Dragonite, Moltres und Zapdos und bietet außerdem eine effektive Möglichkeit, Primarina und Dragapult zu treffen. In Verbindung mit Tera Kampf erlaubt Close Combat, Pokémon wie Zamazenta und Alomomola nach +2 zu OHKOen. Passend zu seiner offensiven Natur passt es am besten in offensive Teams, die ihm Set-up Möglichkeiten eröffnen und anschließend das geschwächte Team aufräumen lassen. Deoxys-S ist hierbei besonders stark in ersterer Rolle, da es zwischen Entry-Hazards, um Switch-ins anzuchippen, oder dem Setzen von Dual Screens wählen kann, um Set-up Möglichkeiten einfacher gewähren zu können. Für die zweite Rolle können Teampartner wie Kingambit und Raging Bolt gegnerische Ziele wie Pecharunt und Primarina handeln, mit denen Blaziken Probleme hat. Gleichzeitig können sie gemeinsame Checks wie Great Tusk und Landorus-T unter Druck setzen.
