OU Rain (yes another)

For quite some time I was reluctant to make a rain team, due to the fact that everyone does it. After I stumbled upon a team (not sure who by) with a unique Dragonite set several months ago I decided to make a rain team using his Dnite set. My main focus was to build a successful rain team that was atleast somewhat different than the standard. If I had to guess I've been using this team mostly unchanged for close to 6 months and it's by far my most successful team so far. Pictures will be added later most likely

(Politoed) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Scald
- Toxic
- Protect
- Perish Song

Politoad is obvious on any rain team, I opted for a bulky set because I want her alive as long as possible. Toxic and Protect go along well with a more defensive set. Scald over Surf because the i like that it can cripple physical pokes. A lot of people would say Encore over Perish Song, but it's saved me countless times. And, unlike Encore, it can get rid of pokes already set up.

(Tentacruel) (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Toxic Spikes
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Protect

Not much to say here, I needed a spinner and Tentacruel fits perfectly. She spins and sets up Toxic Spikes. Protect is good for stalling and gives a turn to heal.I'm considering Surf over Scald.

(Toxicroak) (F) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Stone Edge

For this set I decided to go unorthodox and combine 2 common sets. I understand that Bulk Up would give a Drain set more bulk, but the faster boost of SD gives back more than enough HP to make up for it. Sucker Punch does tons of damage with priority on Ghosts or Psychics that come in and usually can OHKO them. Stone Edge is there for the surprise factor and comes in handy very often. I'd rather have Ice Punch in it's place but it's illegal with Drain Punch.

(Dragonite) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 224 HP / 252 SAtk / 32 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hurricane
- Thunder
- Roost
- Ice Beam

This guy can do serious damage. Hurricane is obviously the primary attack. Thunder is used for anyone weak to it or that resists Hurricane. Roost is for recovery and to get back to max HP for Multiscale. The last move changes all the time. No matter what i put there I rarely use it. If not for multiscale I'd have sub but the 2 don't work well together. Ice Beam is the most useful I've tried here but I'm open to suggestions.

(Scizor) (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

Standard Scizor is never a bad choice and he loves the rain. He makes a great revenge killer and U-turn is great for scouting. Really not much I have to say as everyone knows what he does and how powerful he is.

(Jolteon) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Thunder
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Jolteon is very important for this team to work. Volt Absorb does a lot to keep my water types alive and the healing helps nullify her frailty. Choice Specs with Thunder and Hidden Power give her a lot of OHKO power. Shadow Ball gets occasional use for taking down Psychics and Ghosts. Volt Switch hits hard and is great for scouting

locked under rule 3. some sets are descriptively weak and will probably result into weaker rates. fortify your descriptions or play with it a bit more so you have a lot to say about it. pm me your fixes and i'll re-open this for you.
