Hi guys, this is a RMT for an OU team I have been thinking of.
At a glance:
Explanation
1. Heatran @ Air Balloon
EV: 252 Sp Def / 248 HP / 8 Speed
Nature: Calm
Ability: Flash Fire
1. Roar
2. Stealth Rock
3. Lava Plume
4. Toxic
Heatran lead. Start out with Stealth Rock and adjust accordingly to the opponent afterwards. I have Air Balloon so Heatran isn't OHKOd by Earthquake as well as allowing me to switch out vs Dugtrio leads. Heatran's awesome typing covers everything that my other Pokemon are weak against, such as Ghost (Alakazam), Ice/Dragon (Hydreigon). Roar allows for annoyance as constant switching into Stealth Rock puts heavy pressure onto teams and allows me to counter set up teams (Swords Dance, Agility, etc.) Toxic allows for further annoyance, as Roar + Toxic into Stealth Rock takes away decent HP just by switching in.
2. Alakazam @ Focus Sash
EV: 252 Speed / 252 Sp. Attack
Nature: Timid
Ability: Magic Guard
1, Psyshock
2. Focus Blast
3. Shadow Ball
4. Hidden Power Fire
Standard Special Sweeper. Stealth Rock or Spikes is not a threat to Zam because of Magic Guard, so I can fully utilize Focus Sash. Psychock si a strong STAB move and allows me to hit Blissey or any other Sp. Walls hard, allowing some pressure. The other 3 provide type coverage.
as Tyranitar or Heatran will be OHKOd by it. Heatran Choice Scarf out speeds Zam but Focus Sash allows it to survive. Shadow Ball is for Cresselia or Celebi and HP fire is for Scizor. Provided I never took previous damage, Zam is one of two of my Scizor checks as Focus Sash allows survival of Bullet Punch. I also had Fire over Ice as I can at least neutral STAB Gyarados and Dragons with Psyshock.
3. Hitmontop @ Life Orb
EV: 252 HP / 252 Attack
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
1. Fake Out
2. Mach Punch
3. Stone Edge
4. Sucker Punch
TechniTop. using Fake Out, I can get a free hit for good damage. Mach Punch + Technician + STAB= tons of damage. It is also made better because it's a 1st priority move. Stone Edge allows me to hit Dragonite/Gyarados + Pursuit allows for Gengar/Starmie/Celebi. Reuniclus/ Hitmontop is also bulky and is quite capable of surviving attacks. The reason I choose this over Technician Breloom is Fake Out + Sucker Punch. Sucker Punch counters most of the Pokemon that counter Breloom.
4. Hydreigon @ Expert Belt
EV: 252 Sp. Attack/ 252 Speed
Nature: Serious
Ability: Levitate
1. Draco Meteor
2. Fire Blast
3. Dark Pulse
4. Superpower
Hydreigon can be a serious threat as it's type coverage and strong Sp. Attack cannot be ignored, especially a STAB Draco Meteor. Having Draco Meteor puts pressure on an opponent hard, as nothing that isn't Sp. Def oriented or Steel- type can switch on it without either getting OHKO or losing more than half HP. In the case of a Steel, Fire Blast allows for that threat to be neutralized and Superpower can neutralize Pokemon that check Hydreigon, such as Tyranitar, Heatran, Blissey. IIRC there is no pokemon that resists or neutral to all 4 of these attacks, meaning no matter what Hydreigon will hit for Super Effective thats boosted 20% by Expert Belt.
5. Volcarona @ Leftovers
EV: 252 HP / 216 Def / 52 Speed
Nature: Bold
Ability: Flame Body
1. Quiver Dance
2. Fiery Dance
3. Bug Buzz
4. Hidden Power Ice
Probably the best Scizor counter in the game. In addition Volcarona is bulky and can utilize Quiver Dance to set up and go for kills, because Volcarana can easily force switches then set up with Quiver. Fiery Dance+ Bug Buzz provide good STAB, with the former having a chance to boost my Sp. Attack to sweep even better, and HP Ice provide Super Effective or neutral to most counters such as Gyarados/Salamence/Dragonite/Terrakion that would otherwise resist both STAB moves. The only one that truly counters this is Heatran.
6. Starmie @ Leftovers
EV: 252 HP / 252 Speed / 4 Sp. Attack
Nature: Timid
Ability: Natural Cure
1. Rapid Spin
2. Scald
3. Psyshock
4. Thunderbolt
Volcarona needs a spinner or else two switch ins can kill it due to it's Stealth Rock weakness. In addition I need to adjust for Keldeo, so to kill two birds with one stone, I choose Rapid Spin Starmie. Psyshock allows for a strong STAB, especially vs Sp. Def Tentacruel, as well as Keldeo and Terrakion, and Scald also provides a STAB against T-Tar and Volcarona, and provides additional pressure by Burning. Thudnerbolt allows for further type coverage, especially vs Gyarados which I do not think I have anything to check.
