OU Shoddy Team that Peaked at 1430 in 1 Day

After being unbanned from the Official Server (finally), I got right back on and made this team up in around 10 minutes. I never expected it to do this good on the ladder. So, on to the team. Hope you guys like it.

In-Depth Look

Gengar @ Leftovers - Timid
Evs: 252 sp.att | 252 speed | 4 hp
Shadow Ball
Focus Blast
Hypnosis
Substitute

This thing has been amazing for me as a lead. I actually 6-0ed a couple people with this set. Shadow Ball and Focus Blast hits everything for neutral damage. Sub and Hypnosis lets me block status and incapacitate a poke for a few turns. 4 hp evs lets me make 5 subs with no sand present, including leftys gain and the rest is standard. He also blocks Rapid Spin and Explosion if he's still around later in the game.(My favorite poke.)

Lucario @ Life Orb - Adamant
Evs: 252 att | 252 speed | 4 hp
Close Combat
ExtremeSpeed/Bullet Punch
Sword Dance
Ice Punch/Crunch

Good ol SD Lucario. Just hits things hard and now, with Platinum's help, can even take down his #1 counter, Gliscor. I only use 1 Platinum move per team and Lucario was the lucky one on this team. I do have trouble with the set a bit. Crunch lets me hit the Ghosts/ Psychics (Cress) but Ice Punch really helps against Dragons/Flyers/etc. Bullet Punch also gets a mention since I'd really like to hit Gengars before they can touch me.

dpmfa373.png

Salamence @ Life Orb - Jolly
Evs: 216 hp | 196 def | 16 att | 76 speed
Dragon Claw
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
Roost

Man is this thing great in mid-late game. Once the levitating/flying Steel pokes have been scraped, he just rips through whats left. I dont like to get locked into Outrage so I went with the weaker Dragon Claw. Roost is for recovery from the Rocks and after he takes a few hits + recoil. BulkyMence is now in the shadow of offensive OutrageMence but he's still a force to be reckoned with.(Credits to Justinawe for the idea and spread)

Tyranitar @ Leftovers - Jolly
Evs: 252 hp| 248 speed | 8 att
Crunch
Earthquake
Dragon Dance
Substitute

Here is the only real trouble in this team. He can either be a savior or the death of me. Sandstorm. Half of the team resists it but the other half looses some of their kick. Mence with Life Orb now goes down a bit quicker, Gengar can't Sub forever, and Cress looses her recovery move pretty much. On the other hand, T-Tar is one hell of a pokemon. The spread lets me beat Bliss 1-1 without Focus Punch and 1 Dance lets me beat 115 base speed pokes. I bring him in on a Bliss or SupportCress and set a Sub. Then DD up and attempt to sweep. I try to save him for really late game.

Cresselia @ Leftovers - Bold
Evs: 204 hp | 172 def | 56 sp.att | 76 sp. def
Ice Beam
Charge Beam
Moonlight
Reflect

ScreenCress is a good poke on most teams. Reflect to help the def of the team while I have BoltBeam (actually its BeamBeam) for great coverage. After 2 or 3 boosts it can put a good sized dent into pokes. Moonlight is the issue here. Rest restores full hp, but gives my oppenent 2 turns to set up with something. Moonlight is instant recovery, but gets dropped to only 25% with the Sand. She take phsyical hits well and provides the team with a solid MixApe counter.

dpmfa437.png

Bronzong @Leftovers/LumBerry - Sassy
Evs: 200 hp | 148 def | 156 sp. def | 4 att
Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock
Light Screen
Explosion

Ah Bronzong, what a great poke it is. He takes most of my special hits for me and lays out the all important Stealth Rocks. he also serves as my counter to most Weaviles and Deoxys-S. Gyro Ball for an attacking move back up by Explosion to "go out with a bang." I've realized that 75% of the switch-ins to Zong are Trans so Light Screens lets it(and the rest of the team) deal with ScarfTran easier. My main defensive poke on most of my teams.

Threat List
  • Defensive Phazers mostly like Skarm and Pert. If I see them as a lead, the 1st thing that come to my mind is to sleep them. i that doesn't work, then I'm in for a long match.
  • Garchomp(only on Shoddy) Nothing on this team is meant for Chomp except Cress but I've only saw like 2 that whole day.
  • DDGyara. The only Electric move is Charge Beam from Cress but the SR will wear it down to XSpeed Range.
Those are the only poke I had trouble with but if you guys see anymore feel free to point them out.

Considering
  • Metagross over Bronzong. I feel his priority move and extra pwer will help this team more.
  • The Lucario set. I need help with that one so please help me out.
Outro

Thanks for looking at my team and for your suggestions in advance. Also it wasn't like nonstop playing on the ladder, just on and off.

Why not try Taunt on Tyranitar > Substitute. It still prevents status, with the exception of those moves with side effects, which would get to you anyways without a Sub up, while also being able to stop Skarmory from ruining you. As for Swampert, a simple Grass Knot > Explosion on Bronzong fixes that up.

I (really) dont like the moonlight/sandstorm combo.
In fact, tyrannitar doesn't really fit with the rest of the pokes.
If skarm and pert are giving you a problem, why not try infernape over tyrannitar. He is a great wall breaker, and he wont bring in any sandstorm.
Oh, and i suggest a jolly nature on lucario, so you will win for certain on the mirror match. Plus it is faster than slowmences and standard gliscor to make your icepunch actually worth it.

I agree with Nihilus that something Like Infernape is going to do really well on your team. At the moment you are also completely ruined by SkarmBliss, the only thing you have with a Hope of taking it down is SD Lucario, and that is assuming Lucario can get an SD in and you get a bit of Luck on the Damage on Skarmory. So Nihilus is definately right in suggesting Infernape. Life or or Expert Belt Ape will work fine allowing you to get crucial KOs on said problem pokemon, Skarmory, Swampert and also Blissey. You could run standard NP Mix ape, OR you could run either Hidden Poer Ice or Thunder Punch, Thunderpunch is for those Gyarados who try to come in and set up on you (actually HP Electric may do more damage after an Intimidate), HP Ice will deal with Garchomp (up to an Extent, you don't want to be HP Iceing Yache Chomp or Full Health Chomp for fear of losing your infernape, so be careful there.

As for SD Lucario Again I believe that Nihilus is right, Jolly Lucario allows you to get the Jump on Many things, Gliscor, Salamence, + Speed Mamoswine and also other Adamant Lucario. Extremespeed vs Bullet Punch is a question that will never be abswered and it is really up to personal preference what you would like to go with, I would say that now you no longer have TTar then Ghost are a tad bit more of a problem, especially Gengar so Bullet Punch would allow you to hit those. Good Luck testing the rest out :D

If you really want to keep Tyranitar, I think changing Salamence to a Mix Mence could really help out. It's a great way to clear the stage for a Tyranitar/Lucario sweep, due to it being able to kill common "counters." As for Cresselia you could run a Vaporeon, or a pokemon along the lines of that so that you have wish support and a solid infernape counter. You could even run a Zapdos who makes a pretty good combo with Tyranitar/Bronzong/Zapdos.

Well that's all I have right now, I'll edit in anything I else I find.

thanks for the suggestions guys. the standard gliscor is now faster thean lucario? im behind on the metagame. ill get to testing them asap.
