Introduction:
This is my first volt-turn team and I crafted it with a few ideas in mind. The goal was to create a team that could easily control momentum while providing multiple opportunites for a set up and sweep. I also hate using a rapid spinner so I chose a team that does not worry to much about entry hazards.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
- U-Turn
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
I know, Scizor on a volt-turn team, real shocker. This guy brings so much to a team I just could not say no. His U-turn hits like a truck and maintains momentum. He also brings the hard hitting priority in bullet punch while providing pursuit to boot. The perfect pokemon to start the team out with.

Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Modest
EVs: 232 HP / 56 SAtk / 220 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
It just does not feel right to craft a volt-turn team without Scizors partner in crime. They cover eachothers weaknesses and keep the momentum going with stabbed U-turn and volt switch. Nothing out of the norm here.

Landorus-T @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
Nature: Modest
EVs: 200 HP / 64 Atk / 224 Def
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Stone Edge
I love this guy. He is a sturdy physical wall that also provides my entry hazard. I do not like to spend too much time with hazards but stealth rock provides so much for a single turn investment and with the switches this team causes it is too good to pass up. It is amazing how hard Lando T hits with minimal investment. I have always felt that it is important for volt turn users to actually hit hard otherwise you are just sort of switching around your pokemon and not causing much pressure. Lando T provides me with a 3rd hard hitting volt turner, Stealth Rocks, and a typing that synergizes well with Scizor and Rotom-W.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
Nature: Careful
EVs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe
- Iron Head
- Thunder Wave
- Wish
- Protect
Jirachi really strengthens this core of 4 and works extremely well with Landorus-T. Scizor, Rotom-W, and Lando-T are fairly sturdy pokemon who will hopefully wear a team down. Jirachi brings wish support that the rest of the team LOVES by keeping them all topped off.
Intermission:
This is the core of 4 that I really enjoy playing. They are sturdy, hit hard while maintaining momentum, and have very few resists. The momentum this team provides creates many opportunities for a sweeper to find a favorable match up to boost up. Choosing the last 2 of my wrecking crew was a hard choice that I am still shaky on. I really wanted to use 2 pokemon that really were able to utilize the favorable match ups that a volt turn team provides.

Latios @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Psyshock
- Dragon Pulse
I decided that I had a fairly slow team at this point and I needed a little punch. This is why I decided on Latios. He hits like an absolute truck and is one of the fastest pokemon in OU making revenge killing a bit easier. I am still not 100% on this decision but he really does bring the quick heat.

Dragonite @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 60 SpD / 124 Spe
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
I like dragonite because of his ability to aquire multiple boosts if played properly. I abig part of me would like to put a harder hitting bohemoth here but I just love this set. There are multiple times during a game where dragonite can come in, hide behind a sub, and boost up. Dragonites ability to acheive multple dragon dances is frightening and he is always able to switch out and receive a wish from Jirachi later.
Conclusion:
I really love the core 4 but the last 2 choices were really hard for me. Its not that I dislike Dragonite or Latios, I just feel there may be another duo of sweepers out there that could better utilize the favorable match ups this volt turn team provides. Thank you for your time checking out my team and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
