'The Shiney Anti Lead'
376.png

Metagross @ LifeOrb
Abillity: ClearBody
EV's: 120 HP/ 130 att/ 252 Sp.Att/ 8 Spe
Naive nature (+Spe, -Sp.def)
-Zen Headbutt
-GrassKnot
-HiddenPower (Ice)
-BulletPunch

i love this thing as my lead... it can really catch people out right from the start with its unique moveset. This pokemon very rarely dont get a KO in a battle. It only carries one common lead metagross move (BulletPunch) so pokemon like swampert and Machamp really dont know whats coming for them. the EV's given do let it 1hko standard Lead Machamp and swampert right of the bat which is an instant plus for any team. it also 1hko Gliscor after taking an earthquake and surviving it. it deals well with most leads and here are some examples

482.png
Azelf leads are a problem for this metagross, so an instant switch too tyraniatr could put me at another instant advantage

068.png
Machamp gets 1HKO by Zenheadbutt. And with Machamps abillity in play i have no fear with ZenHeadbutt's 85 accuracy

142.png
I start of with a GrassKnot just to break the sash. It may bluff the opponent into thinking i dont have a steel move in which i can then bullet Punch.

376.png
I switch straight to Gliscor...My meta cannot touch other Meta's...but they dont know that yet...

260.png
GrassKnot will 1HKO lead perts for an instant 6-5 to me

385.png
Jirachi is a problem lead for me. i would switch into Infernape taking either Trick or firePunch well, then continue from there. if it u-turns then its at least its still a NVE move

407.png
Roserade is another small problem. I will usually attempt the ZenHeadbutt hoping Sleep Powder misses. if it does miss then BulletPunch will 2hko it. if it hits then i switch to infernape next turn

485.png
i switch straight to tyranitar

392.png
Another problem as i dont know what too expect. i will usually switch into starmie and see what happens from there

291.png
Bullet Punch for a 2hko....thats it xD

'the purple wall'
472.png

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Abillity: sand veil
EV's: 252 HP, 40 def, 216 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -Sp.att)
-Earthquake
-StoneEdge
-Roost
-Stealthrock

Every team needs stealth rock and this was my choice as it supports alot of my team from the physical side of the game, plus it was fast enough to get SR up each battle without a problem. after that it just supports the team with its bulk and abillity to recover of damage.

'The little green annoyer'
492.png

Shaymin @ Leftovers
abillity: natural cure
EV's: 252 HP, 4 sp.att, 252spe
Timid nature (+spe, -att)
-SeedFlare
-EarthPower
-Leechseed
-Substitute

i love shaymin so much. with the abillity to sub seed with a 101 sub it can really cause all sorts of hassle too other teams. Blissey can NEVER beat this Shaymin 1vs1. with 328 speed wit also carries a huge threat of speed too. having natural cure is also i nice bonus for this team.

'not the star of the show'
121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
abillity: natural cure
EV's: 4 hp, 252 sp.att, 252 spe
Timid Nature (+spe, -att)
-Surf
-ice beam
-thunderBolt
-HiddenPower (Fire 70)

This is the one pokemon in the team i have considered changing for some time. It does its job fairly well but always seems to fall short of taken the hits some of the rest of the team need it to take for them. HiddenPower fire really does help out when i need it and the other moves are really just standard coverage for starmie. again natural cure is nice

'the epic ape thats everywhere'
392.png

Infernape @ Life Orb
abillity: Blaze
EV's: 52 att, 252 sp.att, 206 spe
Hasty nature (+spe, -def)
-Flamethrower
-grassKnot
-Closecombat
-U-turn/Hiddenpower (ice70)

the main sweeper in most teams nowdays... ok..i know it hates stealth rock, sandstorm and life orb damage which really does rack up quickly...but when it comes to late game sweeping it is awesome. i have considered using Lucario in this position for some time but i just cant see the improvment in this...any ideas?

'never seen this before...'
248.png

tyranitar @ choice scarf
Abillity: sand stream
EV's: 4HP, 252 att, 252 spe
Jolly nature (+spe, -Sp.att)
-stoneedge
-Crunch
-superpower
-pursuit

does this guy really need explaining??? its my main way of taking special hits and revenge killing well. It gets rid of azelf and gengar which would normally cause problems for this team.

So...thats the team...obviously a few flaws in there but a team that consistantly pulls in the wins for me. so please say what u think and thanks for reading :D

as far as weaknesses go i feel like a dragon dancing gyrados is a major threat. if he switches in on one of tyranitars super power i can easily see him getting 2 ddances at which point i feel like hed ko your entire team... shaymin may be the possible exception, but ive never used shaymin before so i dont know. i feel like u need strong choice scarfer to deal with this... pretty much anything with electric, but since u have issues with starmie id scarf it.... plus there is the fact that leftovers on a starmie that frail is fairly pointless.

i also highly suggest adding a pokemon that sets up just because i feel like a lot of these guys will open up oppurtunities for a quick set up.... maybe sword dance lucario(if for no other reason that to make ur name make sense), but cutting out infernape might not be a good idea because then i could easily see you being walled

Hello LucarioLegend,

Nice team bro I remember facing something similar to this on wi-fi ages ago, I have a few suggestions that may help your team. One thing I noticed is that this team has trouble against Offensive Bounce Gyarados as well as Agility Lucario. Even Kingdra vairiants such as Chesto+Rest and Substitute to a lesser extent can be a pain to play against. This team also has trouble with Empoleon placing you in a very defensive position not knowing it's secondary move whether it's Ice Beam or Grass Knot. Even DD Tyranitar used well can be dangerous to your team. Offensive Gyarados only needs one Dragon Dance to out speed your whole team and sweep. Gyarados can usually set up on Tyranitar's Superpower/Pursuit and against Infernape. +1 Gyarados can ko' Starmie with Stone Edge or Bounce and the rest of your team with Waterfall+Bounce. Your best method to handle Gyarados is by luring the Bounce to Tyranitar. Doing that alone isn't a safe or guaranteed way to handle Offensive Gyarados. As for Agility Lucario who's main set up is against Tyranitar's Pursuit/Crunch. Once it's set up it can out speed your whole team and due to it's wide coverage it hits 4/6 pokemon on your team with super effective moves. Considering Agility Lucario sets up late game it would have a chance of pulling of an instant sweep. Since Starmie is ko'd by Crunch, Infernape and Tyranitar both get ko'd from Close Combat, Gliscor and Shaymin both get hit by Ice Punch so know you get the jist of this.

First of I would suggest you use Choice Scarf Starmie providing you instant speed which allows you to revenge kill Gyarados and DD Dragonite. By using CS on Starmie you provide this team much needed speed. With the use of Trick you can catch Kingdra right in it's tracks while it uses Dragon Dance and if it Outrages you can use Metagross to handle it respecitvely. Your current set lacked essential necessities such as Recover or Life Orb. CS Starmie also allows you to revenge kill Empoleon after an Agility since you can out speed it.

I would also insist you incorportate Mach Punch on your Infernape to prevent Agility Lucario sweeps as well as Empoleon sweeps. By using Mach Punch you provide much needed aid to CS Starmie since you can't rely on one pokemon to do all your revenge kill etc; I wouldn't suggest you to just throw in Mach Punch into your current sent and I feel your team would rather benefit from Physical Mixed Attacking Infernape which takes full advantage of it's physical side allowing you to nail Vaporeon and offensive Suicune for a 2hko with Close Combat if they try to switch in. Providing this team an useful priority attack. This also lets you handle Tyranitar since you can only rely on Gliscor so much and it's already 2hko'd by Crunch or Stone Edge and lives one Earthquake.

Starmie @ Choice Scarf | Natural Cure
Timid | 4 hp / 252 SpA / 252 Speed
Surf | Thunderbolt | Ice Beam | Trick

Infernape @ Life Orb | Blaze
Naive | 252 Atk / 64 SpA / 192 Speed
Close Combat | Grass Knot | Mach Punch | Overheat

Your anti lead Metagross surprised me and I am sure it's working pretty well for you but I feel something along the lines of a 4 attacking Metagross equiped with Lum Berry would allow you to deal with the current leads more efficiently. With Lum Berry you can play against sleep inducing such as Roserade/Smeargle more effectively. By using this you can play against common lead Azelf more easily as well as the new variant Colbur Berry Azelf. You also 2hko and out speed other lead Metagross and 2hko Jirachi as well. Roserade is easily delt with by Meteor Mash+Bullet Punch.

Metagross @ Lum Berry | Clear Body
Adamant | 220 HP / 252 Atk / 38 Speed
Meteor Mash | Bullet Punch | Earthquake | Explosion

Good Luck :toast:

Hi Scim ^___^

Thanks for threat rates guys and yes Gyara has been a problem now and again, which is why ive bred this

Vaporeon @Leftovers
Abillity: WaterAbsorb
EV's: To Be Determined
Bold Nature

MoveSet yet too be chosen but it does have Wish and HiddenPower Electric70
That should help alot with Gyara and wish support should certainly be taken nicely

Mach Punch Nape sounds brilliant and i will try that along with Vappy

Keep comments coming people and please say if u believe those 2 changes above would help the team
