OU Hyper Offense VoltTurn Team

Alright guys. Doing something a little different here. Id like peoples opinion as always on this nice team ive got setup here, but more importantly I need some solid recommendations for my sixth pokemon on this team based on types, team synergy, role on the team etc.

Heres the lineup

1. Charizard@ Charizardite Y - 252 Sp Atk, 252 Speed, Remaining Hp
Ability: Solar Power/Drought
-Solar Beam
-Flamethrower
-Dragonpulse
-Air Slash

Pretty straightforward weather controller/ spec sweeper. Also Sunlight helps with my walls moonlight recovery and can disrupt other teams weather/ water attacks.

2. Cresselia@ Leftover- Evs undecide. 252 hp cant decide how to put defensive evs between def and sp def. Focusing more on sp def since ill porbably run Bold nature to even his defenses base stats.

-Moonlight

*Runs as a mixed wall/ Thunderwave

3. Jolteon@Choice Specs- 252 Sp Atk, 252 Speed, remaining HP? Sp Def? Cant remember
Ability: Volt Absorb
-Volt Switch
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-HP Ice

Volt Swicthes for Momentum and Shadow Ball wrecks predictable switch ins/ Psychics


4. Dragonite@Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
-Extremespeed
-Dragon Dance
-Fire Punch
-Dragon Claw

*No need for explanation, this guy wrecks

5. Scizor@Choice Band
Ability:Technician
-Bulletpunch
-U-Turn
-Superpower
-Defog

*Awesome Revenge Killing/ Momentum Gainer, also has Defog to clear hazards for Charizard and Dragonite. Superpower is a rare egg move to get for a Scizor, and it destroys non Scarfed/ Speed Ev'ed D-Dance Tyranitar. Point being Adamant Banded Tar gets wrecked which is great since hes more common

So looking at this team, which I think is pretty type diverse and has good synergy, what are some good options for a 6th team member.

Im considering Conkeldurr/ Machamp with Assault Vest to cover Cresselias Dark type weakness, and Conk gets Drain/ Mach punch stab and priority, while Champ gets Bulletpunch and Dynamic Punch with stab/ 100% accuracy

  • Also Looking into Azumarill for It awesome Water/ Fairy Typing, along with its awesome attack power and Aqua Jet Priority. Wouldnt know what item to give it though considering Scizor already has Choice Band.
  • Like Snorlax with either Assault Vest or Rest/ Curse to allow Cresselia to become a defensive wall instead of mixed, and cover Cresselias ghost weakness with its immunity to ghosts attacks.
  • Breloom is great typing for my team and has technician mach punch or poison heal sets.
Any other good suggestions for my sixth pokemon? Im keeping all the sets/ items I have listed, theyre just there to show the team the recommended pokemon would be on

Make Charizard Y Fire Blast Focus Blast Solar Beam Roost
Cresselia sucks, replace with Deo-S Life Orb Psycho Boost Ice Beam HP Fire Knock Off/Stealth Rocks
Jolteon isn't good in Ou, replace with Thundurus Life Orb Taunt Thunder Wave Thunderbolt HP Ice/ Focus Blast
Dragonite is fine. I prefer Lum Berry with Outrage but it's your choice
Banded Defog is a little weird, Life Orb works better
I suggest Keldeo Choice Specs Scald Hydro Pump HP Flying Secret Sword

Pretty cool concept with the Voltturn. Looking at it, you don't have anything to handle Excadrill. With rocks up and the sand, he's going to outspeed everything and tear a path straight through your team. All they need to do is get some prior damage on Scizor and it's all over as the only other thing that can take a hit is Cresselia who isn't doing anything back. Another weakness of your team is that it's not packing Stealth Rock. SR is essential to a Voltturn turn as it relies on forcing a lot of switches to repeatedly gain momentum and you really need some rocks down to amplify that damage and really punish them every time they are forced to switch. For these reasons, I'm going to recommend running with a Defensive Landorus-T. Landorus-T gets rocks down reliably and shuts down the Excadrill with Intimidate and bulk barring some massive iron head flinches triple crit scald burn schenanigans. Lando also adds another nice U-turn so you get that additional momentum spam.

Swap out Charizard's moveset for Fire Blast / Solarbeam / Focus Blast / Roost. This is the moveset you want as it gives you insane power with coverage and survivability.
