OU - fast and bulky

Ok, so i have a few options with my team but idk exactly what to do...
i've had sucess with this team as it only has one common weakness and its well rounded, almost like a stall team, but has the ability to sweep very well.

With this post and if your going to rate i would like you to please read the "additional options" on the bottom, because the 6 pokemon i posted are not a solid "starting 6". k thanks.

ALSO: if my descriptions arnt long enuf, sorry ill add more. but i think that putting a pokemon on a team to get rid of one or 2 pokemon as a threat is stupid, so i try to make a balanced team to take away all ends of threat.

changes is BOLD

STARTER:

Jolteon @ leftovers
ability: volt absorb
nick: Bolt
nature: Timid
Ev's: 252 speed, 252 sp.attack, 6hp

-T-bolt
-HP [ice]
-shadow ball
substitute

Another failry standard sweeper, with hp ice he is a wonderful dragon counter and substitute is also a great option to have for possible sweeps. jolteon used to start games out for me because substitute and since there are so many SR'ers that start out battles.

OR

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP/216 Def/52 SAtk
Relaxed nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Surf

swampert, a standard starter with big positives. he can help with standard starters and even tho i took off the roar, i have other PHazing strategy on this team.

dpmfa130.png

Gyarados @ leftovers
ability: intimidate
nick: Drag00n
nature: adamant
ev's: 156 HP / 108 Atk / 100 Def / 144 Spe

-Dragon dance
-Taunt
-waterfall
-stone edge

this is my bulky taunty gyarados, i am a HUGE fan of the big tuff gyarados. he kinda works like a tank in tuff spots, and can even take thunder attacks in a clutch. hes mostly a sweeper, but he has that PHazing tank status about him as well.

dpmfa205.png

Forretress @ leftovers(yes i liek them)
ability: sturdy
nick: bunker
nature: Relaxed
ev's: 200 hp / 252 def / 58 atk

-gyro ball
-rapid spin
-SR
-explosion

A tank, a RSer. i like gyro ball, because i dont like having a purely defensive pokemon, and although its not too powerful, its usfull at times. explosion is a given, just hopfully the other team doesnt have a ghost like gengar.. imo forrestress is a rly good phis tank.

242blissey.png

Blissey @ leftovers
ability: natural cure
nick: fatty
nature: bold
ev's: hp 252, def 252, spd 6

-seismic toss
-t-wave
-aromatherapy
-softboiled

YES SIX EV's IN SPEED. anyways... its a standard tanking PHazing bliss. works well. no sp. atks really get thru bliss. and hes great at making opponents fairly useless with t-wave.

488cresselia.png

Cresselia @ leftovers
ability: levitate
nature: bold
nick: none.
nature: bold
ev's: 252 hp, 52 sp.atk, 150 def, rest in s.def

-Grass knot
-ice beam
-moonlight
-reflect

pretty uncommon move set with the cress; but i think grass knot is pretty nessesary when it comes to the moves i have available tfor use on the team i have posted thus far. ALSO, reflect is awesome for setting up sweeps and for tanking. cress is a wonderful tank and imo, very underrated(altho its still OU)

dpmfa214.png

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
nature: adamant
nick: LilBigHorn
abiliy: guts
evs: 252 atk, 252 speed, 6 hp

- megahon
-close combat
-pursuit
-stone edge

this was basically a suggestion i liked a LOT. heracross helps cover pokemon like latias who wanna try and sweep me. pusuit is for those ghost who try to run, like gengar. this is a good pokemon to have to predict, then slowly wear an opponent. its high attack can easily do a good job countering lucarios and infernapes (once sr'd). he helps a lot.

OTHER OPTIONS :

this is a fairly short description of other options i ave available to me that i have been seriously considering. (these other options will not be described in detail, but are fairly straight forward.

CS heracross > infernape (jolteon would then wear the sash and start battles)

metagross(standard starting metagross) > infernape AND mixmence > gyarados.

Swampert(standard starter, but a "mixpert") > infernape AND mixmence > gyarados

AND anyother options you guys have for me.

I really appriciate your guys critisism. and thanks for helpin me outtty. :toast:

A few suggestions and things that I'd like to point out,

First off, you are very weak to the CM Latias that carries Refresh. Once it starts setting up, which is fairly easy for it against this team, it will sweep until Forry explodes on it. That's a rather poor check.
For this reason, I recommend adding Calm Mind on your Cresselia. This gives you one set-up bulky "sweeper" (i'm very fond of them :P)

Next, it seems your team relies on Gyarados to block a lot of things. (Scizor, Lucario, Infernape) which it MAY not be able to do with no recovery and having to swallow 25% on every switch-in. It isn't running Impish nature either. One option to stop this would be to make it a RestTalk Gyarados. It will be much more of a tank and can restore status.

Lastly, I highly think you should slap Wish on Blissey. It will help heal up some crucial pokemon on your team (Gyarados and Forretress mainly) Gyarados is important for a majority of threats (Lucario, Scizor, Nape) and Forretress is crucial for Tyranitar.

Other than that, most threats seem to be covered decently. Good luck with your team!

BlueCleric, had a point at noticing that Latias weakness, and not only that but after Nape is out then T-tar might also be a problem seeing as your only "counter" would be Forretres.

I find no reason for Jolteon to have Shadow Ball, what are you exactlly hitting with Shadow Ball, else than Gengar? Anyways, I would change it for Baton Pass which can either Scout or Pass a Sub to Gyara who will really appreciate it, DD behind a Substitute is never a bad option.

thanks for that imput. your very right about the latias, but once jolteon substitutes + shadow ball that might help.( refresh is a pain tho).. CM on cress would be ok i think ill try that > which move? reflect?

and wish on bliss might be tuff. since id have to re-breed... gyarados does seem to be a key point to the team, so thats why i was thinking a swampert might help me out quite a bit > infernape or jolteon.

shadow ball on jolteon is for any type of pokemon pyschic or ghost.... ie: dusknoir, gengar, rotom.... etc..
im not a fan of BP although it would be good for sweeping. i think if i added BP it would make me rely on gyara even more wich is bad for me..

Hum...I see your point at using Shadow Ball now. In that case I think switching Shadow Ball for Signal Beam would be better that way Jolteon can now go with HP Grass for Swampert.

Signal Beam not only covers the Psychics mentioned like Latias and Creselia but it also has a x4 boost against Celebi whereas HP [Ice] would've been boosted only x2 while dealing with Swampert easily.

good point. and i was also thinking about the cress situation, and maybe useing jolteon @ focus sash as a battle starter(with signal beam), and insted of infernape useing:
heracross @ Choice scarf
-megahorn
-close combat
-stone edge
-pursuit

its a GREAT psychic counter and really balences out my team. what do u think? it also counters such pokemon as lucario as well.

i could also replace the then starter jolteon with swampert. who would also help with infernapes and luacarios. and if i do that i could have bronzong > forrestress or a diff phis tank..

then the team would look like: swampert, heracross, forrestress, cresselia, blissey, gyarados
