THE TEAM AT A GLANCE

Okay, the reason why I chose this combination of Pokemon is for their resistances and immunities, with each team member's weaknesses being backed up by another Pokemon who resists them. This team is a supposed "upgrade" from my previous team, but I will find out soon enough after this RMT...

Lucario @ Focus Sash
Nature: Naughty (+ Atk, - SpD)
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~Close Combat
~Extremespeed
~Crunch
~Swords Dance
Originally, I considered Gallade to take the role of Anti-Lead, yet I found Anti-Lead Lucario to be the more reliable candidate for this position. Even with the lack of Counter, Lucario still does a great job of being an Anti-Lead with the combination of Close Combat and Extremespeed. Both score the 2HKO on Focus Sash leads, thanks to the raw power of Close Combat, and the priority of Extremespeed. Crunch is of course, for Azelf leads. With Counter gone, the next best option for Lucario is Swords Dance, a move that if used right, can make Lucario a great sweeper early in the game, and on an offensive team like this, it's a nice help.
Jirachi @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish (+ Def, - SpA)
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 240 HP / 160 Def / 76 SpD / 32 Spe
~Wish
~U-Turn
~Body Slam
~Iron Head
I never have a team without some kind of Paraflinch support, and Jirachi has always been the one to fill that role for me. Wish + U-Turn provides some nice healing, while the latter also proves to be a nice scout. Body Slam + Iron Head is for Paraflinch support for its teammates. All in all, a support Pokemon.

Kingdra @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful (+ SpD, -SpA)
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Def / 176 SpD / 12 Spe
~Rest
~Sleep Talk
~Outrage
~Waterfall
He replaced Gyarados as my bulky status absorber, and for good reason. While Gyarados had the better HP and SpD, Kingdra has more balanced stats, along with the lack of glaring Rock + Electric weaknesses. Also, the combination of Outrage + Waterfall offers better type coverage than Waterfall + Avalanche. the Defensive variation I chose for the sake of type coverage, and the ability to stay alive longer due to Kingdra's bulkiness.

Latias @ Life Orb
Nature: Timid (+ SpA, -Atk)
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~Draco Meteor
~Surf
~Thunderbolt
~Recover
Carried over from my previous team, Latias returns for another go at the offensive team. The first two moves on the set are nearly unresisted, and can OHKO or 2HKO some major threats. Thunderbolt is basically my answer to Bulky waters that can wall some of my team. I know Jirachi can successfully pass Wish to Latias because of the resist to Fire and its Ground immunity, yet Recover is not omitted so Latias can stand on its own.

Salamence @ Life Orb
Nature: Mild (+ SpA, -Def)
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 84 Atk / 216 SpA / 208 Spe
~Draco Meteor
~Earthquake
~Fire Blast
~Outrage
Honestly, it was almost a coin flip for this or the DD set. DD has the power and speed, but MixMence has the wall breaking qualities that allow Heatran to do the late-game sweeping it needs. Not much to say here...it's better to let its battling speak for itself.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Naive (+ Spe, - SpD)
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~Fire Blast
~Explosion
~Earth Power
~Dragon Pulse
What more can I say about the best Revenge Killer in the world? Well...He can keep many threats at bay with Fire Blast and Earth Power, and Dragon Pulse can nicely hurt Dragon types, including Kingdra. His main goal is to revenge kill, but he can also be a late game sweeper after every other teammate has done massive damage to the other team.

Lucario @ Focus Sash
Nature: Naughty (+ Atk, - SpD)
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
~Close Combat
~Extremespeed
