Stall has always been my favorite style of playing, and this team has worked pretty well for me since I've started using it. I have a lot of trouble dealing with Volt Turn teams and certain sets like toxic stall gliscor. Any and all changes are welcome.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Slack Off
- Roar
- Earthquake
I usually lead Hippo against most teams, I like getting turn 1 Stealth Rocks, and keeping rain/sun teams from getting up their weather right away. Slack Off is for recovery. Roar has worked well for me, but I've seen Ice Fang used instead. Earthquake so that I have an attack move and also to kill the likes of Terakion.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic
- Flamethrower
Blissey/Chansey are the best special walls in the game, so I needed to have one on my team. I'm considering changing to 252 HP/ 252 Def. I like Wish/Protect for recovery, and also to stall and scout for choice users. I can spread Toxic for residual damage, and Flamethrower so I can hit deal with ghosts, and forretress.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Payback
I usually decide whether I set up spikes or toxic spikes first depending on the team. Spikes works nicely with Stealth Rocks, and once I have three layers up, my team is able to work really well. I've seen Forretress that use Volt Switch or Gyro Ball over Payback, but I like being able to hit ghosts that try to spin block me, considering changing though.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Roar
- Recover
Latias is here so I don't get completely destroyed by Reuiniclus. It also is a nice late game sweeper. I get into CM wars with them, then roar them away. After that I'm usually in a good spot assuming I don't bring in their Scizor or T-Tar. Dragon Pulse is a powerful STAB move that can deal good damage to anything that doesn't resist it.
@ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 212 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Taunt
- Toxic
- Recover
Jellicent is the best spin blocker, and another nice wall to have. I used to have Surf but changed to Scald and have liked the change. Less damage, but the chance to burn things that try to switch in is always nice. (whenever I do get the burn). Taunt helps shut down Chansey/Blissey that think they can wall me. I've always had Toxic but maybe Will-o-Wisp would work better here. Recover is obviously for recovery.
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Rotom is another offensive threat on my team. I like being able to Trick walls that don't expect me to be scarfed. It can help against other stall teams, and make those walls useless. HP Fire over HP Ice because I feel that I can deal with dragons like Dragonite with Hippo by Roaring them out and weakening them with rocks damage. Hydro Pump is a nice move and can OHKO Gliscor's that can be a threat to this team. (mostly the stall variants)
