OU RMT

My team was originally built around Weavile – but after many changes to evident gaps in my team I have realised he is my only physical attacker and as a revenge killer is not the best suited to ridding me of special walls. Therefore some suggestions of what I could improve would be much appreciated.

Yanmega @ expert belt
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Modest
Ability: speed boost
Bug Buzz
Air Slash
Hidden Power [Ground]
Protect

Has been a good starter for me. With expert belt needed for a 2HKO on Metagross and most Jirachi. Generally he kills their lead while they SR (out speeding virtually all leads after a single boost) and then causes havoc with his speed and reasonable coverage.

Heatran.png

Heatran @ choice scarf
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Naïve
Ability: Flash Fire
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion
Hidden Power [Ice]

Fairly standard Heatran but very useful. Generally comes in when I see their Scizor trying to revenge kill Yanmega with BP. From their I generally scout their switch with fire blast – or if I expect another Heatran looking for a flash fire boost I earth power from the start (although less so now as you would be amazed how many Scarmory stay in then forcing me to switch again). Also as even an enemy heatran gets a flash fire he generally has too earth power anyway at which point yanmega comes in and HP grounds him.

Porygon 2 @ leftovers
252 HP / 220 Def / 36 SDef
Nautre: Bold
Ability: Trace
Recover
Thunderwave
Thunderbolt
Ice Beam

Again fairly standard. Trace means that it makes a great Gyara counter as well as some salamence (dracometeor is a problem). Generally come in, spread some para, TBolt OHKOs Gyara after 1 LO recoil (and so after SR as well). Whilst Ice Beam finishes of boltbeam and gets an easy OHKO on most dragons. Also often comes in on something that thinks that even with Leech Seed it beats Celebi, granting it some free healing.

Celebi @ leftovers
252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe
Nature: Bold
Ability: Natural Cure
Recover
Leech Seed
Grass Knot
Stealth Rock

Come in on something that is going to switch early on and set up rocks. Later on he stalls pretty well with LS and recover. The 36 speed are to outrun jolly Ttar meaning I can GK him fairly easily. Also works realsonably well against Gyara as leech seed really takes its toll when it has no sure-fire way to bring me down (even after 1 DD ice fang is easily recoverable and I have LS).

Weavile.png

Weavile @ Choice Band
40 HP / 252 Att / 216 Spe
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Pressure
Pursuit
Ice Shard
Brick Break
Aerial Ace

A great revenge killer and my favourite poke. Pretty standard for revenge killing many threats such as Gengar and Mence. The only non-standard is Aerial Ace – Night Slash and Ice Punch I think have little use as he isn’t meant to hit most things hard, he is meant to take out the weak – if he cannot easily kill it he switches, simple. Whilst it cannot compare to the fun of OHKOing Breloom and Heracross (most notably) with aerial ace and taking huge chunks of damage out of other fighters as they think you are a certain to switch (and without AA I almost certainly would).

094Gengar.png

Gengar @ Life Orb / Expert Belt
4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Energy Ball
Hidden Power [Fire]

A slight deviation on the standard here – mostly to deal with all water types (such as a Swampert switching in on TB just to get OHKOed by EB). Shadow Ball for STAB and HP fire mostly for steels. Can switch in on lots with its immunities and makes a great Luke counter as long as they have Extreme Speed over BP (which most do) as HP fire does 90% upwards (OHKO after LO). Expert Belt is another option as I am relying heavily on SE anyway and LO recoil when they have a Blissey is a huge pain.

I am now thinking about changing Weavile (despite loving him) as having changed Heatran’s Dragon Pulse to HP [Ice] (lets face it – dragons don’t like ice anyway) Weavile’s role has diminished somewhat. Still revenges ghosts and psychics but I’m not sure if that is worth a space? However without Weavile my only physical move is explosion on Heatran so a physical is a must. Suggestions please.

I feel like you have far too many Pokemon that just roll over and die to Scizor. Yanmega, Weavile, and Gengar all roll over and die to Bullet Punch, while the threat of U-turn/X-Scissor makes Celebi quiver in fear. If they can take out your Heatran (which isn't hard, as after scouting that as your Scizor switchin with U-Turn they can simply throw out a Superpower for him to walk into) both CB and SD Scizor give this team hell. I suggest swapping out Gengar for Rotom-H and Weavile for a CB Scizor of your own (still has an amazing Pursuit and the ability to revenge Salamence and the like with Bullet Punch). I would also suggest changing Yanmega to something that actually functions well as a lead. (Metagross, Swampert, Heatran, Jirachi, and Roserade are but a few good suggestions).

OK, ill try Cb scizor over weavile then and rotom-h over gengar. But i'm keeping Yanmega as lead as he kills most leads without taking their explosion etc. and after 1-2 speed boosts ot very much can switch in without taking a big hit before taking him down.
