OU Offensive team...please don't be a fail.

Lately, I have been trying and trying to think of a new team, while still sticking to my offensive-slanted style. Previous teams had good defensive synergy, but there were some types that would only have one Pokemon as a resist/immunity, then my team got plowed. >_> The last team I had also ran two scarfers, so that wasn't exactly that good.

Drawings are by Arkeis, not me.

SWAMPERT - THE LEAD
swampert.png

Swampert @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Relaxed (+Def, -Spe)
EVs: 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpA

~Earthquake
~Ice Beam
~Hydro Pump
~Stealth Rock

The standard lead MixPert who always gets the job done. He is in my opinion, the one of the most reliable leads in terms of durability, because of his beastly HP and pretty good defenses. Originally physically inclined, but changed to Mix in order to hurt some defensive Pokemon who try to switch in.
LATIAS - SPECIAL ATTACKER 1
latias.png

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs:
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~Draco Meteor
~Surf
~Thunderbolt
~Recover

Latias is one of the two Special Attack-oriented Pokemon on my team, the other being Magnezone. Her type coverage is awesome, thanks to a combination of Dragon + Water, and Electric for ground types.

JIRACHI - WISH/PARAFLINCH HACK SUPPORT
jirachi.png

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Impish (+Def, -SpA)
EVs:
240 HP / 160 Def / 76 SpD / 32 Spe
~Wish
~U-Turn
~Body Slam
~Iron Head

Jirachi in it's Wishpasser/Paraflinch support, but he really lends the team a hand. Wish helps Pokemon like Salamence and Magnezone by passing some healing move, with the former as the best recipient because of resistances. Body Slam ensures Paralysis, which my other team members could play off of, especially if the Pokemon paralyzed is a boosted one. Iron Head is a follow up for Body Slam just to provide some ParaFlinch action, where Jirachi can very well take down a few Pokemon before it has to heal again.

SALAMENCE - Wall Breaker
salamence.png

Salamence @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Mild (+SpA, Def)
EVs:
84 Atk / 212 SpA / 212 Spe
~Draco Meteor
~Earthquake
~Fire Blast
~Outrage

Newer version of MixMence, and a beast at that. He hits hard almost every type with Draco Meteor and Outrage, and for the Steel types that resist both, he has Earthquake and Fire Blast. He doesn't need Roost, because more than likely Jirachi will be Wishpassing. 4 HPs from SpA were placed into Spe for the sake of outrunning the normal MixMence variation.

MAGNEZONE - SPECIAL ATTACKER
magnezone.png

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EVs:
172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power [Ice]
~Flash Cannon
~Substitute

The Scarf Set of Magnezone, just put with the Substitute Set EVs, the move substitute, and leftovers. In my opinion, the roles of killing certain steel Pokemon can be taken by the likes of Salamence/Latias/Gengar to an extent.

GENGAR- REVENGE KILLER
gengar.png

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Modest (+SpA, -Atk)
EVs:
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt
~Hidden Power Ice
~Trick

My personal favorite Pokemon, and not it's just a great Revenge Killer. He replaced Rotom the status absorber, and for a good reason. He still retains immunities to Ground, Normal, and Fighting, and that's always helpful. The main advantage is to give this team some speed, since in reality, this team isn't really fast. The reward of Scarf Gengar is that it can outrun some threats that my other Pokemon can't.
I chose HP Ice over Focus Blast for the sake of accuracy and for the ability to KO +1 DDers like Dragonite or Salamence.

First of all, I don't really like lead Lucario, and anyway, if you really want to use it, the only reason to use a lonely nature is counter, otherwise use adamant.
Yes, you could beat Azelf and Aerodactyl, but they will still set up their rocks, while you'll always lose to Jirachi and Metagross leads, not to mention that the standard relaxed Swampert will always survive 2 close combats setting up SR in the meanwhile... I really suggest you to change yor lead, Metagross is a fine choice in my opinion:

Metagross@lum berry
nature: adamant
EVs: 248 hp\ 252 atk\ 8 spe
-meteor mash
-bullet punch
-stealth rock
-explosion

Secondly, I believe you may have some problems with Mamoswine, no one on your team can switch in safely, I suggest you to replace Gyarados with a sleep talk Rotom, it will absorb statuses like Gyarados, but is neutral to stone edge:

Rotom-h@leftovers
nature: bold
EVs: 252 hp\ 168 def\ 88 spe
-thunderbolt
-WoW\ shadow ball
-rest
-sleep talk

The rest of the team seems ok.

Oh, you may also have some problems with CB TTar, but I believe you can play around this weakness with the resistances provided by Jirachi and Magnezone and the ground immunity provided by Salamence\Latias.

Hope this helps.

Yeah i agree with Haunter.
We make a good rating duo. ^_^
But i think, instead of using a metagross lead just go with Swampert this enables you to much better take on the likes of Tyranitar when it uses Stone Edge. Apart from that this team looks pretty solid. Stealth Rock will enable your gyarados to much more easily sweep.

The problem with this is that I'll have two Pokemon with the exact same type, meaning the same weaknesses.

I personally like this suggestion, so I will add Rotom. The appliance forms don't really matter since they're all the same stats (according to Serebii) right?

The rest of the team seems ok.

I did consider this, and that's exactly what I plan to do when faced with Choiced Pokemon in general.

Hope this helps.

I very well agree that Swampert is a great lead who always gets the job done. Does a pure Physical version sound great?

Rotom should be Rotom-h, because Rotom-h could bluff Overheat against things like Mamoswine. Will-o-wisp would be better than Shadow Ball, because with Will-o-wisp, you can cripple Tyranitar before it knocks Rotom-h out. This, and the value of being able to burn other Physical sweepers, is more valuable than the type coverage gained from Shadow Ball.

The only problem with having WoW is that it could potentially get in the way of Jirachi's Paraflinching.

I would change Swampert, and give it Ice Beam and Hydro Pump over Avalanche/Waterfall. This allows you to take on quite a few other defensive pokemon that may switch into you looking for a set up.

Although I do recommend a faster pokemon than Magnezone to hold a Choice Scarf, since most things that get just 1 dragon dance are theoretically going to give you a ton of trouble, since your team isn't very fast. I would change Magnezone to a Substitute set (Sub over Signal Beam is fine), and possibly repalce Rotom with a Scarf Gengar (Trick / Shadow Ball / TBolt / Focus Blast*HP Ice*Energy Ball*Explosion). This gives you an attack oriented team that has Jirachi for wish support, and still keeps your good defensive type coverage.

Changed.

Thanks for the tip, Gengar seems awesome enough to kill off those DDers who think they can outspeed all Pokemon on my team. Added.
