Hey everyone and I am back for another RMT! This is my second OU team and after taking upon the advice from my older thread, I have decided to make a fully fledged OU team. The team revolves around Charizard X and my sudden urge to use it; after a time I got swept by it. The team worked really well and I laddered quickly because of it, but now I am finding some battles tiresome and sometimes my team starts to struggle. I need advice on replacements, or changes in movesets. So I present, The OU Destroyers:

The Team Building Process:

Sorry if this process is very bare. i'm not the best at explaining by team building thoughts but hopefully I am understandable with it.

So the first Pokemon to join the team was Charizard - who I decided to be an X. It came out of nowhere but this was my first member. He was to be my bulky setup attacker.

Then I needed something that would work well with Charizard on the offense, a good core. I originally sought for Azumarill then backed out later since that too was a bulky attacker and physical. In the end, I decided to go with Keldeo. He works as a good setup special attacker and hits hard and fast - as well as taking care of common checks to charizard; namely ground and rock types. Keldeo also helps in being my teams check to Heatran.

Now I had this core, I needed someone to keep the rocks at bay. At first I was going for a spinner - however there were not any that were bulky on the physical side. Instead I went for a defogger - Skarmory. He was reliable and is vital in switching charizard in safely.

I needed something to take special hits. My first option was to go for chansey. Since it had higher defences than blissey; i thought it would work well. However, seeing how common knock off was, I though it was safer to go for the old skarm-bliss core. They still work well in stalling opponents with status if need be. Blissey also had more offensive presence.

Seeing I already had 2 setup sweepers, I needed something that would work on a hit hard and run basis. Almost like a pivot. I went for a scarfed gardevoir because it outspeeds almost the whole unboosted tier and can get vital KOs. Being a fairy, it also checks charizard's dragon threats.

Having 5 members, I saw that another physical attacker was needed. I needed someone fast but effective. After noticing my weakness to Talonflame and Pinsir - I opted for the unusual choice of breloom. With rock tomb and a sash, I would be able to check these Pokemon well - and breloom functions as a good sweeper/annoyer too; allowing me to switch in charizard once their opponent is asleep. And there was how I built the team!

The Team in Detail:

006-mega-x.gif

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 144 HP / 252 Atk / 112 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

This thing has helped me come back from 4-1 situations before. It is rightfully S ranked. The main thing to do with Charizard is, once switching him in - get a couple of of dragon dances off, if not 1, and sweep from there. Dragon Claw and Flare Blitz have near perfect coverage bar Heatran. Roost allows charizard to heal damage on a predicted switch. Since I look to get dragon dances to boost speed - only little was invested in it and more was taken to add to charizard's bulk.

Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Secret Sword
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Calm Mind

Keldeo, once switched in is a sudden threat. After calm mind, it can OHKO a lot of the tier with it's dual STABs. Hidden power Flying takes care of gras types such as venusaur. Calm Mind, like dragon dance to charizard, allows keldeo to take hard hits and dish out huge damage.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Defog
- Brave Bird

There isn't much to say about skarmory. Get the hazards away and eat up hits. Whirlwindskar allows me to get rid of baton passers and setup sweepers, as well as subsitutes. Brave Bird comes in handy when the opponent is at low HP. Skarmory is my switch into threats such as scizor - who could otherwise demolish my team.

242.gif

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
- Ice Beam

Blissey eats up special hits and wears opponents down. After using toxic on an opponent, simply stall them out with soft boiled and seismic toss. I only use this in emergency situations. Natural Cure allows me to switch into a status and safley switch out - curing it. Ice Beam is a great move to have - as Blissey isn't useless on the offence and it dents dragons such as salamence who think they can take advantage of Blissey's measly defense stat.

282.gif

Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Trace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Moonblast
- Energy Ball
- Psyshock
- Destiny Bond

Gardevoir makes for a brilliant revenge killer. With the scarf, you simply outspeed and attack. Gardevoir has general coverage moves which destroy anything weak to them. Destiny Bond was a last minute adjustment. I figured if I brought gardevoir out whilst it was at low hp, use destiny bond - with the speed from the scarf; I could bring an opponent down for free; it seemed.

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spore
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Rock Tomb

With the sash, breloom can either put the opponent to sleep or revenge kill. If talonflame comes in, rock tomb. Breloom is able to deal with several threats thanks to its versatility. Spore allows safe switch ins for teammates, but also lets breloom sweep more easily. An important addition to the team.

Before I end, Here's a small list of pokemon who are threats to my team, as I have found:

Threats:

Talonflame/Pinsir-Mega:
663.gif
127-mega.gif

After breloom is gone...talonflame is hard to deal with. Skarmory cannot get relaible damage of and my other two sweepers are crippled by brave bird - although charizard might just survive at times. Similarly, quick attack for pinsir does the same thing.

Latias:

I don't have anything to hit latias reliably. Charizard, unboosted, cannot deal with it as it is out sped. Latias resists Keldeos STABs, as well as breloom's.

Thunderus/Landrous-T:

645-therian.gif

I struggle whenever I am against one or the other and I am not sure why. Any help would be taken kindly for this please.

So anyway, Thank you for reading this Rate my Team. Sorry if it was tedious but I really need help and would appreciate any! Thanks!

The only real problem I see with team is that Chansey>Blissey. With Evolite, it becomes much more bulky and is easily worth the lack of Leftovers. I also prefer Hidden Power Electric on my Keldeo to deal with Gyarados, but that's just my opinion.
Also I love your freaking signature.

Thank you. I will take on board what you've said. Just asking, has knock off ever posed a threat or problem to chansey, in your experience? Thanks about the signature too ^-^

Nice Team overall 8.5/10

I always recommend Chansey over blissey too so here :

Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Def / 72 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Wish
- Softboiled
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss

Thanks and sorry for the late reply. I'll sure test chansey out.

Ice beam and flamethrower are pretty much the only reasons to use Blissey over Chansey. So don't trade for Chansey if you think one of those moves is important enough to keep. You have a Mega Zard X, Keldeo, and a Gardevoir though, so Blissey's weak coverage probably won't be necessary therefore I think you'll benefit from Chansey more.

i think scarf keldeo is better and if you run it the you can replace calm mind with ice beam. maybe just maybe that you should replace keldeo? with greninja, if not maybe try to find a slot for greninja he is very reliable to killing all of those said threats to your team.
