Hi there. This team is centered around a Latias or Heatran sweep. I have problems with bulky Waters and Gliscor. This team is immune to Toxic Spikes, and has only one SR weakness. Spikes are an issue, but not enough of one to make me want to get a spinner. Here it is:
======================================================
Jirachi @ Lum Berry/Leftovers
Jolly - Serene Grace
80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spe
-Thunder Wave
-Iron Head
-Stealth Rock
-U-Turn
This Jirachi has the same EVs as the scarf lead, but plays really differently. On turn one, people expect a Trick, so they switch to their scarfer, usually a Latias or a Magnezone. They get hit with a T-Wave, and then I'm free to set up SR and U-Turn to a counter. Gliscor and Swampert leads are a problem, but I usually SR then U-Turn to Latias for Gliscor and Azelf for Swampy. Paralysis and flinch work extremely well together, because the paralysis essentially gives me the same amount of speed as a scarf, and I don't know what the percentage is, but my opponent barely gets to attack. Later in the game, I can provide paralysis support or a semi-decent tank for Dragon type attacks. Lum Berry helps me win everytime against Roserade leads, but Leftovers are useful later in the game. I can't pick which one. But overall a great lead, and a solid Pokemon.
======================================================
Gyrados @ Leftovers
Adamant - Intimidate
150 HP/108 Atk/100 Def/150 Spe
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
-Taunt
This is a really new set, which I like to call BulkyGyara. You probably have never seen anything quite like this. (lol) Anyway, the EVs make it extra bulky with Intimidate, and the moveset is pretty standard. Waterfall is a great STAB attack, and the flinching helps when my speed gets really high. Taunt is amazing, helping me to complete shut down Suicune, which is a huge threat to my team. Stone Edge gives me a nice check to other Gyarados and Salamence/Dragonite. This isn't one of my designated sweepers, but I find it running easily through teams nonetheless. It's a huge asset to my team because of it's resistances to Fire, Fighting, and Ground. It's also my only SR weak Pokemon. Agiligross was in this spot, but it seemed less useful than my other two steels, so Gyarados was chosen.
======================================================
Lucario @ Choice Scarf
Adamant - Inner Focus
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 Def
-Close Combat
-Crunch
-Ice Punch
-Thunderpunch Lucario is a fantastic revenge killer and cleaner in OU. Close Combat is a strong STAB move, maiming Blissey and T-tar (duh), Crunch hurts Rotom, Gengar, Latias, Celebi, and Dusknoir, while Ice Punch and Thunderpunch are used to revenge kill Gyarados and Salamence. The best part about this set is surprise value. It can outspeed and OHKO all Gliscor with Ice Punch, making it a great addition to my team. The only thing I would change about him is his nature: Adamant to Jolly. But usually, Jirachi provides enough paralysis support to help out with the speed issues. 350 Attack and 418 speed is very dangerous, especially with Lucario's movepool.
changed to Lucario @ Life Orb
Adamant - Inner Focus
252 Atk/252 Spe/4 Def
-Close Combat
-Crunch
-Swords Dance
-Extremespeed
Since Latias took over revenge killing, Lucario is now free to use the set we all know and love, Swords Dance. Lucario's a fantastic asset to the team, sweeping very easily when Jirachi's done paralyzing things.
======================================================
Latias @ Life Orb
Timid - Levitate
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
-Dragon Pulse
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Recover
Latias has great synergy with Heatran and Lucario; they cover each other's weaknesses perfectly. She's a great Gyarados check, as he can't really do anything to her and she can OHKO with Thunderbolt. Dragon Pulse is a reliable STAB move, and Surf is for Tyranitar, Heatran, and Infernape. Recover gives me the upper hand with Sandstorm and LO recoil, letting me dish out more pain before I'm taken out.
changed to Latias @ Choice Scarf
Timid - Levitate
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Trick
Latias' speed after scarf is a bit stupid... 525 outruns almost the entire tier, revenge killing and still maintaining enough bulk to take a few hits. A much better revenge killer than Lucario was.
======================================================
Azelf @ Life Orb
Naive - Levitate
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-Grass Knot
-Explosion
Weakest link, tbh. I use him as a quick Blissey/Swampert/Metagross killer. I'm STRONGLY considering replacing him with Naive MixApe: HP Ice/Grass Knot/Flamethrower/Close Combat because Azelf's not really preforming well.
changed to Gliscor @ Leftovers
Jolly - Sand Veil
252 Hp/36 Def/220 Spe
-Earthquake
-Taunt
-Roost
-Toxic
Gliscor provides another Lucario counter alongside Gyarados, and almost eliminates the threat of stall to my team. He can also absorb Electric attacks coming in on Gyarados.
======================================================
Heatran @ Leftovers
Timid - Flash Fire
4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
-Substitute
-Toxic
-Lava Plume
-Earth Power
Sub Heatran is a major annoyance for many teams, because of his ability and the fact that nothing really switches in unscathed. I Toxic bulky waters, Lava Plume those Rotoms, and EP incoming Heatrans. I chose Lava Plume over Fire Blast because I get frustrated with misses, and Lava Plume's 30% burn chance is better than Flamethrower's 10%. Heatran has good synergy with Gyarados and Latias, but sometimes loses to Rotom T-bolts.
changed to Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive - Blaze
64 Atk/252 SpA/192 Spe
-HP Ice
-Fire Blast/Flamethrower
-Close Combat
-Grass Knot
Infernape is a better coverage sweeper and wall breaker that my team desperately needed. It fares much better than Heatran against Waters and Dragons.
======================================================
Anyway, that's the team. Thanks for reading, and hopefully thanks for rating!
