First off, I know a lot of people think that Trick Room is gimmicky. I thought it was at first too, but its not. Its awesome. So I started making this team earlier today, and its winning about 3 out of 4 battles, much better than my last team. When I started making my team I wasn't really sure what I was doing. I decided to get three supporters and three sweepers. For the supporters I decided on Bronzong, Dusknoir and Slowbro. Together they are weak to nothing and resist almost everything. I saw that Bronzong was a very common lead in Trick Room teams so I picked him. For my sweepers I got Rhyperior and Scizor, but I needed a third. I tried Octillery but I decided on Empoleon, leaving me with two physical and two special sweepers.
The team: (Note everyone has 0Speed IVs )
Bronzong@Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252Hp, 152Atk, 8Def, 96SpD
Moves:
Trick Room
Gyro Ball
Explosion
Stealth Rock
I'm considering changing the Item to a Lum Berry or Focus Sash. As a lead they both would be useful. I'm exploding more often so I don't really need the leftovers. For the ability I'm considering changing it to Heatproof. I figure that most people wont use EQ on me because the figure I have levitate, and make Fire attacks neutral. Anyway. He reliably sets up trick room and stealth rock. Gyro Ball is a good stab and OHKOs Aerodactyl.
Dusknoir@Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252Hp, 252Def, 4SpD
Moves:
Trick Room
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Shadow Punch
He sets up Trick Room and burns physical sweepers. Pain Split is his only recovery move, and Shadow Punch is there for the STAB. I'm considering replacing him for Claydol because I don't really need a Spin-blocker, and Claydol knows Rapid Spin and Trick Room. Only real advantage that he has is Will-O-Wisp, but I'm gonna try Claydol out.
Slowbro@Leftovers
Ability: Own Tempo
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 252Hp, 252Def, 4SpD
Moves:
Trick Room
Slack Off
Surf
Psychic
Very good bulky water who can set up Trick Room, then Slack Off the damage. Surf and Psychic are two good STABs. He sets up Trick Room and is very reliable. Probably my best Trick Roomer.
Rhyperior@Life Orb
Ability: Solid Rock
Nature: Brave
EVs: 248Hp, 252Atk, 8Def
Moves:
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Megahorn
Aqua Tail
He's strong, bulky and slow. The perfect Trick Room sweeper. He doesn't need a turn to set up, which is great because Trick Room only lasts for 4 turns. The life orb gives Rhyperior extra power, and his STAB moves alone provide great coverage. Megahorn and Aqua Tail are two strong attacks that give him more coverage. Then he switches out once Trick Room ends. An amazing sweeper.
Scizor@Choice Band
Ability: Technician
Nature: Brave
EVs: 252Hp, 252Atk, 4SpD
Moves:
U-Turn
Pursuit
Bullet Punch
Super Power
He goes first in Trick Room nearly all of the time, and the Choice Band is for extra power. U-Turn is to get him out while attacking with a STAB Choice Band. Pursuit is for trapping and Bullet Punch is nice with STAB Technician Priority. Super Power is there for coverage as well as a very strong attack. Hes a good revenge killer as well as a sweeper.
Empoleon@Life Orb
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Quiet
EVs: 252Hp, 252SpA, 4Atk
Moves:
Aqua Jet
Hydro Pump
Grass Knot
Ice Beam
He operates greatly in Trick Room and is my only Special Attacker. STAB Hydro Pump, Grass Knot and Ice Beam provide great coverage and power, while Aqua Jet is a good STAB priority move. Very reliable.
This has been a very good team, but any positive changes would be great. Thanks for the help, but please leave reasons explaining why I should make the changes.
