[OU-RMT] Bulky Offense

Introduction:
One day, I was battling this guy and he beat me 5-0. I couldn't even do anything. When I attacked, he shook it off with recovery moves and kept on boosting it's stats. He even took advantage of the weather and completely obliterated me. Guess what that team was based on. Bulky Offense. That's why I made a Bulky Offense Team.

Metagross @ Lum Berry
Clear Body
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -Sp. Atk)
52 Hp / 236 Atk / 212 Def / 8 Speed
Bullet Punch
Stealth Rock
Meteor Mash
Explosion

I love Metagross because this thing is an awesome lead. With a lum berry, t-wave, yawn, Will-O-Wisp won't have any effect on this Metagross. I set up Stealth Rock from the beginning and wither opponents down with Meteor mash and Bullet punch. When Metagross is about to pass out, I go with a BOOM to leave a dent on the opponent's Pokemon.

Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Sand Stream
Careful Nature (+ Sp. Def, -Sp. Atk)
252 Hp / 40 Def / 216 Sp. Def
Curse
Crunch
Rest
Sleep Talk

At first, I was like wtf? A defensive Tyranitar? And ignored this awesome set. This set surprises many opponents as most ttars tend to run a DDance instead of Curse. What else is that, it has rest and sleep talk so this ttar will absorb sleep, poison, paralysis, burn and catch opponents off-guard. The Sp def Ev spread and Sandstorm will make the Tyranitar a beastly wall and the def is all taken care of with curse. Don't ever underestimate the power of a CurseTar.

380.png

Latias @ Leftovers
Levitate
Calm Nature (+Sp. Def, -Atk)
252 Hp / 116 Def / 112 Sp. Def / 28 Speed
Dragon Pulse
Recover
Reflect
Thunder Wave

This used to be a Cresselia but, I looked at Latias and it's practically the same thing except it has more Speed and Sp. atk and recover instead of Moonlight. This Latias is just awesome, I've tried it a few times and it works better than the Cresselia I had before. This Latias is the new glue that holds this team together. Bye bye Cresselia, I'll miss you.

130.png

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Intimidate
Impish Nature (+Def, -Sp. Atk)
252 Hp / 224 Def / 32 Speed
Waterfall
Dragon Dance
Rest
Sleep Talk

Not much to say here. This Gyarados works wonders in this team. With Dragon Dance, I won't have to worry about the atk ev and the speed ev. Intimidate will help my Gyarados have a better chance at living a physical attack and Rest and Sleep Talk will help it absorb status problems. It's similar to the CurseTar

467.png

Magnezone @ Leftovers
Magnet Pull
Timid Nature (+Speed, -Atk)
40 Hp / 252 Sp. Atk / 216 Speed
Magnet Rise
Hidden Power Grass
Thunderbolt
Substitute

A regular steel killer. My ttar is my main atker in this team. Guess what ruins it, Scizor. Especially Choice Banded ones. When Scizor is locked into pursuit or Bullet Punch, This guy comes in and rips the scizor apart one-by-one. Hidden Power Grass is for Swamperts who just love to roar my CurseTar and Gyarados away. Magnet rise is for those pesky Earthquakes and Substitute is for those Bullet Punch locked on Scizors.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Flash Fire
Rash Nature (+Sp. Atk, -Sp. Def)
4 Atk / 252 Sp. Atk / 252 Speed
Flamethrower
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse
Explosion

This Heatran might need some help but I'm never changing the item cause I love it. It works perfectly with Heatran. Heatran can come in on all those fire attacks aimed at Magnezone or Metagross. Earth Power is for opposing Heatrans and Dragon Pulse is for type coverage. Explosion is also for a last minute resort.

hey solid team,

well those people are right, moonlight is ss is aweful. what you should do instead is replace cress with a defensive Latias, Latias has access to reflect, twave and access to the more superior recovery option recover. it also is capable of outspeeding more things unlike cress.

also i would make heatran naive in order to outspeed more things such as +1 gyrados, jolteon etc.

hope i helped

I'm not fond of RestTalk Gyarados, but whatever works.
Also, if Gyarados goes down, how will you take care of Ground types like Hippowdon?
Your team is also bad against EQ, although you do have quite a bit of Levitating/Flying pokes.
As Megan Fox said (lol), use Screening Latias. It'll help protect your team while you sweep. Replace either Cressy or Magnezone, since Heatran can OHKO Scizor anyway.

What should I switch Magnezone for? Since Heatran can just destroy Scizor and Most Skarmory and Forretress have shed shell, Magnezone doesn't really help. And, any other move suggestion for Heatran? I don't really like Dragon Pulse lol. Also, What ev set should I use for a bulky Gyarados?

Well, if you want to make Gyara a sweeper, then 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe is just fine. I'm not 100% on the Bulky Set, though. Movewise for sweeper...Waterfall, Stone Edge, Earthquake, and Dragon Dances.

Dark Pulse is really the best thing for Heatran because it allows him to take out other Dragons. You could also use Hidden Power Ice, but that's about the extent. Also, you could use Substitute on Heatran, since it actually works fairly well.

Well, I'm just gonna go for the Bulky Gyarados Set on Smogon. The Rest-talk set only allows me to use waterfall which sucks.
Also, What should I switch Magnezone for?

Edit: On Smogon, it says a Support Latias (Which I will use instead of Cresselia) works very well with a Rest-Talk Gyarados.. What should I do?

Yeah well Rest talk Gyara was popular as a stall physical wall at one time so maybe the analysis was refering to a stall team using them?

Personally I would swap magnetzone for something that can take advantage of a scizor locked into bullet punch (and im posting a RMT soon using this stratigy).

Pokemon like a subCM jirachi or a subDD kingdra can switch in on a resist and start setting up, additionally they are both very dangerous under screans as well.

Hi I got your PM lets get started.

Metagross-Nothing wrong I prefer more hp then defence though but w/e.

Tyranitar-I have never tested this but don't you need like 4 curses to get a actual sweep? Its 4x weakness to fighting is a pain. But if you really want this it can stay.

Latias-That set is fine but if you want to switch back to cressilia use the dualscreen with lunar dance set. Reflect/Lightscreen/Lunardance/Thunderwave. This can make your Tyranitar come back alive for another sweep. Say there are no hazards. And tyranitar is sitting at 13percent health. Cresillia takes the enemy hit and then lunar dances. Tyranitar gets full hp as long as hazards or the other move won't hit him if cressilia is faster and status is gone. This is useful lategame as people won't be expecting this much.

Gyarados-I don't think you have alot of speed EV's but if you can outspeed scarfs +2 then its fine.

Magenzone-Switch this with a fighting pokemon or something that can actually kill blissey in one hit.

Heatran-Stays not much to say but if you hate swamperts and explosion you can change that to HP grass.

Anyway good luck :D

Could u tell me exactly what fighting type? I actually never used fighting types in my team b4 so it's really hard for me to decide which one I should use

SD Lucario fits in well as many of its counters are stopped cold by your Gyarados. It is also well supported by your team and is a nice End game sweeper if your team requires one. However with choice T-tar running around it is worth considering Agility Lucario instead.

I'd do away with both of those Rest Talkers, since you can't do a thing against bulky waters as it is and you're not covering some of OU's most imporant threats. Just use a standard DDGyara and a CS or CB Tyranitar. And what are you going to do about Salamece? He's the biggest OU threat there is and not one of your Pokemon is ready to handle him. Once Heatran's health is < 40%, Lucario can safely run through your entire team.

This team in general is like bulky offense minus the offense. Slap a Specs on Latias, a Scarf or Band on Ttar, and maybe a Life Orb on Gyarados, then we're talking some serious firepower. Replace Magnezone with Scizor and it looks like we've got a real team.
