OU RMT ~My Best OU Team~

Hello!

This is my first RMT and it is OU. When I create and build teams, I always start throwing things together at random (but still with some sort of organization), and then improve upon things from there, switching Pokemon, the roles they play, and things like that.

And for those who would like to know how I built my team, you can look here:

I started with Empoleon, Volcanora and Sceptile. The basic Fire, Water, Grass combo. They were strong as a team, but still had many weaknesses. For example, it didn't have a great ability to hit dragons effectively, as Empoleon was and is a little slow. I also had no way of getting rid of Stealth Rock and Spikes with Empoleon as a lead, which would crush Volcanora. So, I went to thinking and got this:

This is where I put in my lead, with Spikes and Rapid Spin, to clear entry hazards and to place them to protect Volcanora. I also added Salamence, who was put there as a mixed sweeper, and to effectively attack the likes of Garchomp and other Salamence who threatened this team. Everyone supplemented everyone else in some way, but I still had one last slot and no dedicated wall, since Empoleon walled and attacked at the same time, so I ended up putting in Milotic:

Things were great, but Salamence wasn't working out. It did have coverage against Dragons, but it didn't have the speed I wanted it to. One battle against Weavile was all it took to destroy him and allowing a dragon to come in and sweep. There was also a discovered ground weakness that my team had. So, I started trying different Pokemon until I landed the big one:

Mamoswine is the glue of this team and my life-saver. I win a lot of battles with this guy. Ice Shard gave him speed through priority, while a STAB Earthquake, and the powerful Stone Edge wiped opponents away. He's also good at trashing Heatran. All in all, I was satisfied and decided to go elsewhere to help develop my team.

Without further ado, here's the team:

I needed a lead, and eventually went back to a good lead I used to use, one that serves a purpose and that isn't seen much anymore.

FORETRESS @ Iron Ball
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Relaxed
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Def / 128 SpD

Explosion
Rapid Spin
Spikes
Gyro Ball

This lead worked for me before and works now. Sturdy allows me to lay down Spikes at least once. If I can, I'll either Gyro Ball, or explode to knock out their lead (or at least damage it for a sweeper to clean up). Pretty self-explanatory.

Next, I needed Pokemon to clean house, and do it well. After observing many people, I chose these three sweepers to do the dirty work:

Physical Sweepers:

SCEPTILE @ Life Orb
Ability: Overgrow
Nature: Naive
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Swords Dance
Leaf Blade
Rock Slide
Earthquake

I got this Pokemon from observing people battle on Pokemon Online, and let me tell you, that it works great with this team. It's one of the 3 base Pokemon of this team, the other two being Volcanora and Empoleon. It's the only Pokemon with a Grass-type move, giving Vaporeon and other bulky waters a hard time, as there are no Electric types on this team. It has Swords Dance for setup and it's ready to sweep with Leaf Blade, Rock Slide, and Earthquake, which all have great coverage.

MAMOSWINE @ Life Orb
Ability: Snow Cloak
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd

Ice Shard
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Superpower

This typical powerhouse Mamoswine is the slowest of my 3 sweepers, but also the most powerful. With STAB Ice Shard to cover up my team's weakness of dragons such as Garchomp (which he normally outruns), and Superpower for Blissey and the like, this 'mon is one cool dude. He is the glue of my team and essential for its success.

Special Sweeper:

MrQVZTccBNB12xF1n5bM+309u7HACHS+8hy+qJmF1RId9wno2xttebW0W5ZVq+3u6urq6urq6urq6urq6urqumv9C1nKPOBLPcquAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

VOLCANORA @ SilverPowder
Ability: Flame Body
Nature: Timid
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spd

Bug Buzz
Flamethrower
Morning Sun
Quiver Dance

Volcanora has been getting quite a bit of attention ever since the release of Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, and for good reason. It's quick, and it can hit hard, and sometimes, take a hit. Even with its poor defense stat, its special defense is what allows it to keep on truckin'. Bug Buzz is for STAB and Flamethrower for STAB and to cook Ducklett on the grill. :P Morning Sun is the necessary component for Volcanora, as recovery is needed after losing half its health or more thanks to Stealth Rock and friends, and Quiver Dance, of course, for setup.

They say your offense is only as good as your defense, and in the world of competitive Pokemon battling, this is no exception. Now, you may question why I have no physical wall, and that's okay. I learned that this team doesn't require a physical wall. It didn't need one, and so, I didn't put one in. This team, however, is more concerned with 'Special' attacks. Even with several members having decent SpD stats, they weren't and aren't great types for defensive maneuvers, so I have two great special walls, one of which acts more as a utility, and one that stands there and laughs at those who try to attack it. And here they are:

TsMiB+E9pZHSUHj169OjRo0ePHj169MiL31bqjGnBj3kmAAAAAElFTkSuQmCC

MILOTIC @ King's Rock
Ability: Marvel Scale
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD

Dragon Pulse
Aqua Ring
Toxic
Recover

My main special wall, Milotic, blows off many attacks, and can only be 2HKO'd by Thunder. It can stand against much. And, with a lack of a Dragon-type move on my team, Dragon Pulse seemed to be the perfect fit, providing basic coverage while utilizing Milotic's decent SpA stat. Aqua Ring and Recover are there to keep her alive, while Toxic is there to be, well, annoying. Not much else to say. B)

EMPOLEON @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD

Surf
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock
Yawn

Look familiar? It should, cause Milotic and Empoleon have the same Nature and EVs. This man here is my utility Pokemon. It runs Stealth Rock and is often paired with my Foretress to reek havoc, creates sleep for annoyance, and, of course, gives great water-type coverage with Surf, and support with Ice Beam, although Mamoswine outruns dragons with priority. He's the third and final of my base team, covering Fire, Grass, and Water. He's an all-in-one kind of guy.

I hope you enjoyed my RMT and look forward to your feedback!

If you use Volcarona you must have a rapid spinner. Once stealth rock is up Volcarona is just so frail. It is also grounded so takes damage from everything. If something phazers out Volcarona *game over for your special sweeper* With sandstorm+ rain vvery dominant if you don't have a LickyLicky or weather changer/move as well then morning sun will be healing 33% instead of 50% which won't be that great.

I suggest a resttalk milotic.
Milotic @ leftovers
Rest
Sleep talk
Scald
Dragon tail
252 hp and def ev... 6 sp atk ev
Calm Nature
Ability: Marvel Scale

Her defense surpasses or ties her sp def. Calm nature so her sp def is boosted and isn't One hit ko'd by most ele/grass moves. Rest gives her a 50% def boost and with sleep talk dragon tail loses its negative priority so it has a 33.3% chance to remove a slower threat when sleeping.

Try to add Stealth Rock to Forretress as combined with sleeptalk milotic will rack up residual damage. *Note* I see you have it on empoleon. Might want to lead with empoleon. Great Sr+ yawn lead. you can Sr then yawn and then switch out as your opponent most likely will switch.

I like mamoswine (thick fat should be its ability I think it gets it from dream world. Gives it ice and fire resistance now.)

SCeptile should have pursuit to deal with ghosts/ pyschics *solves your problem with gengar/starmie but Life orb starmie might be able to take you out with an ice beam but might be too scared to try and that is where u can pursuit it. Also pursuit is great for none other than Reuniclus. However won't help you with Trick Room Reuniclus=/. Otherwise yay sceptile so cool!

Forretress is just iffy on so many levvels.
If you lead with it it won't be rapid spinning. I rarely see anyone get off a volt switch and still able to rapid spin when it is a lead. It just dies too easily regardless of its defenses. any neutral move really hurts it. Thou it might work, who knows=p

Hope I helped=D!~ NIce team

Hitmontop as your spinner.
Hitmontop @ leftovers

Mach punch/sucker punch

Toxic (for jellicent)/mach punch/sucker punch

Empoleon or mamoswine can use Stealth rock instead and take the lead.
