ORAS OU OU Mega Gardevoir Team! About to be on top 500 Board!

Hey smogon! I have recently built a new team and I've had some great success with it on the ladder!

Ok let's get into the team!

Team building process:

1. I wanted to build a team around mega Gardevoir because I had always thought she had sucked but then I went against one and switched in my excadrill I think and he Got 2KOed by Hyper Voice and I was Very Amazed at all of the power that hyper voice had.

2. I saw that mega gardevoirs speed was not very good so I was deciding between shuckle and scolopide and garvedoir and shuckle are both weak to Steel and I liked the idea of being to pass subs aswell. So I chose scolopide!

3. Next I hadn't used talonflame for awhile and he has always been one of my fav Pokemon so I added him.

4. Next I new I needed a rock resistance and a defogger so I added empoleon who is the best starter! He gave me a lot of key resistances that my team appreciated. He also is a great special wall for my team.

5. Next I new I needed a defensive wall! So I added Garchomp. He did his job decently

6. I wanted and ice attack on the team and a very strong special attack that could take on bulky phsycic types so I added specs raikou. He has been doing great fir my team!

7. Garchomp wasn't doing so well so I changed him for gliscor and he did a better job as a defensive wall.

Skai (Gardevoir-Mega) (F) @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 24 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind

The star of the show who is a great Pokemon that can tank special hits and KO most things back with Hyper Voice! The EVs are very standard. 24 defense EVs let me live 2 psyshocks from latios. Hyper voice well who doesn't run hyper voice on mega Gardevoir? Psyshock to hit those dumb special walls that get in my way! HP Fire is ussually a nice surprise for those steel types that switch in and calm mind is to boost my special attack to insane levels!

SPEED (Scolipede) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Speed Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 40 Def / 220 SpD
Impish Nature
- Poison Jab
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Protect

Scolopide is a great Pokemon that can pass speed and subs to other Pokemon! The EVs look kind of weird let ,e explain. I wanted scolopide to be as bulky as possible so I tried to even the EVs so his defense and special defense are realitively the same. I run baton pass for obvious reasons and poison jab so I. Not taunt bait. Protect to get a safe speed boost and scout. Sub to pass it to garvedoir

Ms.BraveBird (Talonflame) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Gale Wings
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

I really wanted to have talonflame on my next team and he fit in ok with this team so I have him. I love bulky swords dance set! 248 HP for bulk and Max attack plus adamant to hit like a truck! I would have used wil o wisp but I want to be able to but steel types to help mega Gardevoir! Swords dance to boost my attack to insane levels and roost to get my health back! Brave bird for obvious reasons!

OU Troller (Empoleon) (F) @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Torrent
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP /50 SpA / 208 SpD
Calm Nature
- Rest
- Scald
- Defog
- Stealth rock

Next my special wall who is the beast empoleon. He packs lots of awesome resistances and a great tool defog which is great help for tflame! Scald is for those burns and the EVs spread is ideal for my special wall just a bit a special attack to hit a little harder! Rest is my recovery plus chesto berry for instant wake up! Flash cannon for stab and fairies.

Eletric Lion (Raikou) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Raikou is a great Pokemon and can hit very hard. There's not much to say about this set because it's pretty standard but I chose specs to hit hard and I run shadow ball for annoying bulky phsycics and volt switch for that amazing momentum! Thunderbolt is for great powerful stab that's great and hidden Power Ice for treating ground types that think they could switch in safely.

Gli Gli (Gliscor) (F) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 56 Atk / 204 Def
Impish Nature
- Toxic
- Protect
- Earthquake
- Knock off

I needed a defensive wall and and a stealth rocker so I have Garchomp but then I replaced him with gliscor. I run 56 attack to hit a little harder on Eletric types and some other things and max HP plus 204 defense to tank defensive hits and toxic stall them down and protect to gain health back bc of his ability! Toxic cripples lots of Pokemon! Toxic orb so I can be poisoned and I also use protect in incoming status b4 my toxic orb activates.

All advice is apriciated. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCED!

Hello n_n
Quite a decent team you have here!
A minor suggestion is to include the importable of your team, as it makes testing it MUCH easier
Change Talonflames nature to Jolly as it helps it outspeed threats like Scarf Magnezone, Raikou and Weavile
While Gardevoir IS quite slow for today's meta, it really doesn't need speed boost support. Plus BPing to it will usually result in it getting KOd due to it's low Defense
Go for a Modest nature on Gardevoir
Change the Ev Spread of Talonflame to 252 Atk 4 Def 252 Spe
Rest
is extremely unreliable and after one time of using it, it's mostly a gamble and/or waste of a moveslot
Thus, I suggest Stealth Rock to replace it
You can also replace Flash Cannon to Roar as scald usually does enough to most fairies
Since you already have Rocks on your team, I suggest changing Gliscor to DoubleDance Lando-T
It serves as an excellent late game cleaner with extremely high Attack and Speed after a boost
I do not understand why you are adding random attacking Evs to defensive pokemon when they don't help with any KOs
Hope I helped :)

The overall makeup of the team is decent, but I would recommend changing quite a few of the sets.
Gardevoir - Usually focus blast > hp fire, otherwise heatran walls it completely. Focus Blast hits for almost the same damage on most mons anyways.
Scolipede - for a quick baton passer I would say run 240 speed with a jolly nature to outspeed base 110's like lati's. Otherwise you are outsped by most fast mons, even at +1 (like lopunny and manectric)
Talonflame - Same issue, you can probably run a Jolly nature with either max speed for the likes of weavile, or 168 speed ev's to outspeed raikou. The rest can go into hp.
Empoleon - I would give empoleon rocks over flash cannon. You aren't particularly fairy weak, and giving empoleon rocks opens up another moveslot for gliscor.
Gliscor - The preferred moves would be either taunt to shut down stall, or knock off for better coverage and utility, or substitute for substalling.
- EV's for taunt or knock off: 252 HP / 56 Def / 200 Spe EV's for sub: 244 HP / 28 Def / 236 Spe

Thanks I'll try those changes and if they do good I will but them on the team changed. And 24 defense EVs let me live 2 psyshocks from latios so that's what they are there for.

I'm not talking about 24 Def Evs on gardy
I'm talking about the ev spread on empoleon and gliscor
