[OU] RMT - 3 Steels = Win? (Reached 1400+ CRE)

Yes this team does have 3 steel types, but It’s not Fire weak. This team attempts to pull off a Lucario sweep.
I have been successful with this team and I think it might be one of he best I have ever used.

The lack of Fire type moves is sometimes troublesome but I can live with it.

Note: * They are not really caught in those balls.

On with the team:

rsitem007.png
Metagross @ Lum Berry

Ability: Clear Body
EVs:242 Hp| 236 Atk|12 Def|8 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Stealth Rock
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Explosion

This is the first steel on my team. I would not really count it into the whole steel thing because he normally just ends up exploding but..meh.I went on a long journey trying to find a good lead. I tried almost everyone of them(even UU ones),and then I stumbled upon the superb pokemon know as Metagross. This Pokemon is amazing, beating anti leads and setting up SR.He also beats sleep lead which I hate <.<.Meteor Mash is a solid STAB attack. I usually spam it often for the Atk raise which will make my Explosion even stronger, being able to beat steels like Skarmory and friends. Bullet Punch is used to pick off weakened foes. Explosion is mainly for Swampert and has to be used VERY carefully.

rsitem003.png
Suicune @ Leftovers

Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk| 252 Spe| 4 Hp
Nature: Timid
- Surf
-Hidden Power (Electric)
- Calm Mind
- Ice Beam

Offensive CM Suicune.Cune is simply a beast with or without CM.I cannot count the amount of Brelooms,Gyarados and Zapdos this thing has killed. I chose Suicune because I wanted a nice fire resist that can also maybe sweep. Surf is excellent STAB move that has good coverage. Hidden Power kills Gyarados and other water types. Calm mind is so that Suicune can take hits and hit hard at the same time. Ice beam is for Dragons and Brelooms.I really ‘wish’ I had some wish support to help Suicune :P.

380.png

rsitem004.png
Latias @ Life orb

Ability: Levitate
EVs:252 Sp.Atk| 252 Spe|4 Hp
Nature: Timid
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Recover

This is almost a staple for all of my teams with it’s typing,Nice stats and excellent coverage.Latias acts as my ‘damage doer’ as in it does as much damage as it can before if dies.Laitas also keeps a lot of Pokemon that would otherwise cause my team trouble in check.I just love dropping Draco Meteors on Pokemon that don’t resist it or named Blissey.Surf hits steel that otherwise wall this set.I normally use Surf to scout for Tyranitar.Thundebolt hits waters and more importantly,Gyarados.I don’t use Recover a lot but I use it when Latias is low on Hp and the opponent is about to switch.

330.png

rsitem005.png
Flygon@ Choice Scarf

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk| 252 Spe| 4 Hp
Nature: Jolly
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Fire Blast
- Outrage

Flygon is really what holds this team together with it’s EQ,and U-turn.Flygon is my Revenge killer and sometimes even my late game sweeper! Earthquake keeps pokemon like Jolteon and friends in check.U-turn hits Latias,Starmie and Tyranitar for reasonable damage.Fire blast is for Skarmory and Scizor(although it can just Bullet Punch Flygon L)Outrage is used on Pokemon that MUST die and takes out Dragons. I went with Jolly over Adamant because I wanted speed over power. One thing I do have with Flygon is with its mediocre attack but it isn’t that bad….

212.png

rsitem011.png
Scizor @ Choice Band

Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 Hp| 252 Atk| 8 Spe
Nature: Adamant
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Superpower
- Pursuit

Lol.Almost everyone has one of these on their teams simply because: it can fit on pretty much any team, check a ton of Pokemon and it can late game sweep.(I am sure they are more). This is my second steel on the team. Scizor is my scout and sometimes my late game sweeper. Bullet Punch is what makes this set so good. Being able to KO weakened enemies-turn is Scizor’s other STAB move and takes a huge chunk off Pokemon that don’t resist it. Superpower kills Snorlax and Blissey and slam Pokemon that don’t resist it hard.Pursuit is for choiced ghost pokemon locked into the wrong move. I also use it on Pokemon switching out.

448.png

rsitem012.png
Lucario @ Life orb

Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk| 252 Spe| 4 Def
Nature: Adamant
- Close Combat
- Extreme Speed
- Swords Dance
- Crunch

The last and final Steel type on my team.Lucario is my late game sweeper and a good one at it. You would not believe how easy it is to set up SD and then start KOing Pokemon.Close Combat is a superb STAB move on Lucario, being able to OHKO many Pokemon..Extreme Speed is used when I know I cannot out speed my opponent but can Ko them. Crunch takes care of those pesky Rotoms that like to ruin Lucario’s sweep
I do plan to make a threat list but I would just like to point out the major threats I have right now.

dpicon212.png
Scizor- SD variant for that matter. It can set up on Latias and then Bullet Punching and Bug biting my team to nothing.

dpicon373.png
Salamence- Just the bulky ones, the others are easily handled.

dpiconani212.gif
Scizor: For the CB version is easily delt with by Cune. SD Scizors are the real problem.I have to rely on Cune and sometimes Lucario.
dpiconani373.gif
Salamence: Latias,Suicune and Flygon can handle it. The bulky ones are the real problem if Latias is gone.
dpiconani130.gif
Gyarados: Latias can thunderbolt it,Suicune can Hp Elec it.
Ani479OMS.png
Rotom-H: If choiced on shadow ball I MIGHT just pursuit it with Scizor if not,I just Draco Meteor it with Latias. :P
dpiconani485.gif
Heatran: Latias,Suicune and Flygon keeps it in it's place.

dpiconani380.gif
Latias: Scizor. If Scizor is gone I use my own Latias(If the other Latias is not scarfed).I could also just use Flygon to U-turn or Outrage on it.
dpiconani376.gif
Metagross Flygon.if Flygon dies,I might be in some problems.

dpiconani448.gif
Lucario: Try not to let it get a SD.Flygon can handle it to an extent.Suicune can hit it hard with a Surf.
dpiconani392.gif
Infernape: Flygon,Suicune and Latias
dpiconani385.gif
Jirachi: One of the main reasons I have Flygon. If Flygon is gone,I might have some problems.
dpiconani094.gif
Gengar: If it is not one of those Scizor killer sets then Scizor eats Gengar up.Latias can KO it with Draco meteor and Flygon can Outrage on it.
dpiconani260.gif
Swampert: Meh..just get it into Latias's Drac Meteor's range. which is around maybe 80% maybe?
dpiconani242.gif
Blissey: Not a big threat, but annoying. If Scizor,Lucario and Metagross is gone,it's game over :(.
dpiconani482.gif
Azlef:Metagross if it's a lead.If not then Scizor can revenge kill one.

dpiconani121.gif
Starmie: Flygon and Scizor
dpiconani472.gif
Gliscor: Eh...if Latias and Suicune is gone it's practically game over.
dpiconani134.gif
Vaporeon: Latias and Suicune. Scizor can hit it hard with U-turn.
dpiconani462.gif
Magnezone:I have to use Flygon.
dpiconani230.gif
Kingdra: Latias Ko it. Scizor can dent it badly with U-turn.
dpiconani286.gif
Breeloom: Thank god for Suicune :P.
dpiconani227.gif
Skarmory: Only Latias can handle it I think.
dpiconani437.gif
Bronzong:Scizor can dent it with U-turn.Thats it.
dpiconani251.gif
Celebi: Scizor can dent it with U-turn,Latias can hit it hard with DM.
dpiconani330.gif
Flygon: Scarfed are handled by Scizor.
dpiconani245.gif
Suicune: 'Use Scizor to dent it with U-turn then Latias finishes it off.
dpiconani135.gif
Jolteon: Flygon
dpiconani395.gif
Empoleon: agility petaya is handled by Suicune and sometimes Flygon.
dpiconani205.gif
Forretress: I have no idea what to do <.<.I normally just hit it with Suicune
dpiconani466.gif
Electivire: Flygon. Scizor can revenge kill one.Latias can hit it hrd with DM.
dpiconani468.gif
Togekiss: Latias and sometimes Scizor.
dpiconani461.gif
Weavile: Scizor,Metagross can BP it.Suicune sets up on it.
dpiconani142.gif
Aerodactyl: Metagross. If Gross is down i use Suicune
dpiconani473.gif
Mamoswine: Suicune
dpiconani143.gif
Snorlax: Lucario,Scizor
dpiconani477.gif
Dusknoir: Hit it with a DM from Latias or set up on it with Suicune
dpiconani235.gif
Smeargle: Usually lead, and Metagross beats it.
dpiconani291.gif
Ninjask: Metagross.I usually predict a BP team so I just make sure it doesn't have a sub up and then explode on the incoming Pokemon.
dpiconani073.gif
Tentacruel: Latias
dpiconani149.gif
Dragonite: Flygon,Latias and Scizor
dpiconani450.gif
Hippowdon: Lati and Suicune
dpiconani407.gif
Roserade: Usually lead,which M.Gross handles.

Hey what's up Tooks, I got a message that you wanted me to rate this team, so will do, something that'll be great if you had your threat list up, but I'll see the problems on your team for now. For Metagross what I see the problem is that you might want to put Occa Berry on Metagross, since there's no lie that you have 3 current pokemon weak to Fire, so it can cost a big problem but why not help it out with Occa Berry. The other thing you might want to change for your Metagross is Meteor Mash into Earthquake, reason being it can take on most leads, Jirachi, Metagross, Heatran, Tyranitar, Infernape etc. That Metagross that you currently have is asking to get owned by Heatran, so I highly recommend you change Meteor Mash into Earthquake.

Now you listed 2 threats, SD scizor and Bulky Dragon dancing Salamence I have quite a solution for this, Latias seems to be the bait for Scizor and that's why you get set up on by SD scizor and you said you can't stop it. So my recommendation is to replace Latias, you already got some quick pokemon. Rotom-H seems to fit well, plus the EVs I'm giving you since most Bulky Salamences Speed hit 280 and the set I'll be giving you outspeeds it.

Rotom-H @ Leftovers
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 Hp / 192 Spd / 64 Def
Moveset: Thunderbolt, Will-O-Wisp, Subsitute, Pain Split

Will-O-Wisp will absolutly cripple The SD Scizor and Salamence, And Pain split just adds recovery, Subsitute is to stop status, and see if the other player is about to switch.

Good luck in the future, and really hoped my analysis helped you.

Thanks you for the rate. I will be testing it out very soon.

NOTE; A Threat list is now up.

Since at one point you mentioned that you wanted Wish support, I would suggest a Wish support Latias with the following set:

Latias @ leftovers
Timid nature
252hp 4def 252speed
-Dragon pulse
-Wish
-Protect
-Reflect

The first three moves are obvious. I feel reflect is the best option for the 4th slot as it allows you to support Suicune and Lucario in obtaining boosts. It also helps to rescue you from pursuits from Scizor and Scarf Tyranitar, having scouted their move with protect. This also allows you to mitigate your Lucario weakness, since you can survive a +2 extremespeed, set up reflect and allow another team-member to revenge-kill. Flygon takes 88-100% from a +2 extremespeed, which given that he often switches into SR several times to scout with U-turn, is far from reliable. Your current best hope is a speed tie with your own Lucario.

Although he is not as bulky as Latias, you could try a bulky DD gyarados. He would counter Lucario fairly well, and can intimidate and taunt bulky salamence to be dealt with by another team member (e.g suicune.) He also provides some insurance against SD Scizor and I feel he has good synergy with Lucario offensively.

Good luck.

Thanks for the rate. I am not really fond of that Latias but I will be testing Bulky Gyarados I use to have one anyways.)

Mamoswine somewhat checks a bunch of guys on your team but otherwise its a really good team. Although you really have to watch out for ScarfTar ate times, especially when Suicune and Scizor are down.
